Hi all, I've had my Nano for a about a week and I love it so far, thanks for the help!

I am wondering about using concentrates with the nano. I have only used shatter/wax in a rig specifically made for concentrates.

Should I even be trying concentrates with the nano or would I be better off using a concentrate specific rig?

Is there a type of concentrate that works better than others?

Are there agreed upon best practices?

Any other thoughts?

Thanks!
This is just me...but I do not run concentrates in my expensive herb vapes. Boiling volatile concentrates is rather easy technically. Extracting from plant material in a herb vape is a tougher challenge and I do not personally want to gunk up my flower vapes with 'trates reclaim.

I do occasionally run a dosing capsule in an S&B device with an herb/concentrates sandwich in there...but even there I try to be very careful and not put too much 'trates in there as that stuff migrates like hell.

Also, quite frankly, I prefer my D-nail Halo and Liger for concentrates.

Hi Yippee welcome to the board, hope you enjoy yourself. I break a bunch of glass in a years so I am always looking for a way to avoid another glass order to EpicVape. May I suggest that as a preventive you can armor up the standard stems. The one in the picture (below) was a replacement that came out of the mail with the end broken off so it got the usual 3/8" silicone O rings and a short piece of silicone tube stretched over the broken end.

My usual fix is using a WPA and a piece of whip cut to what ever length you want. Upside less glass to break and easy to tear down for cleaning, downside your air path now has a length of silicone whip in it.

Last but not least, Eds TnT produces some darn nearly bullet proof stems for the Nano. https://edstnt.com/index.php?route=product/search&search=e-nano Like all his work they are real nice. Good Luck

Regarding concentrates/hash: I use a bubbbler, and my gong is always upside down with the cotton/dab inside. So it never really even touches the heater and nothing drips into the nano.

I've seen and heard of people using it dry but I don't know how much wax or spillage drips down. In cotton I think most of it gets soaked up so there won't be much mess, but there is some of it that gets through (visible in my bubbler). So use enough flower or cotton accordingly!

Enjoy!

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Often I use a j hook and sometimes a bubbler as well with my concentrates so the Enano is up side down. That may feel more safe for some that have reservations and concerns.

My nano spends so much of its "on-duty" time standing on its head it probably doesn't know what's up or down. In fact. as I've commented on before, the continuous act of flipping my nano over on its head and then returning it back onto the table causes me to constantly twist up my power cord. Every few days I hold it up by the plug and let the unit spin itself undone.

If I would just remember to flip it back in the opposite direction after use I wouldn't have this problem. But I'm usually more high when I have to flip it back over. :goat:

Did this post make sense?

Today my new long stem arrived:clap:! I do not remember a comparison of the long stem and the short face to face so here I leave an image where you can see the differences in size:o:

image.jpg

but my illusion it did not last long:mad:, my stem has some kind of defect that prevents my nano from stopping when I warm my flowers pushing these and the basket and preventing thus to be able to heat the flowers without burning them:bang:, someone had similar experience?

Send a few minutes old an email to the epic team explaining my problem to see if it can give any solution

Notice how the stem enters beyond the silicone inside the nano

I have not connected for days, we have escaped north!

but I wanted to leave cost of the good service received by the epic team and especially @nadia_epic which in less than 24 hours of sending them my email answered me and saved me time and the work of processing the RMA and my replacement stem is on the way

impeccable service and fantastic keep this team epic, thanks again @nadia_epic for your help

Who Is Nate?
Does anyone sell a weighted base for the Nano?

I'm not looking for one like the stand thing Epic sells, but just a weighted base so the thing wont fall over all the time.

Why did you wrap the nano?

The wood cracked so I warped it closed till I got my clamps back.

You mean: "PVC is not "Just" for fluids", right? As a pose to "PVC is just "Not" for fluids", which implies a totally different meaning.

That is all assuming of course, that we are using correct English language.;) (Sorry, I'm just a curious cat and a stickler for clarity).

Alexis you can stickle it any way you want, I don't mind.

Is that a extra large Enano bowl and does that work ?

would love to have like a large pipe esq bowl for the enano to sit and puff on

of course stirring between hits

I do that with my Sticky Brick - Hydro brick but often or not finish the bowl to fast and die OR I am watching a movie and torch lighter is LOUD !!! :p

I like too mix it up?

I use a MOD & TANK 4 ROSIN or SHATTER (before bed)

Sometimes I just use my NANO?

Organic COTTON LYNN'S is the brand I buy. (just use clean)

My E-nano is getting power but is not heating up. Haven't used it in months and decided to fire it up. Sadly it wasn't heating up and I had to smoke a bowl from a spoon.

You guys have any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Have you tried a different outlet? You said it’s lighting up but not heating. It could be the heater. I won’t suggest the power cord because some power is getting to the nano.

Get a hold of Epicvape on Monday, give Nadia an email. They are located by the west coast - Pacific Time.

What equipment is this for? (Noticed whilst ordering a replacement part and my imagination made EV2=ElectricVape2 as some internal name for a new nano)

I’m sure some of you have read the recent article about metals being present in e-cig vapors. Should this give Enano users cause for concern or does the construction of the Enano and the placement of its ceramic coil negate the leaching of heavy metals into vapor that the e-cigs are experiencing?

The E-Nano was designed for the purest air path. Ambient air enters the top of the vaporizer and through the holes in the food grade stainless steel heater. The air then travels past the 100% ceramic lifetime guaranteed heating element where it is heated from zero to 550 degrees. The heated air passes through your favorite bud. Unlike most vaporizers the air you breath never comes in contact with or passes through any electrical circuitry.

Your herb never touches the heating element directly so all vaporization is done through convection, never conduction. You only taste what you put in, the E-Nano is flavor city which is why the E-Nano is continually rated one of the best vaporizers.

I copied a lot of above from the Epic’s website. I would contact Andy @ACE OF VAPE and ask some questions.

Yes, I’ve seen that promotional material before. It doesn’t really answer much. All self-descriptions from vape manufacturers describe how their air paths are “clean” and “safe”. I don’t know much about e-cigs, so to all the users that are familiar with the design of an e-cig vs the Enano: is there an inherent difference in the Enano design that would make the air traveling past its ceramic heater any less susceptible to contamination than the air in the e-cig?

I could be wrong but I believe the problems are in the e juice that is vaporized.
Also crappy vape pens with sketchy materials and vapor path.
