What up...Nano nation....got a Q for ya. I'm interested in adding a new portable unit to my collection. I'm curious as to what other nano users use. I would like something comparable to the quality vapor that we get on our amazing Nano. My buddy has a Crafty I really do enjoy. But at that price point its not really an option for me currently. And would like to stay convection as well.
I'm also not really cool with waiting months for the device...lol e. i. The Grasshopper lol
Ive been on the fence about a Firewood 3.0 unit. Does anyone own one here...and what's ur thoughts in comparison to the Nano Vape experience...and the FW. Thanks for ur thoughts guys ! Cheers

Hey! I'm a new Nano owner myself (1 week!), and I'm coming from being on portables 100% of the time. I have a Firewood 3.0 and its one of 3 portables I use regularly. Out of those 3 portables, the Firewood became my daily driver almost immediately after I got one.

As far as performance comparisons, granted the vapor production on the Firewood 3.0 is great, its obviously not going to be as good as vapor from the Nano. That being said, it does produce a decent cloud and within 20-30 seconds after powering it on and giving it a 2 second priming hit (to kick on the heater to its heat up phase). It's a convection vape and a good one at that for a portable. I prefer the flavor and performance of a convection vape which is why I went with the Firewood 3.0. I am a bit biased as I really like the Firewood's... the only other one that was convection that I really enjoyed was the Hammer, but not sure if a hissy butane vape is what you're looking for (I'm assuming you want something to tote around with you and not draw attention to yourself?). That being said about the Hammer, it too performs well, gives vapor fairly quick, and gets the job done.

Either way my vote would go to the Firewood if I had to make a choice; its fairly concealable, has good performance, it doesn't stink too badly, and its easy to load and go. The only catch is grabbing one when they're available. I want another one, but I always seem to miss when he's popped them up for sale on his site.

Anyway hoped this helped you!

Again, new e nano owner. Went from portable to e nano. I would say go with Arizer air or solo. Main difference air is more portable/solo has more power and wider but still can be taken out. That being said I am Extremely happy with the Air as a compliment to e nano. Both are identical in how you clean which makes it a very fast cleaning process.

The e nano has cleaner vapor(if that makes sense). Meaning the e nano will give the best tasting 1-5 hits(variable with screen adjustment). Whereas the air more of a session vape that takes 10-15 min to finish the .1 bowl. I have yet to experience a better portable. Much better and efficient then pax imo. Never tried firewood.

My only issue with the air is you need external battery adapter and additional batteries. Only reason why I say is you NEED it is because you can smoke it literally anywhere. Excellent on golf course and ski lift.

As for my e-nano. I fucking love it. It's excellent. The quality of vapor is second to none. Would I like to see the exact temp? Yes but after continued use you find the temp that you like the best and usually roll with that.

Just had a question myself. The res that collects on the glass stem for e nano is that smoke/vapeable? And does that contain potent thc vs bowl resin? Or is it more of the waste of the good vapor that we are inhaling?

The resin that collects on the glass stem is potent medicine. You can scrape it off and put it in some cotton and vaporize it through your Enano. You can also stir your hot cocoa with it. Another way is you can sandwich the oil in between your herb in like a sort of a sandwich.

It is potent similar to concentrates you buy but maybe not as tasty.

The Enano is indeed s flavor maker and it keeps on coming. One more day until the weekend. It's cannabis farmers market day tomorrow.

My Walnut E-nano came yesterday! This thing is awesome, nice smooth feel to the wood, it heats really fast when turning it up to 8-10, then turning it back down to 6-7.5. The direct draw stem keeps the vapor tasty and cool enough to not irritate the throat. I thought the cord was gonna be more of a problem than it is, i find if wrap part of the cord around the corner edge of my desk it keeps everything from tipping, but i don't worry about that usually cuz i never leave the glass stem on the unit if not in use. Very happy i ordered the adjustable Gong it pairs really nicely with my PNWT.

One decision to make for your portable is: Do you want one that's powered by batteries or torch/butane? Each has its benefits. If you want battery-powered then you can't go wrong with a solo. I don't even have one but they come so highly recommended. If I were to get a battery-powered vape that would be the one. I don't know much about the Firewood3
If you wanted to give the torch a try then I would highly recommend the Lotus. Great with the regular stem or J hook and best with the gong and a waterpipe. Others also swear by the vapman. With either vapes, your body never inhales butane fumes.

I use my Nano at anywhere from 5.75 on the dial to 6.50. My guess 6.50 would be around 390 degrees on my unit. The temps vary a bit from unit to unit.

@Plotis hopefully everything continues work for you. This vaporizer will last you for many years to come.

Nano/Solo combo works well for me also. If I really need to be stealthy with the solo, I can break out the cup mod if needed.

As far as the oil that builds up on the stems/gongs...

I just leave them in the units and let them heat up for a bit, then shove some herb in there, stir it around with a poker, take it out and just vape that. I go a slightly higher temp when vaping that stuff, btw.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for reclaiming the oil that collects on the inside of the stem? I'm thinking of making up some kind of tool out of plastic chop stick I have but am wondering what others have done.

Set level to 10. Take chopstick and push screen to as close to heater without touching, 1/4in from heater roughly. Let sit for 5-10min. Then take chop stick and push screen out other end toward mouthpiece. All that gold will collect on screen and you can scrape off that. I recommend waiting till some serious gold collects. I did this last night and was able to collect 1/2g.

You can use alcohol method but it's just easier for me to scrape. I clean stem after I collected most (90%ish) of the golden nectar. The other left over on glass can be reclaimed but I just clean with ISO and dump rest. Hope this helps.

Wanted to update any folks who may remember my issues last month. Even after waiting a month (initially) for a new inventory of cords I was sent out a defective one, unsure whether it was just luck on my part or if an old one got mixed in. I've stayed off the thread primarily out of frustration with the situation, it took me 6++ weeks to receive a functioning unit/cord from the date of my order, several of those weeks the nano sat boxed up ready for an RMA....

Anyways, the nanos a lot easier to enjoy now that it works. Since the change in cords I've had no issues whatsoever, my favored temp is right around 7.2 through glass and just under 7 dry. At 7.2 and with the screen riding a little high I've mastered 2 hit extractions which is generally my preferred method of usage. This is a great vape, it's just too bad it took me 6+ weeks to find out. And frankly that still stings, I sent Andy emails to discuss the issue since some folks had advised me too and received messages back from his CS rep, which in most cases would be fine but I feel in this case it wasn't the right move. Customer Service isn't technical support and some of the questions I was asking may of gone over her head, I can't help but believe my issue would of been handled a lot quicker had Andy responded to my emails directly. By the time anyone got back to me I had already bought myself a voltage regulator and upgraded my multimeter trying to troubleshoot the issues myself.

Hopefully my nano and I are onto more positive things from here on out :peace: and for years to come.

I must have a dry batch of CANNABIS?
Had to lower the NANO dial from 6.5 to 6.0.

Did I say perfect adjustment?

Where would it end? Eterra? Purple Days? MyrtleZap? Woodeez?

Log vapes have been around a while, and the general underlying principles are actually really simple--there is not much to patent/register. Besides, if that happened, we wouldn't have any of the wonderful generation of innovative log vapes that we do now!

The vapes you mentioned are hardly the first log vapes. Furthermore the all have different heating elements and while similar in function are all different.

Check out the eterra on vaporpedia. From what I gather all log vapes stem (i giggled) from that design. If you look through the desktop section you'll find a few others, for the most part they revolve around a ceramic heating element. The nanos particularly unique in that its AC and features a built in dimmer.

Edit: @mrfloopa beat me to it

I am experimenting using variable power settings on the Nano from around 5.5 to around 7.5 so I can get a package of results from low temp tastes to high levels of extractions in the same session. Problem is I don't like to wait for the vape to adjust to new power settings.

My number one request on a "nano 2" would be temp monitoring of some kind so I could adjust my dial, and know when it's ready. I don't care about temps themselves, just a simple dual light setup would work. Red for heating up, blue when it's at the temp, or something like that. I love the nano and can't think of many changes I would like to see, but that is a biggie on a short list.

Hey fc members, made an account to ask questions regarding the purchase of my new E nano while I could go through the 600 pages of replies is rather get some quick tips from active users as of 2016. I followed the tip to use the epick as a measurement for the screen and to let the unit heat up for 10-20 minutes however after the first hit I am finding half of my load (the portion on the bottom half) to be instantly brown or abved at 6.5-7 with differing results (nice cloud with taste, no cloud taste) This is with the regular dry screen and I just ordered a water attachment but I was hoping to get better results with the dry method? Many people refer to the load size yet not everyone has a super fine scale. Should I think of It as loading less or loading more? Thanks for any replies!

Don't worry about the load weight as long as it works. Pay attention to a consistent load ( visual size, grind, pack) that makes it easier to get a handle on your draw rate and preferred temperature range. The E-Nano is a simple basic vape that repays user attention to details with impressive results. IME
