Have you measured your basket depth recently? Check with the E-Pik to confirm your basket is sitting around 15mm deep.My nano seems to run cooler now after a couple weeks use. 6.5 used to brown the herbs a bit towards the end of the bowl. Now, even higher temps (7-7.5) don't brown the herb lightly like when it was new. This is with a full heat up of over 15 minutes on 6.5. It just doesn't hit the same way. Its either too cool or too hot now.
What gives?
I usually ran the vape for 10 hrs a day then off at night.

I agree with this......ive had my nano for 4 months and ive just recently discovered a new draw technique.....i think im getting more of a full lung pull now....im getting better flavor and effects.....i cant explain it
I also had my screen fall out of the bottom of my gong yesterday
Twice
What works better for you, a lighter draw like youd hit a mflb ( if you have), or a harder draw like if you were smoking a cigarette or blunt? For me i try to do a long, pretty hard draw because the Nano is able to produce some great clouds where as i think many vapes arent suited to be hit nearly as hard.
The nano really is a powerhouse for personal consumption or two people. Cant speak for more than that since i dont use the nano for passing around.
This is a reply to everyone that replied on this matter.
Basket height is standard, with a clean screen. No air conditioning yet. Material never seems to brown even after its dried out when at 6.5.
When at 7.5 for a long time it will brown a gong bowl pretty easy, but not right away if I turn it up from 6.5.
It seems like it has less extraction power at lower temps now (with a few different batches of herb) which is weird since it was recently working so well.

Pretty much out of suggested possible reasons here. Though could be the cord or even heating element. If everything is the same and you're still running into issues, might be time to check with Andy. Hard to say. I figured it was a failing vape in all circumstances I describe above, but turned out not to be the case for me. One thing to keep in mind, though.... It takes a few minutes to actually get the heat up to 7.5 from 6.5. Shouldn't take too long, but it isn't instant.
Anyone else use the epic tool as a grinder ?
Not saying you don't have an issue with heater, but don't think we've ever seen one go slowly. Usually they die all together if it is heating element itself. Cord issues can be intermittent and I would suppose gradual if something going bad or dirty in the dial.

My original Nano went slowly. First it seemed to get cooler over the course of a few days. Had to keep going further up the dial to get the same results (with no other changes, same vaping material, same outlets, etc). Went from using it at 6.5 to almost 8.
Then eventually the light lit up, but the element was dead.
My mistake. Maybe it was the heating element itself. Have assumed these types of issues were with getting power to it - mostly based on how mine went. Temps started getting flaky, then had to jiggle the cord/dial to get even the light to come on. Doesn't take nearly the electricity to light the small LED as to heat. But, think there have been a couple of instances way back there where heat just stopped although light continued to function normally. So, wonder if a new cord would fix problems with heat dropping instead of sending whole unit in. Not positive, but pretty sure my unit came back from repair with same heating element and a new cord. Was the heater what crapped out on yours?
Really sounds like you might have a problem with the vape. Set it to 7.0 and let it sit for 1 hour. Then give it a shot. See if letting it preheat for a full hour+ helps. If you've left it on for extended periods of time and you still can't get the vape to work, it sounds like maybe your heating element or wiring is going bad.
I personally would send it in for warranty work if all else fails. You do have a lifetime warranty with it, so why not!
Nice low diffusion piece, what is it?
Hey guys, just wanna show you my Nano setup!
@ ratchet I know you don't like the FC186 however the NANO will provide milk shake rips!Nice low diffusion piece, what is it?
