Nice low diffusion piece, what is it?
Thanks man! Just a lil Bubbler I bought off a friend for $20. Thick glass, heavy, sturdy, love this thing. Not perfect, but it has personality.

Nano specialists, what about this water tool. I think it looks nice but will it preform? It takes a 14mm gong
Get what you like!Nano specialists, what about this water tool. I think it looks nice but will it preform? It takes a 14mm gong. @ataxian suggests the D022 bubbler with the Nano - it's not as pretty as this, I know looks aren't important when it comes to a bubbler.
A nice looking piece, but the base is a little small. I would knock it over in no time.Nano specialists, what about this water tool. I think it looks nice but will it preform? At first, I didn't see it, but now that I'm experimenting with very fine grind I can see what you're talking about.Anyone else have herb dust building up in there stem?
So when I had my Air, the stem would get coated with goo over time and also have a bit of dust in there along with the occasional plant particles.
However I've noticed with my E-Nano that the stem seems to build up a lot of dust on the drawing side. Anyone else have this issue? I'm thinking maybe my screen just needs replaced because it must be letting this debris by somehow despite be such a fine screen.
My main concern is though, how likely is it that all the debris is just un-vaped crystals? I'm not sure whether I should just clean the thing or if what's in there is worth gathering with some cotton and re-vaping. I know people harvest the goo that builds up but what about the dust? Is it most likely just already vaped debris that is just junk?
Also wouldn interested if anyone has suggestions on how to prevent this debris from building up so quickly. I just cleaned my stem maybe 2 weeks ago to looking like new and already the inside looks like it was in an abandoned attic for 10 years collecting dust.
I always pull the stem off... but wat is the benefit if i would not.... what is your experience... bigger clouds because of extra conduction?Do you guys pull your stem off to clear the same way you do your gong?? After the first hit i leave the stem on and you can see vapor still in the stem.....after the 2nd draw i pull it off and
I would buy 10 of those. Na realistically 5 but I really wanted to get my point across. U kno? Thanks man! Just a lil Bubbler I bought off a friend for $20. Thick glass, heavy, sturdy, love this thing. Not perfect, but it has personality.
I dont think its more conduction......i just think that you arent drawing for 3 or 4 secs to get the vapor started...........as soonas you start drawing you inhale the vapor left in the stem and then new vapor behind it.....its basically the same as "priming" which has been discussed earlier in tge thread.... in that case, people were doing a half draw,to get the vapor started, exhaling and then a full draw.....same conceptI always pull the stem off... but wat is the benefit if i would not.... what is your experience... bigger clouds because of extra conduction?
And i also want to admit that my love relation is going on strong with the e nano... until now it is my favorite vaporizer... only complaint is bad portability aka it is not portable...
Why do you enjoy it so much? Haha? I feel these smaller pieces are a little more difficult to milk because there's no chamber, but I get plenty toasted, huge clouds, and a very, very clean taste. Still wish I had a nice chambered, nice drag bubbler tho. But I like that this is smaller and probably a one and only.I would buy 10 of those. Na realistically 5 but I really wanted to get my point across. U kno?
Someone posted the same idea earlier with the GonG, and am posting this for those who haven't thought of this with the stem.
Fold the silicone up to easily and safely heat soak with one hand.

I went into imgur, what I do wrong

Yess!! The answers to everything!
Here's a quick tip to keep your stems from rolling off the table, and the dreaded 'lost Epik'
Just slide the E-pik a bit into the silicone sleeve.

At first, I didn't see it, but now that I'm experimenting with very fine grind I can see what you're talking about.
I first started using a second screen near the draw side of the stem. But now I found that reshaping the screen with your fingers do the trick for the most part. What I noticed is that very small quantity of trichomes and herb particles were mostly escaping from the side of the screen in the space between the screen and the glass. So the idea is to make the screen tight enough on the side so the trichomes don't escape.
I have great success lately by reshaping the screen with my fingers (fingernails if possible). It's a bit complicated to explain, but logical. The idea is to avoid the particles and trichomes of finely ground weed from escaping from the side of the screen. You reshape the screen with the goal of keeping the diameter of the screen as large as possible. You do this by pulling down a bit the sides of the screen. So the side (which is round) will lose maybe 1mm or 0.5mm in height. The diameter of the screen will gain this 1mm or 0.5mm.
I do it everytime I reload the screen. I reshape it with my fingers as said above.
Since I personally do it many times, maybe the side of the screen don't lose 0.5mm anymore. Maybe it's only 0.0005mm. In the sense that after a couple of times you end up just keeping the diameter of the screen as it is just to make sure you don't lose a couple of fractions of mm (which happens most probably when you remove the screen from the top of the stem heater side, so maybe pushing the screen out 'draw side' instead can help. The stick also make the screen go round instead of flat, thus losing a fraction of mm in diameter, which you can also correct by reshaping the screen using your fingers.).

So, back on Nano topic..Just got back from Italy, because my mom flies there as a flight attendant so I got to fly standby, and as a result I went on a four day tolerance break, when I normally smoke daily. Came back and whipped out the Nano right away. I was so excited to try low temp vaping, as I was reading about the effects and wanted to test it. I let the Nano preheat on 5.2 for about 30 minutes and packed myself a stem. My screen is a wee bit further away than the default setting. I took about 4-5 hits on 5.2-5.4, then went up to 6 for the last hit. I repeated this for another packed stem. Unfortunately, as I was vaping, I didn't find it as enjoyable as the higher temps. The vapor didn't feel as....full. Didn't give me the warmth of drinking coffee. I've mostly only consumed cannabis through combustion, high temp mflb, and 6.5 Nano, so this was new. I packed my things, left my room, and sat on the couch. and....holy..shit I'm surprisingly buzzed. Like, very very. I know the 4 day T break is a huge factor, but either way! Very surprising for the little amount of vapor I saw.
I will be vaping again most likely in about an hour, and I think I didn't get the "full" feeling hits because my screen was too far away. I'll try to turn my temp down to 5 with a closer screen. Will update on that when it happens. Anyone want to throw at me their favorite vaping technique? Willing to experiment.
I did try to stretch the screen with my wooden stick(s) first. It felt a bit harder to control but I presume, after a few practice with it, it can get easier and end up with the same results. At the moment, I'm really satisfied with my technique; When I pass the screen along the stem to put it back, with a bit of light, I can see the honey oil around the "top" edge/circumference of the screen. I know there's no gap between the screen and the glass since there's honey oil all around the circumference with no breaks. So it means my screen is really tight on the whole circumference. That's a way to verify it.Sounds interesting and may give it a try. But, this is also part of the reason I always suggest using a dowel or something to stretch your screens. I've sanded mine down a wee bit so that it will stretch the screen all the way down to the flat part, but still allow it to fit easily in the GonG. Once it is used a few times, it's easy to stretch out all the way down and eliminate any space around the edges. No need to futz around with it to much with your fingers this way. The screens end up nice and tight in the glass, too.
