I believe it is a custom option, but you'd have to ask Andy.
Canned air contains a bittering agent to discourage inhalation, I would not want to inhale from anything with a bitterant residue on it.

I use one of these: Air Compressor. Think I got it on sale for around $40. It's loud, but it pays for itself if you use a lot of canned air around the house. Think enano, screens, computers, bikes, electronics, the car, etc..

I didn't say disturb, I said "it would be something else to get dirty in the air-path". The bulb and the hole drilled in the aluminum would create more areas for dust and debris to gather in/on... and be a little harder to keep clean.
I haven't found in the year I've had my Nano that it gets dirty at all. Maybe a spec now and then, but that's it.
Personally I think it could be cool under the nano... .....like wooden spaceship about to blast off... Haha...
I like the nano as it is the best though.

Cool, any specific reason why a neon bulb? I just assumed it was a led as well. Today I got to know my E-Nano a little bit better.
Now that I have a newer, longer GonG I've been able to experiment with higher temps with the screen farther away and I'm liking it. My body is liking it.

It's Walnut, one of the more contrasting pieces I have seen. The transition from light to dark from top to bottom had me right away.
I could just be making this, but I think I read somewhere on here that it has something to do with the wiring/build design?
Or maybe it had something to do with volts and wattage....

Hey guys, I've been having an unusual issue with my E-Nano lately and I was wondering if anyone had any advice. Right now the vape works fine most of the time, but I have noticed that if it's moved around the power cuts out and the light goes off. This can cause it to lose heat during use. After trial and error I'm pretty sure that the problem lies in the base of the E-Nano and not in any other part of the cord or temperature control.

I'm not sure whether I should contact Andy or not since it's not completely dead or anything, but this has been going on for at least a couple months now and I'm worried that it might get worse over time. What do you guys think?

Yes contact Andy, This can be an issue with the older hard-wired cords. You should get an updated nano back with the newer detachable cord.

Left the MV at the girlfriends place and enano stepped up to fill the nightcap spot.
And it sure filled that spot

I keep forgeting to turn the damn dial down from 10 to 7 after warming it up....Then I vape some and notice all herb is burnt upon stirring......D'OH!

Does anyone else find that the E-Nano power cord is far too rigid for a unit as small and light as this?
Had mine a few days now and it keeps ending up on its side due to the cables strength! Also the kinks in the cable from where its been folded in transit are a pita too, tried straightening it out but the kinks keep coming back
Anyone else had issues like this? (other than that I really like the unit btw, the flavour is amazing)

Yes, it is a pita. Used to happen to me all the time. You can do what I did. Since the outlet is nearby from where I use it, there was always extra outlet kink swaying the nano. It has almost fallen off the table a few times, though once it fell straight on its side ontop of the table and made a rather loud bang, my heart stopped for a moment right there.
what I did was wrap some of the excess wire over and around 3 or four fingers until I got to the middle where the dial is. Then I used the velcro strap to secure the wrap around, if I have excess wire on the other side of the dial I would include that. So what youre left is with a wrapped up cable and the dial positioned well enough in the middle that it wont dance around. My e nano started moving around alot less after that.
an upside to that is that I dont have to wrap the chord up when Im done, I just put my adapter followed by the nano and then The pre wrapped chord in the beige bag it came with. No fuss.
What really kept it in place though, are the e nano holders from the epic site. I ordered an aluminum one and it has pretty good weight and depth so that the e nano does move anywhere. Plus there is a place to secure the end of the chord that plugs into the unit. Ontop of that, since I use the e nano near my sink because thats where the stupid outlets are at, that area always seems to be wet and have alot of moisture all around. So it kinda puts my nano in a safe position where Im not constantly worrying if its going to get close to the wet.
I know it sucks to keep buying stuff as add ons, but I think that e nano metal base stand is almost vital. As time goes on I have notice the chord get more relaxed and the kinks straighten out.

Mine did not come with a velcro strap on the power cable, just one of those twist tie things. I had been thinking of trying a cable tie on the excess, but I'm not sure about having a big bundle of hard wire sticking out lol.....I've currently got the wire hanging over the top of a door frame in the hope it'll loosen up a bit but not too hopeful for quick results. Seriously this vape is great, but what were they thinking shipping it with this rock hard wire? It sucks!!
And yeah those holders look good, I shall have to invest in one at some point, can you post the pic?

Back by popular demand.....these are not the greatest pics. Its been a long night and morning for me, please excuse the awkward shots and dont hang me for it , but you get the idea.
Here is most of the cable wrapped around and behind the dial. That aluminum piece is the base I ordered from epic. They have wooden ones which look nice and I dont know the weight of those, but I know this one has a nice weight to it and it also has rubber boots on the other side to stand on. You can also see how the end of the plug that goes inside the nano fits snugly in this base.
Here is a birds eye view so you see how the set up looks . The base also has extra slots to fit adapters and stems.
Here is a side view.
It would be cool, if the nano ever got an upgrade of a retractable chord. Might I add if you decided on the base, you might want to get extra basket screens and gongs for your convinience. If screens get dirty or clogged or a gong breaks you can swap with ease, so you can clean at your own time and never miss a beat.

Neon Bulbs can be dimmed without any fancy electronics. Neon lights also have a higher operating temperature than LED. All around, it was a safer choice for the Nano's design.
It's important to remember, the Nano is a very simple device. Inside the base, there is a neon light and the heater lead's soldered in a parallel configuration. There is no complicated (or toxic) PCB sitting inside.

I had this issue with my original figured walnut Nano. So when I ordered my new exotic Afzelia Burl Nano, I requested it an extra 0.25 inches taller to add more mass to the Nano. The added height plus density of the wood has fixed all my issues. The cord is still stiff, but it cannot knock my Nano over.

I installed a hook on the side of my desk to take the weight of the cord. I don't have problems with the nano falling over or getting pulled off.

I agree that a stand is the only way to fly. While spending another 30 bucks hurts a bit, the Nano has such a reasonable price, and with the FC discount the whole combo only cost me a little over 200. I do sometimes find it a bit tricky to get the Nano on and off the stand, but otherwise I couldn't live without it.
The maple stand and maple Nano make a nice match, and even Cooper in the background is nicely color-coordinated.
