Does anyone know Howe long Epic usually takes before shipping? I ordered on the 22nd and the order still says Pending.
I ordered on the 13th, rec'd 3/22. It's not two day shipping. The website you ordered from isn't the greatest, a new one is almost ready. Pending is still on my account.

Has anyone removed the bottom? The wires have a bad connection in there and the light and power keeps flickering on and off.

I unscrewed the bottom two screws but it still wont budge.

Very good to know, did they email you tracking when they sent it? Also the site says you have to sign for the package, did you have to?

Umm because he told me I would have a tacking number today. Guess what, I don't have one.
Andy has an excellent reputation, well known for his integrity of product and service (isn't that partly the reason you ordered?). Knowing this should encourage you to afford the benefit of the doubt (e.g., busy people sometimes get behind schedule). Good news ...your Nano's on the way!

As flotntoke pointed out to you much earlier, this sort of thing should be handled with PMs. It is not appropriate for the public forum, and we've been pretty lenient with you about this. Please do not post about this again unless it is to say that your issues have been resolved.

I also want to point out that it's equally inappropriate to derail the thread to talk about Mr. Gweilo 420 and his repetition. There is a Report link at the bottom of every post for this. Use it or move on.

Look the only reason I am even commenting here is that there seems to be no other way to reach him. Look, you guys are obviously all pleased with how he has treated you. Thus far he has treated me very poorly. A week has passed without tracking being received. I have emailed specific questions which have been ignored. In the one response I did receive from him I could see my previous message below in which my questions were once more ignored. All of my initial enquiries were very chilled, polite and patient. Sorry but you can't simply expect his good work to be reported and his poor work to be conveniently ignored. Whatever. I'm done with this thread. Bye.

Maybe check under the other sticky feet if there are more screws in your unit. Since these are handmade, it may be possible that the unit has more screws. I am only inferring this from the idea that putting together different pieces of wood with other components may require more or less work depending on the physical properties of that piece of wood.

Your experience seems to get poor extremely fast.

I had this klingklong sound when knocking on my nano and so I had a reason to look under its skirt.

Not that I have any clue, but what I found was somewhat confusing..

where are the electronic components that might get damaged by too much V people were talking about a few pages ago. I see only the dimmer cables connected to the ceramic heater.

what does this screw do, that dismantling has no effect

why is nothing really holding the heater in its position
this way its position might vary by quite some mm

and after removing the screen from the steel tube: why is there another random piece of screen falling out, whats the snap ring doing and do I need to get those things in a specific position or just randomly put them back in?

where's this Putain game going?

No I have a lot of things to think about while not falling asleep, great

Congratulations on being an exploratory vapist like me. The dimmer circuit board is the only part I have ever heard of people having issues with. This, alongside all the electronics that got damaged from too much voltage in my experience, is inside the temperature control, accessed by two screws on the back of the dimmer.

As I said, there are very little electronics in the unit itself!

That single screw inside the unit appears to hold the wood onto the stainless steel inner assembly. The wood may not budge if you undo it because it has expanded or contracted due to environmental conditions :)

Hope this helps!

Your solution to the light flickering may not even be in there. I didn't take mine apart, but it was doing similar (probably a little worse) and the problem seemed to be in the dimmer by how it responded to moving the cord around.

But if you still want to get in there (and there wasn't a 3rd screw), try putting it in the freezer for 1/2 hour - 45 minutes. Not sure, but think the metal will contract faster than the wood. This could loosen it up a bit.

flotntoke is right, your problem is most likely with the dimmer, which is good news. I had the flickering light problem and was able to resolve it with a simple touch up to 1 of the 4 solder points inside the dimmer, which was visibly not making a complete connection and easily identifiable as the problem. If you take off the back panel of the dimmer you will see what I am talking about.

Definitely will be an issue with the dimmer if you are getting flickering. The heater/internal cables seem fine in your picture.

Make sure all wires are properly connected to their respective termination points. Perhaps get a soldering iron and re-do the cable solder points on the dimmer circuit board. Also consider getting a couple of new closed end crimp terminals the same as those connecting the dimmer cable to the heater and light bulb wires.

This will isolate all of the most likely issues causing your dimmer problem. Also carefully look at the solder points on the back of the circuit board inside the dimmer. If any seem burned or loosely connected, you will get weird behaviour from the unit like you have experienced. Especially if the variable resistor inside the dimmer is broken and/or not soldered properly.

Well, I sympathise with your self inflicted delay, and thought I should share the milky goodness once again.

All you need is an E-Nano, a good bubbler, some 316L Stainless Steel wool (Cheers to @canj00digit? ) and the QWISO reclaim from your last week's glass clean.

I'll let the clouds speak for themselves:
