Good chance the older Ti tip will work better for you. The Omni tip collects a lot of heat and shunts it off into the body; I'm not sure if this is expected to work as a thermal battery, or if it's just the side effect of heating the extra mass. In the Omni, the body is built for this, as is the Vong. However, they make the other stems really hot, including my Vortex. I don't use them in wooden stems for this reason. I tend not to use them in my older Shomnis because they're so short and they heat right up. They work better in the XLs. I would expect to have similar issues with the Vong tip, but it does heat differently so ymmv. The Omni works really nicely in the Vong or Vong i, taming its carbonesque nature and bringing flavor with big rips. Thanks, maybe that particular tip is not for me then, I guess it will be getting sold. I've tried it with a single flame as well but that just prolongs the heating cycle even further. In retrospect wish I'd tried swapping the tips over to try the old one on the mvs before I had to stop vaping temporarily. I don't think I've seen the best of the mvs but I got very comfortable using my shomni everyday. Ah well, such is life...
The Omni '21 tips are fantastic for flavor, and they can be used with other stems with care. They do take a lot of slow, building heat, and a triple torch is almost certainly going to be too fast for it, unless it's turned way down and held at a distance.
So, try the Omni '21 tip at a nice, slow heating, with the MVS probably handling the heat a little better or maybe a nice, cheap, longer glass cooling stem for leisurely flavor extraction. When you're ready for quick action, use the standard Ti tip. Hope this helps!
