The date seems to coincide with Simrell’s release, I wonder if they’ll put his new toy up on their site!
Maybe? I bet they are trying to get everyone lined up for their 4/20 sales.

From my mega pack I went in for the VonG first. Very nice first couple rips but it appears that the heat has caused my eclipsing airport to cease up. Now that it has cooled I’m eclipsing again.

I am trying to wear in the wood sleeve by turning back and forth frequently when in use. Not sure if this will work but mine hasnt stuck yet and i live in a very high humidity area. Over the past 4 days it has gotten a little tighter, which is fine because it was slightly loose when i got it. I am storing the Vong with the airport completly open over night in case it swells up, the airport will be useable still.

George recommended putting the Vong stem in a container with rice. I would recommend a desiccant pack if you have them to take the moister from the wood.

I find that after I press down the bump it isn't "captive" at all anymore. It just behaves like a regular cap you can pinch/squeeze to whatever grip you want.
so you basically remove the captivation indents and make it regular, slightly oval.

i really want to like the captive cap, i want it to be an actual improvement, as round as possible for proper airflow but without the vertical play.
just adjusting indents position/shape a little can achieve this i imagine.
and i like tinkering too but i believe dynavap can do it better so i'm trying to get them to fix it by way of feedback...

It ends up feeling like the current "non captive" caps Dynavap sells for $20. A few nights ago in a stream George confirmed the current captive and non captive are the same size. I'm just trying to get rid of the bumps.

I'm not really interested in tinkering, I just felt like I was getting stuck with captive caps I was avoiding using. Personally i don't like them. I prefer the older tighter fitting caps.

Does George’s statement “current”, indicate that there was differences between the two type caps, previous to this years release?

He was essentially saying he didn't see the problem with the captive cap- both of current captive and non captive caps are the same size and should perform similarly.

I'm not sure he was indicating anything about past sizes.

Backyard tryouts. ‘21 Omni is teaming well with the HS. 46FE3070-B972-490A-B36E-3E981116A6E8.jpeg
Edit: ergonomics on the VonG are very nice. The balance point is very pleasing. The finger indentations make it very easy to feather the airport and when pinched tightly between my fingers is very reminiscent of a blunt.

If you're interested. Some weights. All units in grams.

Complete devices: (cap, tip, stem with mouthpiece if applicable and all orings)
2021 M 18.689
2021 Vong 18.654
2021 Omni 17.119
2020 M 19.052
2019 M 19.889

Now for just some parts...

Tips with native CCDs:
2019 M 5.263
2020 M 6.093
2021 M 5.910
2020 Ti 3.192
2020 7fin Ti 3.367
2021 Vong 3.755
2021 Omni 4.149

Condenser with orings and mouthpiece if applicable
Standard steel (M) 1.973
Standard Ti (Vong) 1.323
Ti XL Spinning mouthpiece 4.627
2020 Omni 6.001
2021 Omni 6.273

Caps*
Regular 0.792
Captive 0.824
Low temp 0.823

*This is an average of several of each type. For example the range for 8 captive caps was from 0.768 to 0.872

I'll leave the endless debate over what all these numbers mean to someone with a better grasp of thermodynamics. I just know that big ol' fat '21 Omni tip is a beast!

And, sorry if this is old news... These parts are completely lego style interchangeable. I'm running a' 20 Omni condenser through my '21 Vong with the new Omni tip and having a blast. I put the new Omni condenser in the '21 M with a' 19 steel tip. Yes, fully extended Omni with a SS tip rocks.

Thank God I'm retired and hove nowhere to be for like... a few weeks.

Remaids’me of France during the early 90’s?
The coffee shop in Holland was the place to be across the pond from the USA.
1 gram of white widow and a pack of paper’s is all the waiter had?
In Europe it was the safest place legally 2-B CIVILIZED?
Image a “M” at the time?

Do you prefer to use half bowl, and then fill it more often but vaping "fresher" weed, or the whole bowl?

For example, if you are "in the mood for 0.2g" would you prefer to fill two full bowls or four half bowls?

For the "stupid questions" series 🥴

I like using the half pack setting as it extracts much more evenly, but I barely use it because the screen always gets pushed in eventually; giving me a throat full of ground buddha.

That's exactly why I have two Ti Tips with their glass stems : one firmly and definitely set for half bowls, the other for full dose.
BTW, I find my AVB to be fairly even in my VapCaps, even with full bowl.

can you extract in 1 hit with the new omni tip?
can someone compare to the 4th gen tip?
The new Omni tip runs cooler than the gen 4 7&5 fin tips so no 1 hit extraction unless you use a miniscule amount.
Full bowl + torch - 3-5 cycles for full extraction.
Full bowl + IH - 5-6 cycles + stirring for full extraction using PSM.
I'm really impressed with the new Omni overall especially the new condenser/mouthpiece that makes the need for a Simrell redundant.

@notams Big thanks for all your time, patience and dedication in assembling this extensive data base. Definitely answers a lot of questions for me as to why certain tips extract the way they do. Looks likely that when the VonG finally arrives it's going to be well worth the wait.
