"A man with no vices is a man with no virtues"
my 5ft and 6.5ft power cable extenders came in, they increased caldron click by a whopping .5 sec.... even piggy backing them back to back, not sure how that one user doubled his click time with the 5ft cable.
Sorry Thunder ... Dont get it ... at first mine only went from approx 4 to approx 5 sec with the 5' and original OEM in series.... somehow it seemed to "settle in" (??) at around 7 which is where I'm at ... I'll check with my added 10' which arrives tomorrow ... maybe has something to do with the way the cable runs ?... mines dangling behind my stereo system rack ..

... where this all started

A funny thing happened from China, to buyer? (Notice QC card) LOL

Noice. Nice packaging, tho....

Is warranty voided, if factory neglected to glue top on, before packaging; & (wrong) magnet, to boot, as well.

It said "body", didn't say anything about the head being attached.

Curious if your 10ft cord does anything.

Now that @Pipes uses the silicone disc in the glass tube. Is there any adjustment that can be done by adding another disc on top to slow heat up time?

Haha, if the top was not glued down, shouldn't you be double checking everything else for workmanship, interesting for their 2 days of qc in vegas lol

Yes ... a silicone insert would do the trick to slow down the click but was reported to lead to uneven heating on the material ...

And yeah ... I'm curious too what adding the extra 10' will do ... with the way 2020 has been going it'll probably revert back to the 3-4 sec I started with ... :ugh:

I did. The glass cylinder fell out....

LOL. Next time TD gets all jacked about a new product, I’ll simply ignore him. So, there.

As mentioned previously, RE: the soldering job, even I could solder nicer.
I did add some felt pads underneath. Should be factory installed.
Heavy enuf that it would KO someone beaned with it. Not a portable IMO, YMMV

Having undergone this tour de force, I still like @Pipes creations.
The Cauldron is not only smaller, it is way lighter, & tank built.

Meanwhile, I think I’ll go back to playing with my LEGO VC.
VapCap, on.

I don't understand adding something to the switch to increase heat up time to click in ih = that is recipe for uneven heatup of material

I want the exact opposite, I want to lower the activation switch, have the entire cap go lower where the last heating coil wind is as far away as the clicker can be. This simulates heating with torch on bottom of cap imo

also I guess I missed the click last night but combusted and burnt the crap outta my omni through the ih waiting for the 2nd click, now my prized showoff piece is all ugly/charred :whoa:

That is always good advice  Then again, you've never really seen me jacked about a product ...yet.

I do like it though. Mine still perform better only in that I can adjust them. However, it is a new commercial product and I think it is a welcome addition. Really looking forward to what they propose for battery exchanges. I suspect that putting the whole thing in an oven will release all the components.

Love to see some of those workmanship images @stark1 . How else will people know?

Ya know, I have a couple of those (the wand, not the Dremel) that have hairline cracks at the tip end and one has a chip so I have stopped using them. I would love to find someone locally who could cut an inch or so off the end and I could anneal them and use them again. I don't know any glass workers. Who would be best equipped to do something like that? What kind of vendor? I guess all I would really need is a glass cutter and a pliers, but I don't have a glass cutter...

Added: I was the last poster so this has to go here...

I got tired of trying to clean the CCD. Torched it clean!
Not looking for trouble :ninja: but I think this is how they shrink...

DDave should be able to take care of you?

Oh man I the reason I got this cause I thought it was made in the US and components will be top notch.... Well I hope mine arrives in one piece and not a DIY product... 😅

Just a second to remind myself why I love a vapcap.

Relaxing on the front porch this late evening. A beautiful summer night where you can sit out in the peace and quiet. A vapcap filled with some ground hash plant (such a sweet resinous flavor), and my PSM sitting on the armrest. Blowing clouds into the light of a citronella candle.

To quote a great poster, "very civilized"

Came to read about grinders; fucked combustion
I haven’t been around FC for a couple years. I assume this thread covers all DynaVap products. I know this thread moves faster than I can, so I probably won’t even try to keep up with it after I post.

Anyway, after I ran over my OG VapCap with my power chair a couple weeks ago, I suddenly felt desperate to have another one. So I ordered an OmniVap right away.

I also made a couple videos right away. Here they are. They’re not supposed to be tutorials or anything, but there’s probably something useful to just about everyone.

Thanks for the videos.
Glad your appetite is back!
It’s funny. Five years ago, when I fucked combustion, I had no interest in bag vapes. I guess they just kind of seemed goofy to me.

Then when scumbag cops stole all my 420 stuff in an illegal search of my home, hours after snapping my femur, I did a 180. I bought an Herbalizer and started appreciating bag vaping.

Several months later I bought a Volcano, and I didn’t really need anything else anymore. Once experienced with bag vapes, direct draw vapes became almost useless to me.

I still consider bag vapes the most efficient way to vape; especially the Volcano. And I’d love to explain my philosophy, but that would take a lot of words.

However, now there’s one direct draw vape I consider a peer to the Volcano: my OmniVap (and certainly every other DynaVap product).

Direct draw vapes almost always create too much work for me. I’ve been truly vaked ONCE. It was when I put a gram of weed atop my Volcano and ran it on 9. (One easy-valve bag.)

I think my inability to get baked stems mostly from the fact that I’ve been in unbearable pain (arachnoiditis) since long before I fucked combustion. When you’re always in this much pain, getting high is almost impossible.

Many of you have probably already seen this, but here’s a video I made a few years ago with my OG VapCap.

There are one or two things I might like to change about this video, but it’s still one of my favorites of the 100 videos I’ve made.

To anyone who may be curious about where I’ve been the last couple years, this video may help you understand. I just made it yesterday, and I love it; even though it’s really boring for a couple minutes (in the middle). I kept it that way because the unedited clip almost seems as if my “dance” was choreographed.

Hi guys!
An honest question here.
I got my 2019 PhantoM for 1+ years now (prior using Newvape Showerhead) and it kinda replaced my SH daily use. I still use it sometimes.
I decided to get the 2020 M a couple of months ago, but ended up selling it as I wasn t using it at all, because i didn t like it.
The honest question is: will the switch / upgrade from a PhantoM to a Simrell Vortex be noticable in terms of vapor quality or will it be kinda the same?
I still plan on buying a Vortex somewhere in the future, because wood stems aren t my type and i don t like the omni either.
So it s kinda the only option I have. I am not saying it s a bad option, just the only one xD
Thanks and vape on !!

Ok ....the 10 foot cable came in ... put it in series with the OEM cable + my five foot and .... <drumroll please> .... 12 seconds ... should help to eliminate my combustion problem with going a little past the click ... that's it ....I'm happy ....I'm done ...

Ps ... my wife got me this cool (or should I say hot) Caldron decal to help spice things up a bit ...
