It would be nice to have an alternative for the stainless steel insert instead of cutting up the volcano ez valve. We would be paying for a bunch of things we don't need like the funnel, brush, etc.

Did you use the screen from the ez valve kit? Did you cut the screen to fit into the hole of the stem?
You can use any SS tubing as long as it fits. I used an Arizer dome screen to go over the SS. I used the EZ valve because I had one extra. You can also use an EVO elb over the bulb instead of SS tubing. Just make sure you can fit the DynaVap into the SS tubing if you use SS tubing. The DynaVap tip fits perfectly into the SS EZ valve. The glass by itself doesn't create a seal like the SS tubing does. https://www.amazon.com/CynKen-Stain...nless+teel+tubing&qid=1574093226&sr=8-3-spell

Filled with smoke a fire somehow started in a closet of random unused things. Guess it coulda been anything laptop, old cell phones ,older portables, who knows.
I'm so sorry to hear about this traumatic event. Thank you for posting about this and thank heavens your family is safe and unharmed. So many seemingly innocuous household items can be potential fire hazards.

One day while using my laptop I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. A tiny flame had developed at the corner hinge of the laptop. I put it out immediately. After starting it up again the screen would only display half a page, so the laptop was toast. But the incident was an eye opener for me. Batteries CAN fail and randomly cause fires.

Thank goodness for battery free vapes such as our beloved Vapcaps!

Yes it's the Z dual flame Vertigo torch that came with my Omni Kit. It has failed twice already, I'll give them an email for sure if it happens again.

The cap does rattle just a little bit. I thought this was normal due to the disks? I did find some strands of bud inside the top cap before but they always just fall right out with a q tip swab. I've only noticed a little bud inside the cap when I combusted the first time.. so it just happened once. I do inspect the cap with every new hit now since I almost stir after ever hit anyhow.

I did a quick search on the cup you're speaking of and I got back a portable vaporizer shaped like a fountain drink! haha! Please do post a link of it if you can. I can usually tell how viable the load is after a quick turn with my honeybun skillet tool and uncovering the bottom but there have bee a few times where I was surprised to still see a little light brown under there and found myself sucking it back in the tip as If I was doing a line of coke! :ko:

Sounds interesting, please do post a link.

@Socks And Sandals

ok...

Do this, for me...

1st, fill your tip with ground bud (not TOO fine) USING THE STRAW METHOD.

Be observant of the QUALITY and CONDITION of your bud as well!

Ironically if it's TOO wet or moist it will HINDER your Vapor production but if it's TOO DRY then there's NO moisture to vape so you have to find that perfect BALANCE.

But THESE factors make EVERY bit as much of a DIFFERENCE as the condenser, the tip, where you heat the Cap, Etc!

Make sure that the carb hole is COVERED so that your ONLY airflow is what's drawing through the tip.

Suck the bud up in there moving the tip around as you go a little.
DON'T tamp it down afterwards.
That is LITERALLY ALL that you should have loaded in your tip!

You mentioned that you're stirring after practically every hit. I think you're probably packing your tip too tight when you load.

2nd, when you are ready to heat that cap, use whatever torch you will and put the outer Aura of the blue flame to about the "N" on the dynavap logo on your cap. Should be roughly Center.

Now turn that stem in circles or spin it back and forth as long as you KEEP that cap MOVING .

DO NOT let the heat from that flame SETTLE on one spot for TOO long or you'll get hot spots and risk combusting.

This is going to be controversial, but....
fuck the click.

As you heat the cap, TIME-IT!

If you are heating stainless steel, count 8 seconds and take away that heat no matter what. If your heating the titanium tip, count off 6 and take that heat away no matter what click or no click. If you are not getting enough vapor at either of those then increase your time by 1 second. Do not change the position of where you are heating that cap and do not let that cap stop moving!

You shouldn't need to adjust the timing down but only you can decide that as per your results. But that will likely be the perfect time for each tip or you may need to take it up one more second to get the bigger clouds.

Either way, if this improves things then the problem was ultimately something with your Technique. If this makes no difference at all then it could very well be a problem with your cap or something similar.

Good luck man! I know how frustrating it can be trying to find The Sweet Spot on a device you feel you should know backwards and forwards... much less, one you're still trying to learn about.

Happy Vaping! :leaf:

Used my omni exclusivly as a daily driver for 3 years, only time I ever combusted was outdoors in wind.

I have 2 caps one with one click and the other 2 clicks. The 1 clicker seems to give fatter hits somehow.

Yesterday randomly I respected the click and combusted it was so weird.

Only thing I can think of is I was too high and imagined the click but in reality i must have re-heated b4 cool down click.

From videos I see I think I'm one of a few who let the cap cool down completely before reheating. I find I get fuller hits this way that aren't too hot. I blow on the tip for 10 secs and usually goes back to cool within 20secs ready for the next hit with a titanium tip.

Vortex I really want one but like to set it and forget it so dream of an omni vortex that's the dream.

I sold every vape I own the best being Mighty, solo 2, sb jnr & splinter, nothing tastes and hits like a dynavap and that do is only because bowl is bigger.

I now come to the conclusion those times I get consumed by VAS and it takes over my mind is because the buds not getting me high enough so I think maybe I need another vape because when I get good bud the dyna gets me so high I'm satisfied so now I know it's not the vape it's the bud that causes me to get VAS.

Dear Santa I been a good boy this year all I want for xmas in a omni vortex and a titanium tip with a bigger bowl and I'm set for life.

I was an Omni XL or carbless glass stem user since fall of '17. I thought I really disliked air inlets on the vapcap.

Then I got a Vortex-I've not touched my vapcap stems since-and don't expect to either. And I now have a plain Ti Vortex for out and about (it pairs so well with my Silo XL) and a custom Blackwood Vortex I'm using right now for my daily dose of CBD flower.

The carb is easy to find, and useful. But hit Austyn up, maybe he'll make you a carbless vortex.

I'm noticing a difference between my rosiuM and my omnivap/shadow m/2017 M in performance, when I heat the rosium it clicks around 4 seconds earlier than the others, I hit it and get vapor but not the thickness and fullness I get from my other Ms, I also noticed it cools down pretty quick, on every hit when it has cooled down the first click is pretty loud, but the second click comes 6 or 7 seconds later, from my past experience with my other Vapcaps, most of the the cooldown clicks usually come one after the other within a few seconds, I just put my Omnivap cap on my rosiuM and it vaped considerably better, wanted to put this out there to see if anybody else has noticed this or it's just me :uhoh:
