Yes it's the Z dual flame Vertigo torch that came with my Omni Kit. It has failed twice already, I'll give them an email for sure if it happens again.
The cap does rattle just a little bit. I thought this was normal due to the disks? I did find some strands of bud inside the top cap before but they always just fall right out with a q tip swab. I've only noticed a little bud inside the cap when I combusted the first time.. so it just happened once. I do inspect the cap with every new hit now since I almost stir after ever hit anyhow.
I did a quick search on the cup you're speaking of and I got back a portable vaporizer shaped like a fountain drink! haha! Please do post a link of it if you can. I can usually tell how viable the load is after a quick turn with my honeybun skillet tool and uncovering the bottom but there have bee a few times where I was surprised to still see a little light brown under there and found myself sucking it back in the tip as If I was doing a line of coke!
Sounds interesting, please do post a link.
@Socks And Sandals
ok...
Do this, for me...
1st, fill your tip with ground bud (not TOO fine) USING THE STRAW METHOD.
Be observant of the QUALITY and CONDITION of your bud as well!
Ironically if it's TOO wet or moist it will HINDER your Vapor production but if it's TOO DRY then there's NO moisture to vape so you have to find that perfect BALANCE.
But THESE factors make EVERY bit as much of a DIFFERENCE as the condenser, the tip, where you heat the Cap, Etc!
Make sure that the carb hole is COVERED so that your ONLY airflow is what's drawing through the tip.
Suck the bud up in there moving the tip around as you go a little.
DON'T tamp it down afterwards.
That is LITERALLY ALL that you should have loaded in your tip!
You mentioned that you're stirring after practically every hit. I think you're probably packing your tip too tight when you load.
2nd, when you are ready to heat that cap, use whatever torch you will and put the outer Aura of the blue flame to about the "N" on the dynavap logo on your cap. Should be roughly Center.
Now turn that stem in circles or spin it back and forth as long as you KEEP that cap MOVING .
DO NOT let the heat from that flame SETTLE on one spot for TOO long or you'll get hot spots and risk combusting.
This is going to be controversial, but....
fuck the click.
As you heat the cap, TIME-IT!
If you are heating stainless steel, count 8 seconds and take away that heat no matter what. If your heating the titanium tip, count off 6 and take that heat away no matter what click or no click. If you are not getting enough vapor at either of those then increase your time by 1 second. Do not change the position of where you are heating that cap and do not let that cap stop moving!
You shouldn't need to adjust the timing down but only you can decide that as per your results. But that will likely be the perfect time for each tip or you may need to take it up one more second to get the bigger clouds.
Either way, if this improves things then the problem was ultimately something with your Technique. If this makes no difference at all then it could very well be a problem with your cap or something similar.
Good luck man! I know how frustrating it can be trying to find The Sweet Spot on a device you feel you should know backwards and forwards... much less, one you're still trying to learn about.
Happy Vaping!
