I'm following your journey thru the DV adventure because it's a lot like my own. I haven't vaped in a couple of days but may just do that later today before the pre-game comes on. Need to grind up some Good Medicine. I'm also using my sweet little bubbler. I can't afford to have any harsh vapes at all. I'm hoping I can eventually learn how to get just really really small vapor hits.

Yes bud PM @Pipes to get on the list.

I'd recommend the Skeletor unit if you are happy to find an enclosure for it yourself.

I suspect @Pipes will be able to push those out quicker as they are a prerequisite for the other modules and require less time to build.

If you don't mind waiting and don't want to Diy a case then I think the Portside is the best unit to go for.

The Jarhead II looks awesome too and is a more economical unit if you don't mind being tethered.

Sounds like you're definitely in right part of flame. When I use a triple jet in triangle config (instead of jets being inline) I find best heating with 2 jets hitting out towards end of cap, and 3rd jet lined up dead center and away from end of cap. Very simple diagram with blue dots as jets.

Was that when using a SS or Ti tip?

I think you are spot on for where you want to be. I'd say at this point you are no longer learning to use the VapCap but fine tuning it to your specific requirements.

I'm a body buzz kinda guy so stick to indicas and higher temps. However most folk seem to prefer the less lazy high and avoid the higher temps for health reasons.

Sativas or S. hybrids all the way for me baby!

Glad it's working for you, all my material lately has been very well cured so I haven't run into issues with moist material but thanks for the heads up.

Well, I just picked up 62% brovedas so this was moist. I didn't get around to taking it out earlier to let it dry out for a couple of days or even use @flotntoke's suggestion of putting it in the car for a short time to dry it out. But, because it is moist, got a nice coarse airy/fluffy grind. And, despite the moisture, it vaped very well & was flavorful.

I don't like harsh vape either. Take a shot at what GreenHopper & flotntoke suggested. Worth a try.

I just tried rotating the lighter to the triangle position you suggested, along with @GreenHopper 's flame-to-cap positioning & it worked great. Light vapor on every hit (how I like it); normal, slow ABV color change. OK, this definitely betters my technique. But, Greenhopper, I didn't drop the cap as low/deep into the lighter blue region as you, rather I dropped it, from just above the lighter blue area, into the outer extreme of the lighter blue. I roll on the slower side so if the intensity is farther away I'm assured not to roast. And I even used your technique for packing the tip...

Just a quick comment on grinding, grind consistency, etc......My first grinder was a Cosmic 4 pic med., in Rasta colors of course, then the standard S&B 2 piece acrylics, then a Space Case 2 piece. Finally, a Santa Cruz Shredder 4 piece large.......quest over..........GAS defeated. No matter the moisturge content, it just works. Wet stuff grinds up fluffy and settles very well over the span of week (which is my grinding schedule). Dry stuff stays relatively intact, and if it spends a few days in one of my Boveda packs, it behaves very well. Bottom line for me is to store, grind and consume my flower very consistently..........keeps the variables down, helps me to stay medicated every day, all day (situational context always applies) on two grams a week. FUCK COMBUSTION!!!

I've noticed a few people have commended on the new Omni Ti stems getting hotter. May be the new 5 fin tip doesn't dissipate the heat quite as quickly as the Gen 4 7 fin tip what I can say for sure is there are different body/stem material that can be used which will insulate far better than metal

I have no idea if the new 5-fin tip makes the Ti Omni even hotter but the old 7-fin tip that I have gets it quite hot. Hotter than the M for sure. Wrapping the body with thin rope solved this completely for me.
Another solution would be a woody body or a Nanavong body for more durability and flexibility but I'm too poor for these now...

@WarpaintFree, haven't posted since 7/30. So how are you fairing with the Omni now. Would very much like to hear your current assessment.

I'm going to try each of the other 2 caps I have on hand; maybe the cap that shipped with my Omni is defective.

When you turn the mouthpiece of your Omni counter-clockwise, as to reduce the airflow from the inlet hole, does your MP move away from the body? Mine does; the 2 o-rings holding the MP in place within the body do not have much grip. The single o-ring holding the condenser in place has better grip. Just the friction of the MP turning in my palm will cause this to happen.

Obviously the device isn't changing the efficacy of the material... obviously. The combination of smaller load size and quite clearly a higher temperature inside the tip seems to cause the effects to come on much faster (seconds vs. minutes) and more intensely, while the effects seem to last about half as long before subsiding.

I haven't used my omni yet, but if I turn the mp counter-clockwise 2 whole revolutions, the mp will completely separate from the body. Between 1 & 2 revs the mp seating is loose. I spun it in both hands in both directions & spinning doesn't loosen the mp for me, but I can see how the mp resting a certain way against your palm could cause it. You may want to contact Dynavap to discuss this.

While your using a smaller load, I agree with @SloJimFizz, "The Ti Tip is less forgiving then the SS M tip. My only suggestion is hold the cap farther from the flame and try and get to the click slower" -- assumably to reduce the intensity of the heat on the weed in the bowl.

While I do understand the more intense effect of smaller load & higher temp., can't comprehend why the effects wouldn't last as long. That's odd.

Anyway, would love to get an update.

I did, if you are talking about adding grooves to the tip. Worth the £3 for the needle file and only took about 20mins (I went slow and careful).

I have no high heat transferring down the Ti body of my Omni. Mine is not an XL so when I spin it
I'm touching closer to the tip and it may get warm up there but past the airport down towards the mouthpiece does not get too hot to hold or put in the lips. Well, except there was this one time I was heating my mouthpiece waiting for the click.
I would love to see them make a Titanium TONG for water play.

I still prefer using my Omni with a piece of silicone tubing instead than with WonG stems to be able to set the perfect draw resistance. A metal on glass body allowing the Omni to keep its adjustable air flow feature would be awesome.

The dynastash.......how much did it improve your experience. Much of my vaping will be on the go and not at home besides nights and weekends from September till April.

I use mine almost daily, but I'm getting ready to modify it. I've got one small torch that will fit inside soon. I found I don't like keeping herb in there, it tends to create inconsistent loads for me.

I adopted a strategy close to @GreenHopper 's, I load right out of the grinder. Scoop, spin, tamp, enjoy!

I've got both a standard and XL, love them both!

For who asked about the 5 fin vs 7 fin, there's a difference. Started with an Omni, with the 7 fin, added a ton after and have been playing with them since.....

7 fin definitely cools and heats a little quicker. And there is a HUGE difference between SS and Ti (any) with induction heating. My Portside didn't like the SS tip at all.

Maybe it was a manufacturing mishap, maybe I'm still missing it..... Should a Ti tip fit a Nonavong with a standard condenser? Mine fall right off but the SS tip sits firm?

Hello everyone, i just got my first vaporizer and start vaping and lurking in this forum from June 2017, in the passed month, i think vaping with electric device is so discreet and save me a lot material when compare to combustion method, i love it so much, even completely change my smoking habit. But after i daily watching this forum, i found that i am not satisfy with power charging part. i finally decided to order a vapcap M from Dynavap to give it a try for the flame base vaporizer (I also ordered vaponic from Spain at the same time). I ordered the M and 3 replacement CCD(which i ordered wrong Ti CCD cost $10) and the famous degummed hemp fiber on 3 Aug 2017, and it delivered to me on 10 Aug 2017 from USA to Hong Kong. Its pretty fast as i expected. I have read the best of this thread, and practiced few time dry run, and i still got completely combusted at the first try, but then , i was shocked by the second try, its completely game change for me. the dosing and the effect is Unparalleled. Now i think using any method other than vapcap is a waste. Love all people here^^ PEACE

P.S. Now i am super regret that i didnt ordered the dynastash with my first purchase. The international shipping to HK is so expensive, i gonna introduce some friend to order again.

its really only micro dosing like 0.01g a bowl and i got 3-5 massive hit with a triple jet torch, i stop fire immediately once i heard the click. Now i am super enjoy with this little device, i cant leave it with my hand, and i vape more and more due to i enjoy the whole process so much. damn.

Yep Yep. I feel ya. Same same. Sucks sucks. I periodically consider moving to a legal state but I really can't do that until I retire, and I don't see myself ever being able to retire.
At least my guy gets top shelf, but I am completely dependent on his choice.

I HAVE turned him on to VapCaps, tho, and they are slowly taking over his vape stable. And I gave him a Satchmo when Aldo double shipped an order when we thought it was lost, so at least I am a "valued customer". That occasionally gets me a discount. But at one strain at a time I often get bored with it before I run out.
