what is the best way to vape dry sift with the vapcap?

I'm not what you would call high tec, but I just dump a tiny bit on a bed of flower. I always use a hemp filter sandwiched between two screens to prevent inhaling tiny particles and to cool the vapor, even though it is cool enough anyhow.

You don't have to go crazy but a second or two past the click will take care of you and your sift nicely! :)

Finally recieved my lovely purple pouch in the mail this week! This might be a long post as I tend to ramble when I get enthused about things .. But I'll try to keep it short and focus on my impressions since there's already +400 pages of detailed glowing reviews!

My first impression on unboxing my Burl OmniVong was; "That's all?".. in a good way! I couldn't believe how small and light it felt; could practically tuck this thing behind my ear! (in fact I just did) Yet at the same time the wooden body adds a solid, cool density that perfectly foreshadowed the premium vapour that was to come.

I didn't have any issues with the first use of my Omni. Dynavap included printed instructions which I followed; had me blowing tasty clouds in a few minutes. I found it easy to get tasty low temp hits or cough inducing clouds in my first sessions; there didn't seem to be any finicky tricks to getting good results.

After experimenting with the carb hole and variable mouth piece I dialed in my preferred draw in my first night of use, wasn't difficult for me at all. I didn't put much thought into how I applied the torch but it seems I was using the same method George recommended in the video above, so that's a plus! I think you could probably get good results no matter how you apply the heat as long as you respect the click and pay attention to your draw speed though.

This VapCap is a seriously powerful piece of engineering. It has everything I like about a product. Not just vapes, I mean products in general. It's durable, efficient, aesthetically pleasing, modular, and constantly being improved upon. It feels much more like a vaping tool than a new toy to me. Many vapes seem to end up feeling toyish to me after the honeymoon wears off, and they can often end up actually being less useful by trying to add unnecessary extra "features". The VapCap does away with any gimmicks or marketing "features", goes straight for effect. I definitely feel if you're a dedicated vaper you should have something like this in your arsenal.

I also absolutely love the transparency in the design. Each part can be individually replaced and has an explanation posted by the developer for why it was designed that way.. This is the type of attitude I have typically only encountered in the maker/3D printing community; it is a true breath of fresh air to feel that positive forward thinking attitude coming from a company when purchasing a new product.

Here she is with the Burl Dynastash I got to house her

uIdmvQy.jpg

The stash has lots of neat little natural cracks all over it. Personally I really dig it but my one buddy did comment that he thought it would have looked better without the cracks. BUT, you can't really tell from the pic, but around those cracks the Stash has this really cool raised and warped texture from the Burlyness; feels fantastic. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

The back side even has a little hole in it near the bottom! At first I was kind of bummed about it since it does go right through the stash. But if you look inside the chamber it lets a little light into the Vap garage so you can see the wood inside.. man it's cool. Can't really get a good pic of it but I'm just fine with the hole because of that feature. Also makes it more unique.. won't ever be another one EXACTLY like mine.

Just a close up of that sexy Burl body..

This is how I prefer to use my OmniVong. I don't feel any need for a hemp filter when using it through water, and watching the thick vapour pour into the glass is very satisfying.. Something about it all coming from that little stick just seems even more impressive.

One last pic of my entire christmas haul; cuz I finally figured out how to post them today :haw:

Hopefully I didn't breach any etiquette by making this page eating post or including other vap pics... I know you can embed the images in different ways, but I prefer being able to see them in people's comments so that's how I included them in mine. If I could improve please let me know as this is my first ever forum post with pictures :whoa:

Anyway.. I'm off to order a full Ti Omni. I don't think my life will be complete until I get one with a custom engraved cap like the rest of you cool kids..

I would like my burl stash finish more if it were sanded smoother. I dig the waviness and even the cracks and gaps. @Prolusio does the hole go through where you park your vc, or where you put the goods? I would be more bummed personally about the second myself. That's a nice family photo, man!

The more I'm thinking, I should have splurged a little more for a vong body with a mouthpiece. Oh well, easy upgrade. :)

One thing I noticed quickly was that my logos on the wooden stem and burl stash are very faint. I don't mind it at all, but some look very deep and even dark. It's kinda cool, really. I haven't touched another vape yet, even when I had a log vape out for my mom to use I still used my little woodie. Guess that's about a week...man that doesn't seem long, but this thing has some miles on it! Hahahaha My triple torch is having lighting issues, but the VC is so simple and just keeps truckin'

EDIT: I've considered smoothing down my stash myself, but I don't know a second thing about making wood smooth. I assume I could get the pretty little thing a little more shiny, I'll just have to look up how.

Off-topic but convenient:

For those people that chose to put picture urls instead of embedding them, with imagus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/imagus/

You can simply hover over the link to show the picture without having to leave the page. Quite useful as some people do this.

On-topic:

Damn that VonG and dynastash are really nice. I agree that the "imperfections" of the wood really give it a nice character.

@Diggy Smalls the hole goes right through the stash where I park the VC and it doesn't compromise the structural integrity, so it's not a big deal to me. It doesn't seem to let any extra odour through which is what I was most worried about. If anything I figure it'll just help keep the cap a little cooler if I choose to store it quickly.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! That Burly stash is very cool and definitely unique. Butter her up and give her a buff and even your buddy won't be able to peel his eyes away. That is one beautiful stash.

It's great to live vicariously through someone else's discovery of the Vapcap magic. The dawning awareness that, yeah, THIS IS how to vaporize. The engineering is a marvel. I never get tired of looking at it. It is just simply beautifully designed. As you say, the Vapcap is not a kids toy, rather it is a device for discerning adults.

I AM AN ADULT!

@banana_republic get yourself one of these and take it too pieces

They fit inside the VC bodies and will help you get the condenser X rings in place.
The new tips and O rings need a push to get it in place, and a gentle wiggle from side to side to get them out.
I've been using my wax/oil wood finish as a lube when putting the tip back in the wood the tiniest of smears. I've found if you keep it all in line rather than wiggle, give it a firm straight push it will go in no bother and you can feel as each O ring goes past the edge of the wood.
May not work for everyone and if it's still a problem then a lite sand with a fine grit, perhaps adding a small chamfer, just take the edge off, before trying to ream out the inner surface.

Hey, thanks a million @phattpiggie !! I used some "wax wood finish" I had laying around, sent from Cookie and upposed to be used in the Wychwood log.... It helped for sure with the orings/condenser/Ti tip issue/ It looks likeit fits perfectly now on both the Tiwoody and Vong bodies. You advce was absolutely helpful!

But, I insisted on willing to adjust the Ti woody bowl size, and tried once more to move the CCD screen, and it looks like I messed it all up :(
It looks so easy on the video when George is doing it, but in reality I now believe that this is something we should not mess up with.... Is there any fix for a screen like this? Should I considere ordering some replacement screens?

I probably need to act fast, as my order from BF is still not complete, and maybe I can add some spare CCD screens, if needed...

@VapCap can you confirm I can add some items to my order that has not yet been completed and shipped? Also, can you confirm that the Tiwoody I ordered from BF and was shipped from your side on Dec 27 has the new feature "Adjust a bowl" Ti tip? It looks so easy when you do it on your video, and on my side that was quite troublesome....

Thanks a lot, cheers guys!!

Yesterday my Black Friday order finally arrived.
There were some problems with the shipment, the package went to Brazil by accident and then the tracking said "incorrect address" and that the package will be returned to sender.
Matt took care of it and went to the post office and had a phone call and it seems that there was an error with the scancode.
Then last week he sent me another package with my order so that I don´t have to wait until the other one is returned to them, thanks for that.

My order was an Omnivap Ti, hemp, quarter torch, additional screen and o-rings.
When I opened the package I was surprised how small the Omnivap is.
First thing I did was to remove the glass body and attach the Ti body, was very easy.
Then I made a filter from the hemp between two screens just as I read in this thread and was surprised again how small the remaining size of the bowl then was.
Immediately I put some herb in the bowl that was left in my grinder and did a testrun.
I would have thought the vapor will be hot and harsh because the Omni is that small and there is nothing to cool the vapor.
But I was surprised a third time, the vapor tasted very good and was not harsh at all, it was really smooth.
From that little bowl I got 3 long hits with cloudly vapor, one hit per heating cycle.
The ABV was also very evenly extracted, no combustion at all.
I did not even think about what I am doing when I fired up the Omni and it worked absolutely fantastic, in my opinion a foolproof device.
All in all I can say I am really impressed by the Omni and just as many others here I can only vouch for the customer service.
Matt did an outstanding job taking care of my order with the shipment issues and stuff.

Now I will enjoy my new friend a bit and already think about my next order.

I had issues with my triple flame. I bent the little ignition wire near the jets down and out and it seemed to help. Also you need to let all the butane out before you refill.

I played around with mine thanks to your suggestion. It turns out, it was down far enough, but it needed a slight bend toward the middle flame hole. I'm sure that's not what it's called. Anyway, it fires up perfectly each time now! :) Thank you, @snamuh

FC community is awesome. No diggy.

Hello Dynavap Enthusiasts!
My name is Nick, and I'm the project leader for the new Dynavap.com website. I'm sure many of you have noticed that the site is currently down, and I'd like to apologize for any inconveniences that has caused.
Currently, we're working on migrating the site to a new host, and unfortunately the site will be unavailable for another couple hours.
Just to ease any concerns: no data has been lost, and nothing has been compromised; but rather we're moving dynavap.com to another hosting company because of the future needs for the ecommerce website.
If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask here or contact me directly at: nick.stuhr@webandapp.io
Thanks so much,
Nick

i had that problem too... my screen actually came not fully inserted and was a little bent up. i just flattened it with my fingers. i bent it up a little trying to change placement with it to, and decided just not to mess with it... same with changing the body configuration.... looks easy but you're likely to be fiddling with it for 15 minutes when you just want to get stoned and you'll break something out of impatience/ignorance.
