@Squiby you've made my nite, many thanks second place, today :)

Tomorrow you may make first place! :brow:

When those Blackwood Telescopic Twists are ready, I know what my new favorite will be...

I know from your previous posts the Copper puddles would take some beating.

The Ti Copper Stoned is a real beast. Tough as nails all metal construction except for the wood mp. It has a nice girth. It doesn't roll. The bumps make twirling a more tactile experience.

@Squiby - you have an amazing collection! How many do you have? I have to admit, I'm envious! I love the uniqueness of all 3!
And unti I saw his reply, I thought all 3 were f on @phattpiggie . Now I guess #1 was from an artist corner?
I'm not sure... I bought Vapcaps throughput the year. Some have been gifted and some will become this year's Xmas gifts. I still have to decide which ones I will keep. The ones I posted above will for sure stay in my collection. As soon as I have my new camera set up, I will post more pictures.

Number 1 was a custom request created in the Artists Corner. George created some copper bodies a ways back. He had a Copper Puddles version that were flat globs of copper on stainless steel.

Then he created Copper stoned with more dimensional globs. Even with the bumpy stem, it still fits in the stash perfectly.

Thanks for the lighter suggestions guys! Will try & burp it when I get home. Much method to it or just slightly depress the inlet?
I almost hate to admit that in my TAS (Torch Aquisition Syndrome) days I bought one of these. It's called the butane screw thing. It is a great tool for burping and screwing lighters (tho really not necessary). :)

1) What techniques do people use to vape classic black hash? I have some hash that I want to vape in there and I'm not sure the best way.

I got some solid hash recently and I ended up buying a small grater to break it down with. Just grate it over a folded piece of paper and you can pour it into a little glass jar, make a filter from cotton or hemp fibre to place over the CCD and you can suck the hash up to load the chamber

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Multi-Funct...itchen-Tool-/302000668680?txnId=1325054494020

It ended up working better without the garlic holder thing attached but that part makes a base so you can stand a snapstash upright and hold dab tools in it

I dont use the OG, just the Omnivap, and I do use a bit of hemp fiber, but I put it under the screen from the mouthpiece end of the tip, this makes it much easier for me to empty the loads without fragments getting caught in it.
@Squiby is the queen of manufacturing the neatest proper gauzes from the stuff. We really need her (I mean "a") thread up with the best advices etc.

I had a thought the other day where maybe multiple vapcap threads can be created, like a filing system, under question headers, with useful relevant answers to those Q's being placed into the repsective thread.

I got my hemp fiber from George. You could also, Im not sure if for that alone the usual shipping fee of $13 is correct, There is the $7 shipping fee but im foggy about that.

But I did google it (Im in UK also) and I dont think I found anything in UK, but did find a US retailer and I think shipping was quite cheap. So just scour for the best price available, shipping included and give the gauze a try. You may be able to stuff a little bit under the screen like me, or make a proper gauze.

This is where we need the multiple threads, one being about using the hemp fiber gauze.
The hemp fiber helps cool the vapor, stop particles getting though, and keep condensers clean longer.
It may help your chest discomfort. You could also try water filtration. It may a heat issue, some are more sensitive to the heat (I am, but I have crazy allergies so my experiences have little bearing on others').

You could justbexperiment wih technique, such as keeping the temp lower by heating hiher up the cap. And there is also the soon to be famous, "mouthpull" technique. There has been lots of description of it.
I would refer you to relative posts/pages on these matters if I made some sort of note of them at the time.
Bring on the "mouthpull" thread!

Thanks Alexis. I intend to give water a go at some point. I have been experimenting with the mouthpull thing to. I suppose it uses less air (at least per suck) and so there is less chance of material making into my lungs.

Will experiment further with cotton. It is certainly catch some material because i can see it on the cotton.

Where do you put the gauze? In the condensor tube or next to screen? And which side of screen cap side or glass side?

Cheers :)

With the OG I've tried hemp and cotton as filter both have worked as intended. I have had em in the bowl under the load, in between the screen and condenser tube tip, in the condenser tube towards the tip and lastly in the mouth piece at the end of the condenser tube. That's where I prefer the filter in the mouth piece just a small piece of organic cotton and it keeps all particles out and can be vaped or saved for further reclaim extraction.

I had a fraudulent charge show up a few days after ordering

I've placed 4 orders with 2 different accounts and cards since February with no issue so far hopefully that remains true. As the website continues to evolve hopefully so does the security.

Edit:

@fluffhead definetly the @JyARz go well with the @VapCap

ALSO POSTED IN THE PHATTPIGGIES WOOD SHED THREAD

We've all got one of those mates that, when you get everything together, order bits, research things etc, he then just comes along and makes himself a new stem, using all your tools and parts, draining you of knowledge, and then leaving in a rush before his tea is in the dog?
Well that was well and truly me today, and a massive thanks to @phattpiggie once again, for having the patience to open your workshop up to the needy every now and again, it is fully appreciated.
To be honest, all i did was turn the tiny teak bit, this was after Mr P had physically set the wood up to go, cut the glass (In a lathe!!!), put the tiny carb hole in the glass (Neat as), a team effort you could say :)
Much similar performance to my OG but with a bit of wood instead of rubber (always nice), and looks a tad more refined than the OG, more smoking jacket time in the study :)
I have just now put the Ti end from my, still number one stem, Piggie Blackwood into the end of the glass, i am under the impression that the longer the pipe, the more draw you can get going, i just did a bowl in 2, not the usual 3!
You gotta love this vape, it's versatility and it's endless possibilities, it's the 'Meccano' of vapes for the grown up, the more you build and test, the more you think up :)
So once again, thank you @phattpiggie, he also gave me some tiny hose for lighters and i am now back on my Turboflame.
And as for 'her indoors', she had tea ready upon my late return, was impressed with my afternoons activities, had a smile on her face, and this was after she had been to work, i am truly surrounded by sound people, i must have been a saint in a previous life :)
Great day had, cheers all

@Alexis
I tested again and I was able to fit .12 grams of my most moist cannabis in my Carbon OmniVap. I have a CCD in there so it might allow for a little more material than a ceramic screen.

With the most dry cannabis I have I was able to fit .11 grams. Both times I actually took a small amount out to more accurately reflect my usual load. So in other words, I could fit even more if I wanted.

I use a medium fluffy grind, sometimes a bit on the coarse side. Current grinders are SLX and Space Case titanium.

I haven't been able to test heat up time as much as I've wanted, but the difference doesn't seem to be as much as I expected.

Some of the best days start with a "George Breiwa has sent you a package"

@VapCap team, you guys are all awesome! I've had quiet a complex order since almost every time a friend tried my OG, I had to order them some Ti model too! Matt has been great to work with, both with keeping up with all the different orders and with my whacky logistics, so :tup::tup::tup:

Now on a different note - Anyone going to C.E.S in a month??

As if I had to say anything in this thread, but everyone that likes to vaporize needs to do business with George and Dynavap. He went well above and beyond the call for me recently. This is the kind of company that you can be proud of giving your money to! Give all your friends Vapcaps for gifts this holiday season!

No worries man. I see @Cowputer has chipped in with some really appropriate advice, and he has actually tried various methods with hemp and cotton in the actual OG.
I only have tried it with the Ommivap. I tried a gauze on top of the screen, underneath the herbs, but I do use ground bud and it would get caught in the hemp fiber and be tricky to fully empty.
My gauze making skills arent brilliant and it has loose bits catching the herb.

So I just put a bit the other side of the screen now, underneath it. I push it into the Ti tip, from underneath the screen side, only a tiny bit in a ball, as the Omnivap condenser will screw into the tip and it will therefore be too tight in there if I use too much hemp fiber.

Cowputer has some great suggestions for you for the OG. One advanyage of placimg the cotton/hemp at the top (tip end) of the condenser tube is that it will keep the condenser cleaner for longer.

Guys what do u use for cleaning the vapcap? I cant seem to find higher than 70% alcohol around here and that doesn't do the trick.

I use Zeus Purify cleaning solution in a Vapcap doob tube. Put your tip, screen and condenser in the tube, top it off with solution, shake and soak. Don't shake if you put a glass body in there. For light cleaning a short half hour soak will do. Serious grime needs over night soaking. Then rinse and dry. Then have a toke to celebrate.

I bought a bottle over a year ago and it is still almost full. This stuff is effective and lasts forever. They say that it is nontoxic too. Highly recommended.

99.9% Iso and Q tips for the condenser, they do fall apart some times and like @Squiby's they can be
a bit on the fat side but once soaked they change shape and work okay, or the cotton comes off and I have to force it out with a thinner stick.

I use a glass test tube for soaking and do several soaks before I tip it out to evaporate, it leaves a sticky residue on the VC when it's this dark but a quick Iso wipe and the Ti is good to go.

I thought the instructions on the dynavap website said to not use ISO...

WARNING: Cleaning with alcohol or other flammable liquids is not recommended. Alcohol will not damage any component of the VapCap, even with prolonged soaking, but we do not recommend using it.

I think the warning is aimed at the possibility of some one soaking and not thoroughly drying the VC out before use.
I'm sure if the H&S people really jumped on the VC we would all be sold welding goggles and gloves to use one.
If you don't feel comfortable about an Iso soak then follow the warning.

I agree with @phattpiggie, it is most likely a "cover your ass" disclaimer, using flammable solvents with a flame powered vaporizer could result in problems. As long as you thouroughly rinse all of the iso off first you will be fine. The condenser is stainless steel, it's perfectly fine to use iso with it. I'm not sure how the o-rings would react to iso but with my method they do not come in contact with the iso.
