Herb gardener...
So matt emailed me again. This time to tell me that the xls condeser won't fit the vong. So now I'm a little unsure as to whether I will get an extra condeser to fit the vong (which I will happily pay for of course).
Or if I'm now gonna receive the shorter version, which I don't really want...

I must applaud the customer service from Matt, they could have just shipped my order and the mistakes would have been my fault....
Instead they have took the time (of which I know they are limited) to contact me and deal with my frustratingly uneducated problems...
I must be an annoying moron to them...

Assuming you ordered a "stem VonG" you will need a XL condenser unit to be able to spin it with a mouthpiece or a standard condenser to use without the mouthpiece.

Without mouthpiece. Condenser
With mouthpiece. XL Condenser

You use the standard condenser with the short body (to make standard length rather than XL). Hopefully that makes sense but I am pretty ripped.

If I remember correctly, you ordered an 18mm VonG. If you bought just the VonG body, rather than a compete Vapcap sporting the VonG body then you will need the shorter condenser so you can use it and switch it up with your long stemmed Ti Woody XLS. The 18mm wide VonG short body is 45mm long.

I suggest you add the regular condenser to your order and you will have the best of both worlds; a long stemmed Ti Woody XLS and a short body 18mm VonG. Then you can switch up stems and bodies as you wish. The regular condenser is a fraction of the cost of getting a complete Ti Vong unit.

You have said that you really prefer the long stemmed Ti Woody XLS, so don't compromise there, keep it and add the condenser for the VonG. Get what you want.

Yeah, the Dynavap CS really is second to none. I discovered that these are people you want to deal with. They have your back. Add the fact that the Vapcap is the most efficient, tiny and aesthetically pleasing vape out there and you realize that Dynavap gives us the whole package.

I LOVE my Vapcaps! They really have taken my vaping experience up several notches. They work perfectly and have no fancy parts that can fail. Beautiful, simple vaping perfection.

You will have your package soon and I hope you love your Vapcaps as much as I love mine!

Herb gardener...
This is what matt sent this morning.

'I went ahead and added a standard length condenser in your package since the ti woody comes with an XL condenser (which you would be unable to use with the vong body). Let me know if you didnt need this for some reason, and I can remove it before shipping tomorrow.'

I hope this means I will be getting the long setup with and extra, short condenser, like you say.
But no mention of additional payment has confused me....

If an extra part was being added, I'd have to pay for it. So maybe it's been swapped instead....

Anyway I have my conformation email now, so it's posted... will have to see what turns up....

There's something very special about this Vaporiser, it promotes love and cooperation amongst its users (or perhaps it just attracts loving and cooperative users to it)... Either way, it is a pleasure to be a Vapcaper and part of this FC community.

The very awesome @Ruta kindly got in touch with me knowing that I'm a fellow UK'er, and offered to gift me the last of his CCD that he recently acquired. THANK YOU VERY MUCH RUTA, YOU ROCK!!! It arrived 20 min ago, so I'm gunna give it a go at installing it and let you all know what I think.

Much love guys, keep capping

Peace

@kellya86 . You're good to go. Sounds like Matt is throwing in a regular condenser so that both set ups will be functional.

I don't want to say I told you so... but the Dynavap CS really is UNPARALLELED.

FUCK CANCER TOO !
I had a cap that either the clicker just broke or I fried but wow, I didn't heat it THAT much. In any case, while both my vapcaps have working caps, I ALWAYS do a "one-one thousand" count up to "three-one thousand" and if no click yet I stop and draw.

I also combusted the first time I tried to use my vapcap OG. It was awful. I just missed the click and kept on heating. Count and you won't have any worries IMO.

This has been my experience as well, with both OG and Ti Woody. However, I keep going back to it every few weeks and I'm slooooooooooowly becoming more adept with the process. But I have to agree that the clicker, in my experience, is not that dependable and one must therefore incorporate a counting regimen if they want to avoid accidental combustion. Kinda disappointed, actually.

@Baron23 and @Fat Freddy.

I have purchased several Vapcaps and none of the them have had any performance issues with the cap or otherwise.

I have never combusted or felt compelled to count. I've just listened for the click....both ways. I use the Vapcap all day every day, every couple of hours with micro doses.

The lighters I have used have ranged from a candle to a quad torch. My favourite is a double jet torch. But they all work for me. I do not engulf my Vapcap with the flame nor do I turn the flame up high. I use smaller 1 inch flames and hold the Vapcap perhaps a half an inch to an inch away from the cap. Heating near the digger outter results in higher bowl temps and heating closer to the top of the cap results in lower bowl temps.

If the cap itself is not reliably clicking, then I would contact George. He stands behind his product.

I installed my titanium screen in my OmniVap last night. The process went well except my spring clip was a little loose so it wouldn't hold the screen securely. I simply stretched it out a tiny bit and now everything is safe and snug.

I don't notice a difference in performance, but I was already happy with the airflow of the ceramic screen. I just hate looking at grungy ceramic all the time, and prefer an all metal omni.

I broke out some Northern Lights I've been slow curing and wow, the flavor was amazing. There was a surprising amount of grape flavor. The flavor held up through 3 heat cycles, which was shocking as I usually only do two heat cycles and have been thoroughly extracting in those two cycles, with the flavor in that second cycle pretty toasty. After looking at the ABV I realized I could have easily gone for heat cycle four with the NL but I'm pretty sure the flavor would have suffered at that point.

My omni has been great from the start, but I'm loving it more every day. I was thinking of getting an OG to play around with but now I'm really tempted to buy a VonG after seeing how my omni performs through water. VCAS (VapCap acquisition syndrome) is real! Luckily it's a very fun and aesthetically pleasing syndrome to suffer from. :D

Then we have had differing experiences. George and I have corresponded on this issue.

Personally, I don't find it a big deal...I count as a back up to the click which I have found variable between my two (OG and Ti Woody), sometimes a weak click followed by a strong one...but somtimes just one, and sometimes a nice click on cool down and sometimes no cool down click at all (particularly with my Ti Woody).

I really like my Vapcaps but the click cap is not perfected yet in my estimation but, again, in my estimation this does not in any way prevent me from using them successfully and enjoyably.

Good morning friends.

In the shop yesterday I made more bodies in different colors. Some pieces are in stages so they aren't complete yet. Doing a step at time and putting in the kiln over night makes any glass project, big or small, a little longer. So some surprises to share later. In the meantime here's some eye candy.

Cobalt (yes, I forgot the carb will have to redo)

It was a pleasure, what goes around comes around :)

I do have 1 more spare CCD screen that i can post out to someone in the UK, if @VapCap wants to send some more i'll happily distribute a few around the UK to save all the international post and waiting.

In this day and age of mass media negativity, it's nice to find a place where one can recharge some positivity :)

So I have a couple questions for the VC community regarding the OG.
I'm sure this stuff has been discussed, but most of it seems to be in images, which don't help me much with my basically no usable sight.
First, the OG just consists of the body, rubber mouthpiece, condenser, cap, CCD and 1 or 2 O rings, right?
Second, when taking apart the VC, the condenser is supposed to come out with the MP?
Third, what do the new condensers look like? mine is just a round tube with a small hole on one end, and what feels like an O ring holding it to the MP on the other.
I want to get these things figured out before I need to clean it, so any help is appreciated.

Yes you pretty much have it all correct. There is only 1o ring and it doesn't actually go inside of the outer tube but against it all the way around at the bottom. The new condenser tubes are just straight the whole way except a small flair at the bottom end to hold the oring. The old condenser was shaped like a glass eye dropper

Anyone else ever plug the carb hole? Hate to say it,it makes my woody ti draw like a cigarette or like the Omni twisted all the way out. Small toothpick works.

I use mine with the carb blocked all the time, gives me the best vapor I find. I just keep my internal condenser oring pushed up past the carb so I don't have to worry with blocking it with anything else

Yep, well kinda, instead of adding something to plug the carb I just moved the o ring down past the hole. Boom no more carb (well not completely no carb but pretty close)

And we would be in a bidding war. :p

I succumbed to my VCAS and decided to go with a Ti Burly VonG Stem without a mouthpiece. It was a tough decision between that and that sweet ebony, I loves me some burl though. I can't wait to get lost in the beauty of it all.

I plan on using the VonG stem dry too, I like the idea of a thicker stem. The shape and taper of the mouthpiece end reminds me of my glass spoons from my combustion days. My omni is like a one-hitter bat aesthetically. The burly will be more like a wood and Ti chillum.

I just have to say the Zoidberg in your signature is awesome, I'm actually at work and I started using it as a placeholder for missing images in a web page I'm working on right now.

Really enjoying my ti woody. I do have a question is the carb suppose to be on the bottom half of the body?

I find ithat would be better and easier to hold if the carb was more toward the cap.

Position your body for the most convenient access to the carb. I like mine closer to the tip and cap.

The only thing to be aware of is the position of the condenser oring. If you have it placed between the carb and the tip, you will be effectively blocking the carb airflow which will add restriction, which I prefer. If you want a clear airpath, make sure the oring sits above the carb, closer to the mp.
