Did you say GonG? Add me to the list for a GonG and a yellow glass sleeve (short) for my omnivap! yellow drop or electric yellow would be amazing!! :D
The possibilities are endless! I was thinking black and yellow stripes would bee sweeter than honey. ;)

I would name it either the Yellow Jacket, or maybe just the Killer Bee.

I think that would make a lovely GonG. I would need to get a water pipe with a honeycomb perk for the full effect. Maybe something shaped like a beehive...

Good morning friends,

Pacific standard coffee time here in Seattle. It's hot and sunny, yes Seattle. And I'll be spending it in my even hotter studio (kiln gets up to 1075 degrees F).

@Baron23 thanks for adding a little boost of confidence today.
@b0 and @Vapor_Eyes ... yes I'll be working on gong prototypes. I also like the jet black prototypes. Makes the VapCap look like it's all dressed up ninja style or fancy events. I agree that VapCap has limitless possibilities. I accidentally got amber on clear glass and it looks like it's shatter globs ... Not unlike the copper puddles (dang, that reminds me to pick up silver for fuming). @b0 black and yellow eh? Good challenge.

Thanks for the feedback all.

@baron @YungLeaner I think the cap is quite resistent to over heat even if @VapCap warned to not over heat it because of the risk of damaging it.

In severe OCD behaviour I torched the cap in order to burn clean the condensate. Burning it red hot way long after the click until no smoke cames out. Did it at least 10 times, once a week. They both still perform perfectly but I stopped doing it and I do not suggest it. only say this because I think a little overheat should not damage it.

On the other hand I do believe that if you heat it with too much heat ( big torch or very close to the cap torch aiming on the end facing mouthpiece) than the click happens "too late" when load is burning. As @Stevenski suggested try empty trials variing distance or flame source, if blank trials cames out without any click I suggest you to ask dynavap
Just thought I'd add to the cap discussion. My black cap that I got several months ago is kind of weird. For the most part it clicks twice every time. But every once in a while it will somehow lock up and start only making one click a cycle. Still works as long as I realize it's doing it and stop after that click. It'll usually stay that way for a few cycles before I will hear a single loud pop, and then it goes back to clicking twice as normal.

I seem to remember reading that it could be a result of the metal being deformed slightly. I think it was mentioned that it was harder to put the cap on the tip when it was acting up. They recommended trying to work the cap back into a nice round circle.

I was having the same issue and checked my cap and it was a little off, more oval than circle if that makes sense. I squeezed it gently with my fingers, working on the areas that were irregular. It seemed to fix the problem, but it could just be a coincidence.

Many vapes & accessories. Always happy to help
Guys, I'm really sorry, but I gotta ask this: how do I safely remove the ceramic screen? All I see is this ringy thing that holds it in place. Only have a Swiss pocket knife and fear breaking anything... Do I have to pull and screw in a way? Am really grateful for any hint. Still on vacation and try to reclaim with some cotton. Condenser tube is almost clean already... Well, at least I hope so. Got some gunk outta it, but also some debris.. Might combust?

Thanks again for helping me out, fellas!

I actually just did this myself. I did an empty heat cycle to loosen everything up. After it cooled down enough to handle, I removed the Ti tip and then used a bamboo skewer to gently press the ceramic screen out. I inserted the skewer from the mouthpiece side of the tip. The ring will pop out so make sure you don't lose it. It might be best to do this over a small bowl so the pieces fall in it.

You should be able to get bamboo skewers at any grocery store, or even the dollar store. A toothpick might even work.

I then torched my ceramic screen while holding it with tweezers. I used a single torch with a smaller flame. It worked great, the ceramic got nice and white again. Then I dropped my screen right into my bathroom sink drain. :ugh::lol:

Luckily I should have my Ti screens today, probably in a couple of hours. I was cleaning my OmniVap in anticipation. I was going to toss the ceramic screen anyways, so it's not a big loss.

The ring keeps it in. It is like a horsehore. If you can get behind one "leg" you can pop it out. Use your tweezers!???

Good luck,

Nah, I'm with Vaporeyes and just changed out my ceramic for an 8 mm Ti screen last night. As said, remove the Ti end. From the mouthpiece end of it, insert something approximately the diameter of the ceramic screen. Bamboo skewers were mention as are disposable chop sticks you get with asian food.

I have a punch set so just use one of those that fit.

I also agree, do this over a bowl or plate as that spring washer is VERY small.

To put back in, insert the screen, then work the spring washer into the opening and work it down with your chop stick until its down and flat all around. This is where a set of punches really works well as I can pick on the exact right size but absolutely not needed. Chopstick is a great alternative.

Cheers

I got my double crown coco today, And as i suspected will be ordering plenty more in the future. I love it with a triple flame torch because it's about the same heat up as my newly acquired Grasshopper vaporizer.

The draw resistance is certainly there with this one, But i'm able to keep it closed the whole time till the click in one draw.

I find it to be rather smooth even if i go for a cloud by keeping the flame on a little after the click. I gotta admit i did worry about harshness but that's all gone on day one it's nice and smooth.

So matt just emailed me to tell me that I don't need a dynastash xl for my tiwoody that's on order.

My woody is an xls, with mp. I thought this would be the longest configuration, am I wrong?

I want my woody long.

This is all so confusing....

If you ordered a Ti Woody and chose a 62mm wood stem and the XL condenser with mp, or the XLS, then that is the longest configuration available at approx 4.25 inches in length. And the stash to fit it would be an XL as well.

Email Matt back and let him know you want a long Ti woody with a stem not a body 45mm and that you want the XL condenser with mouthpiece.

I am sorry to hear that this has been a stressful experience for you.

Have a look at your account to double check what you ordered. It should show a Ti Woody XLS and a Dynastash XL. Then make yourself a cup of tea, cuddle up with Roy and wait for Matt's response.

Matt is very good to work with and sends an email to clarify orders. Rest assured that they will get it right.

Ah, that sounds cool. I was really into that one, I think a lot of other people were too.

Edit: Also, obviously, those black ones turned out amazing. They look super smooth literally and figuratively.

Thanks @StormyPinkness. I do like the shine on the black. It's a looker for sure.

Had a lot of prep work to do ... planning pieces. I'll have some more to show later but there's one I'm not saying a peep about ;)

Thanks for your feedback.

A few days back: made a few crude kickstands from thermoplastic, inspired by:

Today: Melted my silicone mouthpiece in the oven, trying to drive off combustion odor. Whoops... A little too long at 350°F.

Drilled out a wine cork to make a temporary replacement, which works surprisingly well!

I love this. As much as I love the kickstand, the cork is just too awesome. I love finding simple "already have it" solutions to problems. Do you get any wine taste? I'm wondering if it would be a good or bad thing. You can become an expert on pairing strains with wines.

This has actually gotten me thinking about trying to 3d print a ring attachment. Something that would wrap around the base, probably covering the carb hole, and then have a ring coming down to put a finger through. I'm thinking like a ring whistle. I can't decide if it's a good or super dumb idea.

Don't sweat it bud. You have several working vapes & just received a shipping notice. All will be right with the world soon :2c: :peace:. I'm just saying do not be surprised if this little rod of Harry Pothead wizadry replaces your other vapes in a lot of instances.

Hey, thought I'd pop in and give a quick update to my OG VapCap clicking problem. Thanks to @Andreaerdna @Stevenski and others (including manufacturer!) who stepped in to help out.

Everything is perfect now, except that I NEED a Vong, ASAP.

After the initial overheating I wasn't getting clicks through a few cycles, but I left it alone over night and now it's clicking perfectly. Still running close to combustion, and I think I should grab a triple-flame to make my heat time more consistent. But WOW, the milk on this thing! The vape signature is similar to the Triihouse high (which is stronger than nearly any other vape signature for me), but it's sooooo much easier to use successfully. I'm sure I'll break mine soon, which is why i need a Vong.

@kellya86 I think you'll be happy at the end of the day, but don't be discouraged by the first couple of tries. The manual advises doing a few heating cycles with the bowl unpacked, and I highly suggest it. I know you use an EQ, and the VapCap is VASTLY different than the EQ in nearly all areas--instant heatup vs 20 mins, very few parts vs. lots of breakable glass, portable vs. desktop, bowl size, etc. But once you get a repeatable heating ritual down pat, you'll be SO happy. Amazing hits through water, although I think hitting it dry is going to be a sneaky favorite. It REALLY reminds me of using a one hitter or cigarette, except cigarettes were tearing my lungs apart and my one-hitter resulted in more finger burns than enjoyable highs.

@PeteSeattle loving the black with the bump very smart. I tend to heat my vap cap and pass it to a friend and they sometimes can't find the carb hole right away. GonG's would also be on my list of wants. I like the bee idea that others mentioned. I'm liking the curvy looks over just a straight stem, somthing so they don't just roll off the table might be useful like a couple of leg bumps.

Does anyone know of a way to possibly tighten the lid on the dynastash? The build quality of the dynastash I received is phenomenal but I have noticed the lid moves a lot easier than the previous cocobolo one I ordered months ago to the point of it opening in my pocket a few times. Is there a particular screwdriver I need to tighten the lid? I have a couple screwdrivers at home but nothing that seems to fit the odd shape of the screw on the dynastash.

After a nearly 2 year break and a couple months of combusting :puke: and lurking, I finally got an OG and wow! I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone here but it is amazing. Such thick hits I almost choked on the first one. When I finished the ABV was the color of espresso grounds.
This is the perfect device for me. Exactly what I was looking for.

EDIT: shit this thing has me so ripped I forgot to ask. Can you throw a small dab in the cap alone then just heat and hit it holding it down?

Sup Vap heads? Was away from all my VC's for several weeks, almost a month. With a couple of GH's, the Zion, Milaana, and wall adaptor for my VapMan the VC's got lost in the shuffle.

Busted out a OG VC for the first time in even longer than a month (had been using the Omni VC for a few weeks). I missed it!

What a great vape. So simple, yet so effective and affordable. With an excellent vapor signature. As i always say, even sitting next to the highest end desk units and portables, the VapCap will always have a place in my rotation and in my heart. Vap on ya'll.

Dabbing as we speak with 2 seconds extra heating after each click, small Dab folded into organic cotton. Same thing can be down with liquid pad material (see: volcano, etc). Awesome results, mediocre taste because my wax is pretty B grade.
