Wasn't trying to offend.

You ASKED the question:

When I asked if you were reaching Optimum temperature for your vaping preference,
I was referring to the difference in where you heat the cap (where the tip is actually sitting in the coil) as to what effects you'll get.

(MOST induction heaters that people make tend to be set about in the MIDDLE, basically if you were to hit the "N" in Dynavap, on the cap, with a single flame torch.)

So for the NEW vapers, reading this, if you heat right up by the temperature discs then they will click in a second or two but your herb will still be relatively cold.

Whereas, the lower you heat on the cap moving the direction of the mouthpiece, the longer your cap will take to click but the better Vapor production and higher temp THC released.

The point of my question was simply to help answer what I thought was yours by Discerning where you're positioning the tip in your heating coil on your IH.

If it's sitting too high when it's activated your cap will click in only a couple of seconds and not reach Optimum temperature.

UNLESS... that particular temperature WAS your desire to begin with.
(Heating closer to temperature discs, Quicker click, but lower actual Vaping temp = Lower level THC, and more CBD focused hits.

Heating further away from temperature discs, longer time to click, but higher actual vaping temp = upper-level THC focused hits and much less focus on CBD.)

It wasn't a criticism. I was genuinely trying to answer the question that I thought you were asking.

Happy Vaping!
Thank you for pointing this out, I readjusted the coil to heat up near the center of the cap with a seven second heat up time on first click. The coil was heating to close to the top of the cap. Now I get vapor on the first click. I meant to say that I respect the click. Not to be critical. Only my experience which is better now. You have been helpful. Happy vaping :)

That is always my concerns with the IH's.......how long is the heat up...where is the heat centered, or how big of a heat band is hitting the tip......

Also, the fact that the heat up is so fast....3 seconds? wooooow. You will not have enough room to go past the clicks and get the normal extra heat prior to combustion you can get with a lighter or IH that is not as fast. IH general heat up time is about 8-11 seconds on average. You can normally go 1 to almost 2 seconds past click with a Ti....SS will take more before combusting though.

OR you CAN, pull it... out... early...
(Shit! "That's Not Just Going Away.") if you WANT to focus on those more CBD, Lower-level THC, hits. You don't HAVE to heat TO the click.

If you only heat about halfway to 3 quarters of the way to the click, you'll get lots of flavorful tasty hits, but less vapor
"clouds".

The added BONUS of actually doing it THAT way,
is MORE potent ABV edibles! :mmmm:

Happy Vaping! :leaf: :spliff:

So I forgot to turn on the power button while charging up my Portside Mini. So no big deal, just pull out the torches. I have been running my two M stems carbless with the IH. Well it tasted harsher and the vapor felt pretty hot. So I pulled out the condenser and reset the o-rings to the normal full use of airport position. What a huge difference from torch to induction heater. I already loved the Portside Mini but now I have a better appreciation for the flavor and the even heating it provides. Think I will keep the airport unblocked from now on for when the battery dies.

Shoutout to antispleen for setting me up with this stem!
Now I have my ideal piece: Omnivap XL lookalike with spinning Ti MP and 7-fin Ti tip.
If the Omnivap is a luxury car, this is a luxury car with a stick shift.

Is that an early Ti stem? It looks a bit different at the mouthpiece end, than mine. Enjoy, I really like my Ti stem w/ spinning mouthpiece. Along with a 17 M - they are the 2 vapcaps I use daily. But the Ti is my fav

An old school gravity vong, Have a nice vape!

THAT is the COOLEST DV related video I've seen, in a WHILE!
Thx for sharing!
(Gravitron should thank you with a free one or something, cause I'll DEFINITELY grab one in the future!)

Does that cool ass video make anyone ELSE wanna grab an empty 2 liter, and some scissors?

( and if you get TWO, 2 Liters,
You can cut low on one and high on the other and increase the size of the chamber to really get a good "hit" out of her!)

AAAhhhh, Memories! :myday:

*side note*

I just love how "cannsy.com", it seems, is charging MORE for theirs ($78 for LG, $85 for XLG) because each of the OTHER sites that carry it (about $65 on average) are apparently out of stock.

Doing "business" THAT way, THAT site will be the LAST site on Earth, I EVER spend ANY money at, for ANY reason or for ANY product!

Happy Vaping! :spliff: :leaf:

Not sure, I always thought there are only 2 styles of titanium bodies/stems, a 1st gen and 2nd gen, the 2nd gen being the one with the fancy cutout pattern.
Nice @mccringleberry! IMO the spinning MP is preferable to the Omni. Nice score on the 7 fin tip
Agreed. I have to be able to 'clear it'. It's much more satisfying for me than the 'set it and forget it' style of the Omni.

My portside mini is on the way, so now I just need to settle on a Vapcap. This will be my first and I've already decided to skip the "M" model.

I'd really like the Titanium tip, but it's really hard to find in stock in Canada standalone. I also really like the idea of the Omni XL mouthpiece/condenser with the controllable airflow. I can get the Omni XL full setup on Dynavap.com for about $190 cdn with free shipping if I go with the stainless steel body over the titanium, so, I'm hoping for some feedback on the two questions below.

Will the stainless steel stem get hot (possibly too hot to handle?) unlike the titanium? Opinion on if I will regret the extra $60 to get the SS stem over the titanium stem? I do not mind the extra weight and sometimes this can actually be nice, but I don't want a stem that gets uncomfortably warm to handle.

Opinions on the Omni mouthpiece controllable airflow? Is this feature as nice to have as I think it would be? I like the set it and forget it option over having to pay attention to a carb hole. I'll also be going through water a lot with the fat mouthpiece, and I assume the airflow control would be nice for that. Can you close the carb completely with this?

Thanks to anyone able to answer! I will only be using an IH if that changes anything.

I gave a look at my Ti stem....Its the same as yours. I had forgotten that the mp end had that rounded area above the airport. mystery solved...jellyware error!

I'm not familiar with IH heating so I don't know how it affects the surface temp of the body/stem near the tip. But with a 3 flame torch, it definitely affects it, especially in high ambient temps when you're trying to do a full session. That's why I wanted the titanium stem. That fancy pattern acts like a heatsink. It cools faster than the other materials used for stems. I've used carbon fiber, glass, and a Woody stem with the metal crowns. The titanium stem cools down the fastest out of all of them. That's because it's titanium but I also think that pattern dissipates heat more effectively. This is very important when you're like me, vaping inside your vehicle that's 140F inside because its been sitting in the hot sun all day.

Well, you've given me some pause on my plan to go with SS stem and shave off the $50-60. It doesn't really get too hot up in the Yukon in Canada where I live and I'm always vaping at home, so not quite the factor for me as it is for you, but I would not be happy to have a stem that's uncomfortably warm to handle during use.

It would still have the titanium mouthpiece/condenser, so I'm cautiously optimistic that would cool it enough to not let the SS stem get too hot.
