Is it "Doably" repairable?

I joked a lot about the breaking of my OG Chillum stem because this is one of those groups where it's fun to joke with friends like that.

But the loss of my cheap glass stem can't even begin to compare with the true LOSS of a cool piece like that!


On the subject of member friction, I had literally sat here and prepared a lengthy response that I thought was intelligent and fair to everyone and might actually help in some way........ And then scrapped it.

@RogueGuy pretty sure we've all been in a similar situation at one time or another, online. I think I can safely say that on a personal level, you have the friendship and support of many of us here because..... You've earned it.

@Stu having modded and adminned numerous groups and forums, I personally applaud how you dealt with this in as neutral a manner as you could.

In spite of personal friendships Within the thread or Forum at Large, As a mod, I'd have handled it exactly the same.

Entire thread wide flame Wars can easily erupt when you don't. (Oh, and thanks for not ripping my glass cooling beads off and feeding them to me when I first joined over a...
"number" of back-to-back posts.)

@EVERYONE, you guys/gals are ALL awesome! I look forward to reading your comments and drooling over your Dyna-Porn!

do not you miss the carb hole with the glas stem?

I don’t own the 2019 steel tip so can’t speak on comparison with titanium. People report 2019 steelhas better flow than the 2018 steel, which I own and which is better than 2017

So for glass stems with no carb hole, I use a “mouth pulling” technique (a la @Squiby)—two or three pulls with cheeks, then remove stem from mouth and inhale that vapor into the lungs. Works fine. I can’t lung- pull a carb-less stem, though maybe some people can. The carb-less stems work very well with a water piece.

The current Titanium tip has excellent airflow. The shape of the ti tip has changed over the years, and some people are very attached to a particular prior version (the famous “7-fin ti tip”). It’s as much aesthetic preference as anything, as it’s quite beautiful. Myself, I cannot tell the difference between the 5th and 6th generation tips that I have when using them. Here’s the 6th gen (current) ti tip. It’s a lot like the 5th gen, but the fins are rounded off

I have no experience with 2019 steel tip, so can’t compare them. I hope this helps

EDIT: thanks to @RogueGuy, I see I had the generation numbers wrong. Corrected (sorry to add confusion).. Thanks to @Ramahs, I see that I followed the label on the pic, and didn’t count the fins! TheJackalsMark’s photo below shows an actual 7 fin, gen 4 ti tip.

That pic does not appear to contain a 7 fin Ti tip. Both tips I see in that pic have 5 fins.
The one in the left appears to be a steel tip. The one on the right looks like a 5th gen Ti tip.

I have multiple glass one-hitters that came for free with my GravLabs purchases that also fit my Dynavap tips. @RogueGuy 's stems are different, and better in my opinion than a straight glass tube or a one-hitter.
