IMPORTANT PSA!
Hi, boys and girls!
Your friendly neighborhood DUMBASS...
I mean Jackal, here.
Just wanted to throw an IMPORTANT glassware tip your way today.
(I'm like Schoolhouse Rock for stoners! I'll have to come up with a cute little song to go with this shit later.)
From stem to stem, PARTICULARLY, when it comes to those OG Chillum glass stems there ARE ever so slight (sometimes larger) variances in the diameter of the glass.
When they first came out with those they weren't exactly EXPECTING us to stick our dynavap tips in them.
SO....
Rule of thumb : When it comes to these dynavap tips.....
Be they stainless steel or titanium or what seems to be 2 basically identical tips...
DO... NOT... FORCE IT!!
Oh, I knew better.
Tried it... ANYWAY.
siiiggghh.
I had a new Shadow M tip (2018) in it which was already a tight fit to get it in there compared to my titanium tip.
I decided to take it out and swap it for my original Shadow M tip which had defective air flow. (confirmed by dynavap)
While waiting for that replacement tip, I went ahead and filed slight notches on the original like people were doing for the 2019 M tips.
Dramatically improved the air flow, and my adjustments were VERY slight. LESS than halfway between nothing and the titanium tip.
Needless to say, I ASSumed that even though the fit will be snug it will go in just like the other Shadow M tip did, because they're both stainless steel Shadow M tips.
Soooo, I lick those O-rings, and go to pop that tip in...
The picture above, is of course, the aftermath of my epically stupid decision.
Bottom line kids :
No matter how SLICK You Think You Are...
No matter how MUCH wax you think you've used...
EVEN if you JUST had an IDENTICAL tip in the stem...
Take it from me.
NEVER force it.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled vaping.

Happy Vaping!

@mccringleberry I got to get me some Do Si Dos I keep hearing so much raving about.
@thejackalsmark you should give your stem a proper burial. Bagpipes, head stone, 21 Cap Salute. Its the right thing to do.
sorry to see your glass stem popped...fortunately you werent cutSIIIIIGGGHHH!
