Vapman “Beta tester”
Apparently there is a science to wrapping a metal heating element around a ceramic oven without causing it to crack regardless of the heat up or cool down temps and/or roughness of handling. Other vape companies have through trial and error successfully worked out the manufacturing issues and DotLeaf will too. They have a stellar rep so probably priority one is to remedy this problem if for no other reason than their bottom line. Very promising vape at a reasonable price. Lets wait and see how this is addressed.
I’d also like to say that it’s not effecting performance as of yet. Even if it’s cracked. Still not what I want to see but at least it’s not out of commission.

Not a Vapman “beta tester”
So I just ordered one direct from dotleaf. VapingDNA is out of stock. ElementVape has them but with tax and ship it turns out to a 5 dollar difference from ordering from dotLeaf, plus I’m sure to get the latest revisions. I do have a question - do we know the temps for each step?

Was hoping these preset temp steps would be prominently listed on the website but they're not. Tells me that we are still in the development of this vape and the early adopters feed back will determine the best temps and other features to come.

@khelek41girl Thanks for the clarification. So the boost mode is a 15 degree C temperature hike that takes one to the next higher preset.
Edit: Does the boost mode stay at the higher temp if the button is released?

I have an empty spot in my collection for a conduction vape. I was able to get a vapbong unexpectedly so it looks like my conduction spot will remain open for now. I like, very much, what I see here so far. The possibility for modifications made by those smarter than I, is tantalizing. But even as is, the vapor production is impressive.

Gone from where? It looks like www.dotleafofficial.com still has them in stock. Just checked the website and there's no indication of them being out of inventory. Though, I checked the US site, so maybe that's why? Not sure if theres a difference in stores
Gone from vaporDNA at 20% off apparently. I double checked. Its not the direct from manufacturer site. Thanks for the look out!

I’ve had my Dotleaf for a couple of days now and had a bunch of issues with it.

The chamber/pod does not makcontact properly. Every time I put the chamber in and put it in fully, the device does 3 white blinks. I have to fiddle with the chamber a lot to get to the heating mode. if I hold the chamber pushed down towards the bottom contact, and then triple click, the device starts heating. And moment I let go, it does a triple blink once again and stops.

After a bunch of fiddling and cleaning contacts, I got to the heating mode. My first 2 bowls came out nearly charred and vaped incredibly hot at the #2 setting.

Even though the 3rd bowl was fine, it only worked if I had the chamber at a significant angle (which caused air to leak through the top)

I have written to the company and they are going to ship replacement parts to me directly (Even though I’m in Canada).

Not sure if it’s the gasket or the chamber that’s at fault. There is no visible damage to the gasket.

I’m going to hold off from using the device until the replacement parts arrive.

So should I buy it? Haha. I’m currently using a mighty as my daily driver edc vape but this looks like an even better option to cover that. What do y’all think?

Mighty is still the king with Arc GT and Solo 2 close seconds imho. Dotleaf is excellent also assuming they fix the chamber issues with this early rollout.
btw I haven’t had any of the chamber issues after about four battery changes (about 10 bowls).

Actually, I’ve had some of the ‘fiddling’ and ‘charring’ issues too.

Yes stays boosted after you hold and realease power button. Each time raises temp 15 degrees until max temp reached.

From the instruction book...

Also, here's a side by side with the DotAIO SE for comparison

So the boost option just changes it to the next higher heat level for the duration of the session, like a temp-step option? Previous comments made it sound it was a temporary boost that only happened while holding the button down.

Correct. You do not need to hold the button down more than 1-2 seconds to effectuate the next boost level (15F increments).

@RobbIt Thanks for the great photos and info. Question: Is the boost 15 degrees F or is it 15 degrees C (27degrees F) ? If it's 15F then there would be the potential of eight preset temp options. Sweet!
