fwiw, my tin was banged up as well. i got mine locally so i asked for another one, but the one remaining one there also had a banged up tin, with a scratch. owner of the headshop said the distributor who dropped off the davincis was quite rough with it.. and pretty much all the tin boxes were dented we really are a fickle bunch, aren't we?

pandawok, my flexistraw also had glue at the mouthpiece like yours did flaked and crusted it off with a paperclip myself..

Used a screwdriver myself haha, just poked a hole through and added it to my collection. Also my first tin wasn't banged up at all. The sleeve is whatever, but my first tin was and still is perfect, no dents, scratches or anything.

I have to make a video as well, been lazy with it since i don't have a video camera. Only options are iphone/webcam/old compact photo camera (no sound).

I am glad you are enjoying the DV and the plastic smell is fading away. Just be sure to keep it clean, the screens are very small and collect resin really fast.

Just recieved my replacement unit and prize pack (yes I won and Karma said they'd make an announcement a week or so ago but haven't seen anything so here it is I won! ) and Karma, I hate to do this to you guys, but I'm pretty disappointed. First thing I notice when I open the package, everything is loose in the box. E-cig catridge boxes loose everywhere, the shirt looks like it's been rolling around in the box, and the unit's tin had a few dents and the cardboard sleeve is a little warped in places. Sure this could be USPS's fault, but a little packaging peanuts or even newspaper would've helped.

Now I open the DV tin and find a black unit inside. My original unit is grey and like it way more than the other colors. If you could Karma, I would like a grey replacement and am obviously willing to send the black one back.

Also the t-shirt I got is a medium. I know I never mentioned a size, but you didn't ask either, but anyway I could get a large? I feel like a kid who just outgrew all his clothes when I wear it.

Like I said, I really do love the DV and you guys over at Karma are really good at helping customers out, but I feel a pretty neglected when I go through the above, but maybe I'm just being picky

Yup...you're being picky. Let me get this straight...you post a negative review for a vape that you like and functions properly because the packaging was damaged in transit, you would have liked black instead of grey, and your t-fucking-shirt was the wrong size? You outta weed?

I was pretty set on the Arizer Solo until I realized that this was a pocket sized vape, and now I'm no longer sure what I want.

Right now I'm stuck using my MFLB, and I'm looking for something still portable but that will get me medicated more quickly and possibly off less herb than the LB. As I understand it, the Solo is the closest thing to a desktop vape in portable form, but it's not all that portable?

Anyone here have both that can give me a comparison of sorts? How much does it take to get really high? Would it take less/more weed than the Solo?

Everyone always talks about the big hits you can get out of the Solo, I'm assuming this doesn't provide the same kind of clouds (does it put out clouds at all), but do clouds really = you getting high faster and off less?

Good start. The only time I'd be using it outside of my own house would be at friends' houses and in the car. I unfortunately live with my parents still while I'm finishing school, and while I'm old enough that they have no say in whether or not I smoke, they do have a say in if I can have a desktop vape sitting around in my room as it's still their house, so I'm looking for the next best thing.

However, I do need to take into consideration stealthiness for in-car use, where it seems like the Solo would be pretty much useless.

Would the DaVinci be a very noticeable improvement over my MFLB? And again for any other people who care to chime in, will the Solo use less weed to get me to the same level of high as the DaVinci would?

What's the battery life like on it? I vape with 2-3 friends sometimes, where multiple batteries for the MFLB comes in handy. I know the Solo has long enough battery life for those sessions so I'm wondering about the DaVinci.

Your actually spot on, I actually am hittin a drought right now. I am not giving a negative review at all and sorry if it came off that way. I love the DV and Karma like Ive said in my past posts. I probably should have just sent them a pm but my phones being slow (stupid excuse i know but only access to ingernet right now). Also should have said theres a bigger split in this black unit than my original one. Ill take pictures later when I get a chance.

Also about the packaging part, i know this a replacement but its a $250 retail product. If i paid $50, whatever I couldn't care less, but like Ive said in the past, I'm right out of school and broke. Money's tight and job's are scarce in my area. Excuse me for wanting what I pay for.

I figured with my serial number they would be able to figure out my units color and match it up but correct me if I'm wrong. If they don't want to send me another one I'm fine with that but like i said i think the black one seems to have a bigger gap in the split in the middle nearest to the bottom bowl.

The t-shirt I dont give a fuck about. I love the product and would love to promote it even just a little bit by being able to wear the shirt but whatever I'll hang it up and still keep it. I assume Karma would want me to wear the shirt so people will see it and be like "What's that?" But obviously that wont happen if I cant wear it.

Again I'm sorry if that came off like a bad review of any kind. It wasnt meant to be like that at all. Just a few requests to Karma and if they dont agree to them then I'm ok with that because the product DO work.

I have never gotten any fuss from people related to the way the stems look. as for the battery life, if you're going to be using it in a group situation, you'd better bring the power adapter, because you can run it straight off that. The solo has a much longer battery life (2 times) though.

The video on this page is the best vapor production I've seen from the Da Vinci. Use of it on it's own you'll see vapor from just about every hit, but far from clouds. Not sure about the clouds = better, it certainly makes it less obvious what you're doing when you're not puffing out huge clouds though XD
And damn does this thing get me very medicated very quickly

Some people say 5 sessions, it really depends on what temp you're running at. Mines relatively new so I keep it charged and cleaned, but the lowest I've ran my battery was 4 sessions and the battery life said half. Also, it's not really a 'party' tool. It'll round house kick you and a friend in the face in one session easily, but outside that... Not that it wouldn't be viable to use it with 3 or 4 heads, just not conventional, I would think.

You can see the clip through the crack of the black one but only barely on the grey. It also looks like the sides are uneven.


I don't know if you can see here, but the gap is bigger than my other unit. The grey sides are touching, while I have to force the black sides to touch. Now if this is being picky, I guess my expectations are just way too high.

DEV TEAM said they are available via email, and have i said , Dev Team contacted me FC and told o comunicate to emails- after first mail havent got any emails .... And guess what , Im livin in europe Latvia, and store seems not to ship to latvia.... and this means i woldny be able to get mine replacement ... (bought it on ebay)
Yesterday, i had some terrifying expierence , maybe i was too fucked up but when i just went to bed , had an idea to run my davinci instead of vulcano, and after few hits started headache and i frlt
Really dizzy and one of my eyes were fainting ...it was a horror story, wont even continiue to tell what happened after this ...
now im even afraid to medicate from mj, not even talking about using DV
It could be that IM THE ONE WHOS PICKY, but when i plug DV , its starts buzzing that Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii sound , and stops only when its fully charged ... Like old bulb noise , AND ITS
IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP IN ONE ROOM with charging unit ... Anyove has the same problem?
However one advantage is that , battery indicator shows its full much more quicker than Piiiiiiiii noise is goe , thats why i always charge it till this sounds stoped, then i know it fully charged....

Mine is the same, except for the last four digits. Why you want to know the serial?

I sometimes hear that buzzing sound, its like a flicker, but then i mess the charger a bit and it stops.

And it is not loud..

The buzzing is standard and happens to all units. Don't know much about electrical work so I'm not sure if it was meant to be this way or if it's just a result of the it charging. It is loud as fuck in a quiet room but it's easily covered up with a tv or some music.

Now about your horror story, I really hope you just had some weird shit in your herb, and it had nothing to do with the split down the middle, otherwise I might get all fucked up too Sorry to hear that though man, no one should be afraid of mj. Was this the first time you've used the DV?

Mine makes a humming noise when it is charging but I never thought anything of it. I figured it's just part of it, and if I turn on the TV on or something I can't even tell it is there. I have the white one and I don;t know if that makes any difference in the noise or how it is held together but mine also has a bit of a gap that never has affected anything

One more question for you guys, I've pretty much completely changed my mind on getting the Solo, this seems like a much more fitting vape for what I need at this moment in time, something stealthy and portable that's a big upgrade from the MFLB.

That being said, exactly how stealthy is this thing? It looks like it's a little bit shorter yet fatter than my Blackberry Bold 9900, is that about right? Is it comfortably pocket sized or will I feel like I'm carrying a huge thing in my pocket?

Buzzing does happen in some units. The volume can vary. I have really sensitive hearing to high pitch frequencies, so electronics tend to buzz a little louder for me (a "silent" room full of monitors is practically deafening to me) so I'm not the best judge of it.

Panda, we'll do a swap for you. Not a problem.

My Da Vinci is deadly silent when charging. In a silent room, if I press my ear up against the device while it's on the charger I can hear a very very quiet buzzing noise and nothing more.

That being said, exactly how stealthy is this thing? It looks like it's a little bit shorter yet fatter than my Blackberry Bold 9900, is that about right? Is it comfortably pocket sized or will I feel like I'm carrying a huge thing in my pocket?

It's about the size of two Iphones stacked on top of each other... Maybe slightly bigger. This thing is mega stealthy. If you use a low temp you won't be blowing out clouds of vapor, hold in the hit for just a few seconds and you won't blow anything out. It fits into a pocket easily without notice, people would just think it's a phone. Also some people have been complaining that it gets hot, but I think this might have been another case of other competitors bashing the product. I frequently use mine all the way up to 420F and in a heart beat can flick it off and throw it in my pocket. The outside doesn't get hot at all. I think the worst thing about the all mighty Da Vinci is probably the storage compartment. It can be hard to get a hold of to open. But even that has it's advantages. If you didn't know the product but suspected that was a storage area, it takes some fiddling to get it to open. So chances are the person would just give up thinking it was nothing more than a stopper to prevent the thing from breaking when closed too hard.
