Been looking at getting a new vape too. The flavor comments have pricked my ears up. What of the stem options would people recommend?

Absolutely love the short wooden stem! Yeah she can get a bit hot if you go for heavy hits but it’s great for flavour and being a WPA.

Think I’m going to pick up another fusion with the long wooden stem, my interest in the tornado has cooled off after thinking about the financial outlay compared to the fusion. I’ll want a stem which is extra (and not yet compatible because reasons) and then I’ll want some wood on it which is also extra. Thinking this way it’s just so much easier to justify a £120 fusion with all these things standard

@Rodney you probably already know this but Rec Vapes sell the stems separately if you’re getting tempted by the mini ;) I’d highly recommend picking one up, think they’re like £20-25

@SlickHenry I’d recommend either the long woody or the metal if this is your first fusion. Then pick up a mini or WPA later down the line if you feel the need

You can soak the o-rings so no worries about cleaning.
Oh yeah, all my o-rings get soaked in 91% every few days. The only thing that seems to mess them up for me is piecing my Fusions back together.

Any of y'all rocking TS woods Infinity stem or his poker? Now that I've ordered a shorty, my VAS is telling me that I might as well finish the collection lol

I have the original poker and it's perfect for the fusion. Changes the experience up a good bit aswell. When using the poker I get 1 heat extraction every time, even when respecting the click. I have scorch marks on the wood from heating at the very bottom of the cap but it's no issue and I actually like the way it's starting to look.

I see the metal stem Fusion 2.0 can be used natively in 10/14mm water pieces. Is this the case with the other stem options (Long wood/Short wood/Artemis)?

Still weighing up what version to get and holding out for any Black Friday deals.

(snip)

I’d also like to agree with this. I think the Fusion 2.0 is the best butane pen vape for newbies and what I’d recommend over a DV. It’s basically a DV with an armoured cap, hyperdyn sized bowl, artisan wooden stem and leather case included. By the time you specced out a DV to match the fusion the price difference becomes very apparent. Insane value for money with the Dani line

I have a copper FMJ, a silver Vaphit collar, and a regular armored cap for my Dynavaps. Silver collar is my favorite (with the cap, it is also the heaviest combo), OHE or sipping. Armored cap is my least used.

Been considering the Fusion V2 for quite a while but wondering if there will much of a diff from the DV+silver collar?

Never tried anything apart from the armoured cap for Dyna, which was excellent, a bit step up from Standard DV cap. But the Dani was a big step up from the DV + AC, great vape. Worst thing about it is it is 9mm so won't fit any of your DV stems

I’ve used all of these.

Compared to a stock dynavap it’s a huge upgrade in terms of flavour, power and just being more forgiving when heating. Much better heat retention too.

Compared to an FMJ’d or AC’d dynavap, it’s still an upgrade on all fronts but I’d argue not a £120 sized upgrade on those metrics alone. Heat retention is also about equal give or take.

I much prefer the Dani. I like the screw on cap, the more hybrid heating, the wood stems and easily swappable mouthpiece, the adjustable airflow into the bowl, and the fact it works well with torches of all sizes. Those things may or may not make it worth the price of getting a Dani if you already have FMJ’s and AC’s, but they certainly do for me

Dont lnow if it helps: i use the dani for weed and dyna with vaphit silver collar for traditional hash. I find the dani with weed is way better for me than dynas with silver collar in every aspect. However, for hash i prefer the smaller bowl of a vapcap, silver collar and going like 8-10 seconds past the click

Got the glass stem for the DF2 from RVS and it works very well but I do not like the shotgun hole in it.

Right on. Need some balls in there for cooling unless it’s going good without. I was used to no carb with the wood, so awkward when I first got my glass stem too. Now letting a very quick & tiny amount of air through it, a couple times during a long draw.

I'm thoroughly happy with my many BFG Dani's, except for the draw restriction. I'm looking for similar clouds and performance, but with far more open airflow. Does opening all 6 holes on the Fusion detract from vapor production?

I see everyone talking about how much they shut the holes off, including reviewers, which seems like it would put airflow on par with the Dani's. Not sure if I should give in and get a Fusion, or be looking elsewhere.

With the fusion 2.0 I prefer to keep the airflow fully open (all 6 holes exposed). I find this gives me the most vapour no matter how I use it wether that be through a bong or natively. This wasn't the case with the original fusion, I used to have the airflow almost completely closed off with that one so I don't know why it's so different with the fusion 2.0. Anyways the fusion 2.0 is the best vape I own.

Thanks for the quick information yesterday @TheScamericann !! It was truly helpful in answering my concerns qualitatively.

After spending a night with my VAS warring with my frugality (many such cases!) , comparing the Fusion 2 to reviews of other devices in it's weight class, I've placed an order with Wesley. In particular, the "All metal all the time" , since I'm curious on how well that wpa fits into glass, and I love SS and Ti.

Sadly no more WPA in stock, so I'll have to sit tight for a bit.

Regarding airflow, the Bings Buddery review of the Fusion 1.0 had an excellent visual comparison on airflow:

I really like Bing's review formatting and lack of speaking. Every time I was like "okay I need to go back and forth in the video to compare these" there was a sidebyside component. @BingsBuddery

I couldn't wait any longer and picked up a Dani Fusion 2.0. Pretty excited to try this especially as my M21 Dynavap doesn't satisfy like it used to.

I went for the metal stem mainly due to price and ease of cleaning. I believe it does give the most cooling and read somewhere that you can actually extend it to offer even more if you really want. I am not too bothered about the stem getting warm after multiple heat ups as I will rarely do more that one of those huge bowls!

Good times ahead.

Recently picked up a long woody 2.0 and I’m absolutely enamoured with it. I’ll attach pics of the stem but I think I won the grain lottery with this one! Was hoping for a lighter one as my others in the past have tended to be darker, and a nice light one is what I got.

I’ve been mainly doing slow roasters with it, using a DV sized torch and going 15 seconds past the click. This allows me to fully extract everything to a very dark brown AVB with excellent flavour and heavy hybrid effects. I love how even the bowl comes out and it feels like hitting the Anvil RTL both in terms of production and effects.

I mixed some rather crumbly hash into my bowl last night and the fusion extracted it brilliantly.

I’ve also domed my screen, which has opened it up a LOT. Does anyone else run their screen domed?

I picked up the metal stem 2.0 and I absolutely love it too. I was tempted by wood but it the end went for ease of cleaning and slightly extra cooling that metal offers. May pick up another stem further down the line to not feel left out!

It's quickly becoming my favourite vape. The flavor is incredible and I can either sip or create a huge one and done rip. It always seems to hit me hard though!

How is this vape not more widely appreciated?!

I run it with minimal airflow so would definitely want to try this. I pushed the screen to max setting and now it seems a bit tough to move. How best to pop it out and dome it? Do you mean orientating as in u or n?

I push the screen out from underneath with an Allan key.

When the first models came out there was a bit of a stigma due to the name, and people thinking it was a dynavap clone. I feel like a lot of those people never really came back and saw how far the Dani has come since then. It’s a shame as I think they’re both better value and have more to offer newbs and enthusiasts than dynavaps. I struggle to find a reason to recommend them over the Dani these days. My recent experiences with the slow roast tek have got me struggling to recommend an anvil over it too.

I’ll pop it out from underneath with like a kebab skewer or something like that. What I then do is put the skewer in the middle of the screen (skewer is stood up vertically and “wearing” the screen as a hat) and gently bend the edges of the screen downwards into an “n” shape. Don’t go too mad bending, should be just enough to get the rough dome shape. I’ll then put it in the bowl, and use the skewer to press on the centre - this spreads the edges of the screen back out into the edges of the bowl and locks it in. It’s a pretty simple process so I hope I explained it well!

Edit:

A way to further increase conduction and hybrid effects that I’ve just been playing around with. Inbetween the 3 sets of airflow holes there’s a nice chunk of metal that extends out to the threads. I’ve memorised where these are relative to the BFG logo, and line up my torch with that spot on the lowest steel band. Works quite well ;)

Hi everyone,

I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on the Camouflet Convector vs. the Dani Fusion 2.0. Has anyone here tried both and can share which one they prefer? Or maybe someone has some inputs why one might be better than the other?

I currently own a Crafty+, but it doesn’t deliver quite the experience I was hoping for. Doesnt hit as hard and takes forever to finnish a bowl. Before that, I used a Dynavap, which I liked a lot, although I found the chamber a bit too small.

Thanks in advance for your help!
