The Vape of Things to Come
I paid about that for mine via ebay, and I would say it was worth every dollar.

It's amazing how something so small and light makes big clouds of cool vapor. I never thought I would end up using it rather than the Volcano sometimes ...but I do. The fast heat-up time and efficiency with which it uses herb is just incredible.

The fairly poor battery life is the only weak spot, but if you have a usb power pack for your smartphone, you can use it with the Crafty thanks to its micro-usb charging port.

It's simply the best portable vape on the market.

I think that's the way it's supposed to be. Mostly works for me.
Hey! Do you ever find your crafy being very hot after the session?
Mine does get so hot, I need to wait for the unit to cool down before I can charge it back again. Does that happen to any1, that or just thats the unit is to hot, and need to cool down?
Maybe because I'm really taking my time vaping, so my sessions last for about 15min?

My crafty gets hot after a double session, but not so hot that I can't hold on to it. Then again I've never done a 15 min session, mine take 2-3 minutes tops.

They suppose you to change the CU regulary anyway, like the volcano bags and valves because the CU may loose fit after frequent cleaning. This is why they are relatevly inexpensive in a Pack of 3 compared to the heater. Feel sorry for you anyway, it sucks when a part if such an expensive device is failing but you should have some replacement at home just in case. I broke the mighty logo of one of my CU and can't make it close tight anymore and was like . Luckily they send me a free one after I threw the broken plastic logo in the box of the defective unit.
My top unit is uneven from multiple cleanings. I think it is time to start thinking about buying multi packs of the cu from s&b.

I'm about to pull the trigger and buy a crafty. I'm selling my solo to a friend to offset the cost. Between the crafty and firefly, who wins on sheer taste with little/no resistance?

I Pulled the trigger on Wednesday night, Had free overnight shipping from storz-bickel.com, just hit it for the first time, and IM STONED!!!!!!! I have so much to say but cant gather all my thoughts at the present moment so great decision!!!!!!

Taste is subjective but I would choose Crafty every time. Less resistance, bigger and faster clouds, less drawing, more potent hits and a whole bunch of other things that the Crafty does better.

Those damn batteries don't last a lot though... Already at almost 50h with my replacement and I am starting to see a good drop in power! I am thinking to get a Vapman for a daily driver and keep Crafty for those other times. Crafty is a serious tool but I am starting to think it's not as sustainable to own... :)

FF wins on sheer taste in my book, but the Crafty is easier to use and provides bigger, more consistent hits with zero learning curve IME.

I've only got 20 hours on my Crafty as I really only use it for late night "get the fuck to bed" sessions at max temp for awesome sleepfullness. I'm going to be putting it through some more regular use this coming week as I'm in the process of moving and my other vapes are packed up in boxes. I had to choose one vape to get me through this ordeal, and the Crafty seemed to be the best candidate for 'move week'. The odometer should see a drastic increase in coming days.

Thanks a bunch guys! I'm still deciding if I want to spend that much on a vape I mainly use to help with insomnia. Even though the usage is limited, I love MJ and want the most pleasurable experience possible even if it's only 2-3 hits before I'm ripped.

How much tastier over the solo is it?

This thing looks legit a little more expensive than I would hope, but I might just have to get one. Is it a conduction vape? I really like the firefly also..decisions, decsions :hmm:

I use the Crafty for insomnia. Works great for quick hits.

Do any of you own the solo/air and can provide comparative feedback based on experiences between that and the crafty?

I tried using the metal puck with my crafty for the first time today.

When I use the puck with my volcano there is an astonishing difference in the 2 first bags I get but I don't notice anything significant when using it with the crafty other than it serving its purpose of filling a partially filled chamber. *takes puff from crafty*

I find that the puck makes everything more harsh. Might be great for concentrates but, in my opinion, the puck offers nothing to flower. Zero coughing since yanking the puck out of commish.

I bought a Mighty in November, I've used it every day since and it doesn't let me down. I had the battery-never-showing-full and not-being-able-to-use with-a-flat-battery problems, but other than that spot on.

I did find it a bit big though, and after a few months I felt like it would be nice to have something a bit smaller. So, for a backup I decided to get a Crafty 3 weeks ago. I have been alternating use with the Mighty and I'm slightly disappointed.

The thing is the battery. I always pack out the bowl to the max and just vape until there's no more. This can take me a good while in the Mighty, something like 30-45 mins at a leisurely pace which I enjoy immensely. The battery goes down by two bars maximum then I stick it back on charge. I only vape at home bear in mind, I'm not an out and about user.

So I tried the same with the Crafty. I'm rarely able to absolutely finish the bowl in the same way as the Mighty before it goes flat. On the Mighty I do 190c until the vapour thins out, then it's max temp until completely spent. On the Crafty I set the same temps, and not long after boost it dies. Every time I'm still pulling pretty thick clouds so it's pretty annoying. It takes forever to charge so by the time it's ready to go again your material has cooled and you don't get anything else out of it. I've put it at a bit lower temp and it's the same experience. Using it felt like a race against time before the battery ran out.

I remember thinking at first it wasn't performing as well as the Mighty, but I think it just needed breaking in. It does produce lovely clouds just as thick as the Mighty. In my opinion though, the Crafty is marginally a harsher vape. I guess it's the shorter vapour path, I don't know, but the Mighty came off as a bit smoother.

The Crafty IS the right size for a vape though. It doesn't feel quite as sturdy as the Mighty with all the fins, but it's nice and lightweight. It's very comfortable in the hand, much more so than it's big brother. The bluetooth connection is bloody marvellous. I like keeping track of my usage, 21 hours in three weeks and that's alternating with the Mighty. The lack of temperature control didn't bother me too much, I only use two temps on the Mighty 90% of the time anyway.

I think it's only real failing is the battery. I don't think it's suitable for my vaping style. Smaller bowls and just hitting it as hard and quick as possible would help get more out of it I reckon. I was thinking when I bought it I would use it more than the Mighty, as it's definitely more pleasing in a tactile sense- the experience of holding it it just nicer. But that damn battery. I just can't finish a whole bowl, even when it's charging while you're using it. And good luck doing that with that USB cable! I've seen longer earthworms! And be wary thinking you can use an Apple plug- I tried that and it took forever to charge. I think so anyway. Maybe I was just being impatient.

All in all, I would say if you are weighing up whether to get the Crafty or the Mighty, I'd say Mighty hands down. The Crafty battery just didn't cut it for me, and the slow charging times are painful. After using the Mighty, I plug it in and it's full in no time, Crafty is always completely dead and takes 2 hours to fill. And the Mighty can actually charge full when you're using it.

It'll do as a backup vape. I bought it from Vapefiend but I'm pondering whether to ask S&B if I can pay the difference for a Volcano.

I don't use the crafty as my main go-to device, but the battery isn't an issue for me. I get a reliable 3 sessions with a couple bars left to spare... I know I can get 4 sessions because I've done it a few times, but I just choose not to exhaust the battery.

if it were your main device, I don't see why you couldn't just charge after every session. the battery will wear out quicker but such is life, everything is about tradeoffs.

if that's not enough, or your lifestyle is such that you will need 4+ reliable sessions between charges (because you don't have access to an outlet or a usb charger, etc), then yeah, Crafty might not be for you

Certainly can't argue with your well reasoned opinion. For those of us on the low end of the usage curve, the Crafty kicks ass.
