Same here. As a solo owner I'm wanting something to either replace it or compliment it nicely and am torn between a few.

The solo taste great with the glass pathway but the draw resistance sucks. Apparently different stems on the market can help address this issue.

update? hehe

I just got home last evening.

It worked fantastically. I brought a unused cooling unit for my passage through TSA security. No issues.

I was there with two friends so we did have to charge the crafty a lot but it never let us down. We must have tried 10 different strains through it. :)

For the return trip I decided to just toss it in my bag with the dirty cooling unit. And a few grams of shatter also. Again no issues with security.

If you haven't visited CO lately I HIGHLY recommend it!

Get a Mighty. Believe me. If there is anything that makes you unsure about purchasing it apart price please don't hesitate to ask more specifically!

If somebody is looking for a main vape , you don't have low tolerance and you are sharing and doing back-to-back sessions better get a mighty.

Low tolerance....I think it's just today's herbs are so much more potent than years ago. I can seriously get medicated off 2-3 hits. Sure I can vape more but I certainly feel the effects very early on.

If the vapor quality doesn't blow the solo out of the water, I'll find it hard justifying paying $400 for a crafty. I'm a flavor chase over anything else and while the solo has draw resistance, the taste is excellent depending on the strain.

I recently had some herb that was super potent (don't know the name) but it taste very earthy, almost dirt like. Hard to explain but it wasn't what I'd consider tasty lol

I waited to long to edit my previous post but I had to post a pic from my trip. This contained green poison and was my favorite that I tried. :)

If your tolerance is really so low and you feel good with the solo (notice the rhyme ) , seriously, just keep it unless you have 400$ burning a hole in your pocket. Better invest in some needful things (like weed).
The crafty tastes better but you can overmedicate easily. Happened to myself first day I got it and couldn't believe it after 18 years of combusting joints like cigarettes.

Hi Very high
@Michel When I get 20mins deep into a Crafty session all my birds are well and truly blasted! This machine can murder that's for sure. Pretty sure if I went too max temp it would remove my face and soul all at the same time :whoa:

The update for the app in the IOS store just stated "Minor errors resolved", dammit I was hoping for a Turbo boost option after 3 press's on the button. Come on S&B you know you wanna!

Well, at 63 hours, and I got the yellow flashing light. I was having a session, and I noticed it's taking forever to warm up, so I checked the app, and the temp was droping even though red was flashing. I got the "send your vapourizer to storz and bickel" messeage on the app. I was expecting more from a German product, but I guess this is the way of the vapourizers, made in germany or not.

The crafty travels very well, highly recommended. Even without a replacement cooling unit they clean up superficially with iso wipes and a smell-proof case. I am temporarily without a bt4 device though and will be looking for another one. Does anyone know if the crafty app ever made it to the kindle fire universe?

Hi Very high

I am off too greener pastures for a holiday soon and will be without Crafty and having to sadly burn my medicines for a week.

72 hours and it's dead isn't good for such an expensive vape. Is it being replaced as a warranty defect?

I'm at 21 hours and my crafty can't finish a bowl anymore now. It used to kill it dark until it was dark brown abv but not I can only get a few ok hits no huge clouds anymore. Looks like the battery lost some power. Do you guys think I should just pack it up and send it in and put that as the reason literally? Will they replace it for something like that or does it have to be completely dead?

I bought a Mighty in November, I've used it every day since and it doesn't let me down. I had the battery-never-showing-full and not-being-able-to-use with-a-flat-battery problems, but other than that spot on.

I did find it a bit big though, and after a few months I felt like it would be nice to have something a bit smaller. So, for a backup I decided to get a Crafty 3 weeks ago. I have been alternating use with the Mighty and I'm slightly disappointed.

The thing is the battery. I always pack out the bowl to the max and just vape until there's no more. This can take me a good while in the Mighty, something like 30-45 mins at a leisurely pace which I enjoy immensely. The battery goes down by two bars maximum then I stick it back on charge. I only vape at home bear in mind, I'm not an out and about user.

So I tried the same with the Crafty. I'm rarely able to absolutely finish the bowl in the same way as the Mighty before it goes flat. On the Mighty I do 190c until the vapour thins out, then it's max temp until completely spent. On the Crafty I set the same temps, and not long after boost it dies. Every time I'm still pulling pretty thick clouds so it's pretty annoying. It takes forever to charge so by the time it's ready to go again your material has cooled and you don't get anything else out of it. I've put it at a bit lower temp and it's the same experience. Using it felt like a race against time before the battery ran out.

I remember thinking at first it wasn't performing as well as the Mighty, but I think it just needed breaking in. It does produce lovely clouds just as thick as the Mighty. In my opinion though, the Crafty is marginally a harsher vape. I guess it's the shorter vapour path, I don't know, but the Mighty came off as a bit smoother.

The Crafty IS the right size for a vape though. It doesn't feel quite as sturdy as the Mighty with all the fins, but it's nice and lightweight. It's very comfortable in the hand, much more so than it's big brother. The bluetooth connection is bloody marvellous. I like keeping track of my usage, 21 hours in three weeks and that's alternating with the Mighty. The lack of temperature control didn't bother me too much, I only use two temps on the Mighty 90% of the time anyway.

I think it's only real failing is the battery. I don't think it's suitable for my vaping style. Smaller bowls and just hitting it as hard and quick as possible would help get more out of it I reckon. I was thinking when I bought it I would use it more than the Mighty, as it's definitely more pleasing in a tactile sense- the experience of holding it it just nicer. But that damn battery. I just can't finish a whole bowl, even when it's charging while you're using it. And good luck doing that with that USB cable! I've seen longer earthworms! And be wary thinking you can use an Apple plug- I tried that and it took forever to charge. I think so anyway. Maybe I was just being impatient.

All in all, I would say if you are weighing up whether to get the Crafty or the Mighty, I'd say Mighty hands down. The Crafty battery just didn't cut it for me, and the slow charging times are painful. After using the Mighty, I plug it in and it's full in no time, Crafty is always completely dead and takes 2 hours to fill. And the Mighty can actually charge full when you're using it.

It'll do as a backup vape. I bought it from Vapefiend but I'm pondering whether to ask S&B if I can pay the difference for a Volcano.

Great post. In my usage, I finish a half bowl in a minute, 2 tops, and a full bowl in about 5 mins. So far the battery on the crafty is good for my usage, but I can easily understand how it wouldn't hold up to those longer sessions.

I also highly recommend the Volcano. It is a tank of a vaporizer.

Because of the differences in size and corresponding battery life, the crafty is the personal portable vaporizer, while the mighty seems like more of a pass-around type of portable unit :2c:

Crafty is a WAY better vaporizer than the Flowermate. When I sent my Crafty in to S&B, I bought a Flowermate 5.0S for vaping on the go while waiting for my Crafty to return. The Flowermate couldn't hold a candle to the crafty in terms of vapor production or flavor. Flowermate definitely seems to heat up faster and goes longer on a charge.

Thanks guys! I love my solo. It's the first vape I've tried and owned. The second was a flowermate 5.0s and for me it personally got too hot and the vapor quality was warm and harsh due to the short vapor path. The unit could've been defective but I was able to return it for a full refund thanks to the awesome customer service at PuffItUp!

So now I'm considering replacing the flowermate with a crafty. I considered a stealthy pen style vape but I'm such a huge fan of tasty hits that I'm almost unwilling to sacrifice that for anything else.

Mine should be covered under warranty I mean the heater is gone. I can't find my charger for my mflb so now I'm back to smoking.

At 20 some hours you should have no problem with the battery. Sounds defective, maybe the battery maybe the heater.

You just have to send it in to S&B and see what they are willing to do. Detailed review of the warranty reveals that batteries are not covered so any remedy will be at their discretion.
