Vapor Sloth
He could have looked on the bottom of his Crafty for the device serial#. I assumed, maybe poorly, that he meant something different than the device serial #.I'm aware but he wants to know what model unit he has

I believe, I could be wrong but if I'm right, what you are trying to know is what your crafty model number is correct? Well there should be a CY00**** number the higher the number the newer the model. I believe anyone one who can share there thoughts on this.OK, I really have been following along (or so I thought) but somehow missed the beginning of the model unit discussion. My apologies for the obvious question but, how does one determine what model unit they have?
I bought mine fairly early in (am at 57 hours), but can't figure out what model unit that makes it.
Thanks
"He", ie me, has the serial number CY00982, but he/me doesn't see how that tells him the unit number (7400, whatever). If it matters.
those are the numbers we are referring to."He", ie me, has the serial number CY00982, but he/me doesn't see how that tells him the unit number (7400, whatever). If it matters.
Just to say received my replacement crafty today. 9 day turnaround . Received a completely new unit charger etc...
Am so pleased to have crafty back.
Thanks S&B for the no hassle replacement

@nappymac - Thats obviously warranty and you should receive a new one pending S&B's review of documentation and condition of the device.
@Astedra My first one did the same thing. Fortunately the replacement seems slightly more robust. These things get molded in batches with outliers on either end of the process. I had several "fins" break off before the larger failure occurred.
When I use my Crafty plugged in it will stop charging while the heater is running full blast but when it gets up to temp you can see it starts charging again until you hit it and bring the temperature down.
Is there anything I need to know when taking the cooling unit on and off ? Ive seen a few people post that the plastic broke.
I always visually make sure the threads are aligned. Then again I've always had to do that coz I pack the bowl and then drop the oil pad on top...so you have to compress it with the cooling unit a bit before turning it 90 degreesIs there anything I need to know when taking the cooling unit on and off ?
interesting you find that, i personally like straight to lung, it might just be a placebo but i feel like i always get higher that way. also with straight to lung the vapour on exhalation looks thinner...that might be better absorption in the lungs?(??)So I had to experiment a little today. I took literally 10 shredded kernels (what you get when you grind) and vaped it in the crafty (with liquid pad). Not only did I get serious vapor, I got HIGH, LIKE A BOSS. I told my bud about it and he said he "HAS TO GET ONE!!!" Wall note, best method is mouth inhale, then into lungs, then exhale. I did this yesterday and tasted lovely buds all day at Walmart.
Hey guys , Im new here to this forum and would like to thank everyone for all the input on the Crafty. Ive read this entire thread and I got lots of good information. I ordered my Crafty yesterday and I got it today. Very excited is an understatement. I have not used it yet as im still at work. My serial number is 7XXX and I ordered directly from Storz and Bickel. The O ring set that came in the box are different colors so im guessing this is the updated version. I want to thank all of you for all the great info and tips. I have the PAX and Extreme Q. This is my first Storz and Bickel and I cant wait to try it. Their reputation speaks for itself. Is there anything I need to know when taking the cooling unit on and off ? Ive seen a few people post that the plastic broke.
Damn! I think my stock Crafty charger is dead. I plugged my crafty into it to charge and noticed my Crafty wasn't charging anymore. If I move the cable around I could get it to light up, but whenever I turn it on now it gives me flashing red lights (no other colors).
Please tell me noone has ever had the flashing red lights be the end of their crafty, especially when I'm in the middle of warrantying my Mighty. I've plugged the Crafty into a phone charger cable and it seems to be charging just fine now, will wait til it is fully charged before I go to use this! Damn, was just about to try carbonated water hits through the bubbler with it too!
