RE: "Crafty 2.0"
No one ever presented it as anything other than pure speculation and rumours.
I personally think it would be irresponsible of S&B (from a business perspective) to not accurately read the marketplace and react accordingly.
Some points, that illustrate this well, include:
All im saying is it would be irresponsible of them (form a business perspective). You either adapt to the marketplace or eventually become irrelevant.
Look at Nokia who persisted with their Symbian OS and outdated touch interfaces... because they were the dominant market leaders.
Since then they have been written off as a loss and sold off. How many people still have Nokia's?
A reminder of what happens.
Edit: Forgot to mention that their raft of new accessories (reducers, dosing capsules, DC containers) is hopefully a sign they are willing to be more agile, amidst stiffer competition (especially in the portable domain).

Some points, that illustrate this well, include:
- As was stated by @Mr. Me2 and @CRvapes ; there are a plethora of alternatives and direct competitors now.
- Their biggest rivals (like pax and FF) have released new variants which close the gap (now the new pax 3 with 15second heat up time!).
- The Crafty is really showing its age with a 1.5-2.8 minute heatup which almost seems prehistoric compared to most new vapes.
- It is coming up to 2 years (next month) since the crafty and mighty were launched. People's warranties will be out, and when it dies I don't think many people would purchase a new one; They will likely go to a competitor.
- The Crafty's once unique features (e.g. bluetooth, vibrate, convection) are now becoming the norm, even in cheaper vapes.
- Problems with batteries on the Crafty must have damaged their reputation to some degree, you don't have to look that far back into this thread to find people losing their minds over multiple returns and cursing S&B. They need to turn the corner on it.
- Many new vapes include replacable batteries.
