I received my Crafty Vaporizer yesterday and all I can say is WOW! This is the first vaporizer that I have ever bought and I do not regret it one bit. Maybe battery issues in the future may make me think otherwise, however this little thing is a beast!

I have a couple questions in regards to using the Crafty.

1. Are we supposed to fill the bowl before heating the crafty up or can I fill the bowl while it's heating up?

2. If I finished a bowl and needed to refill it, do I need to turn the crafty off before I do so or can I leave it on and use the filling tool provided (I assume this would melt the plastic)?

3. How long does your bowl typically last for? It lasted me for about 5 minutes before the vapour started dying out.
1. I think you're getting best results from the start when you first pack it and then fire it up.
2. I let it cool down for 5 minutes then pack it with the filling tool and fire it up again.
3. It depends on your herbs and the temperature you are using.

I'm using a Quad A strain of medical pink kush. The herb burns really slow when rolling in a joint and I assumed it will take a while to go through in the crafty.

Typically on average, how long are your sessions and how many draws do you normally get before you need to refill the bowl (I pull for about 8 seconds each time with 5-10 second breaks in between)?

My sessions reach from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. I use my crafty the whole temperature range. Normally I kill a bowl in 10+ minutes. I start at 180, take five 7 second draws then turn the temperature up.

Where do you buy one of these? The guy in the video hardly shows the attachment.
Delta 3D studios is the site I got it from they are very reasonably priced and shopping is fast
for those using the liquid pad, how are you removing it from the chamber without getting the strings undone?
get it out while the unit is warm, if you wait the resin will solidify and make removing difficult

thanks guys, but opening my crafty responsibly after just using is it is impossible for me, I'm usually too high lol. I need to figure out something else, maybe a big tweezer.

I've been experimenting with 0.25g loads and the liquid pad, I kinda like it, not sure yet.. my sessions last half as long as with a full oven. theres definitely less flavour with the pad thogh.

If my fingernail can't catch it, I gently poke it out with a toothpick. Also, and don't quote me on this since I don't have it in front of me, but I'm pretty sure if your pad starts to lose it's shape, you can probably press it back into a nice firm puck by putting it in the center of the loading tool and pressing the spacer down with some pressure. I haven't actually done this myself yet, but it occurred to me to try it if my pad starts to get deformed.

:peace:

Try using a screen over a load as a spacer, you can use the size 3 screens from your local head shop. If they are a little too big 'dome it' into a contact lense shape.
It works as good as the liquid pad, cost less and you get more flavor because it's not traveling through the dense liquid pad

Not sure what part of the world your in, but vapefiend (UK) is where i got mine from for £198  (just under $300 US?) i think i read something about free global shipping over a certain price but would check first and not take my word for it.

I have used them quite a bit over the last few months and have to say their customer service has been A+, received every order the next day, every phone call (and there have been lots ) answered in a few rings.
Even when i had a small problem it was handled fast and i was happy the very next day:D

While my Crafty was charging today, I used my Pax for the first time in about two months. OMG, the Pax kind of sucks compared to the crafty! It's only apparent to me now after only using the Crafty for the past month. I had been using the Pax off and on for two years... Taste, quality of vapor, smoothness and cloud production were all sub-par when compared to the Crafty.

If you go to AustralianVaporizers, the Crafty is on sale for $428 - 15 coupon = $413 Australia dollars.

If you're in the USA, the exchange rate favors you - its 313 American dollars. You will have to pay 20 bucks for shipping though.

They do provide an apk download. It wasn't even hard to find.

http://www.storz-bickel.com/media/downloads/CRAFTY.apk

http://www.storz-bickel.com/shop_us/en/crafty-vaporizer-app

Still though, noone has explained how I might finally get the app. I can't fathom how the manufacturer of a VAPORIZER would not think that just maybe, many of their customers in non-legal jurisdictions would rather NOT let google know that they are using this app by downloading from the play store?!?!

Why can't they, like just about every other app developer on earth just include a legit current version android apk download with md5 on their official website?

Except that the apk link is a 404... Damn I was hoping it would work too!

Edit: But OMG I got it to work on the eu version of the same page!!!!!!!!! Cheers for the help, and I must take back my previous comments, they do provide the current version of the app on their site, but the US download link seems to be broken just now ;)

So I have decided that as wonderful as these last 3 weeks have been with my crafty, I am not being as efficient with my stash as I should and wanted to get some thoughts from my fellow crafty owners who have also experienced this dilemma . I currently only have an opportunity to vape between the hrs of 6-10 in the evening due to my work schedule, I usually fill up the bowl in the morning as I get prepared to go to work and vape until it's all gone or until my crafty overheats and cuts off on my way home which is typically between 6 and 7 at night ( I do not vape at all going to or at work). I then fill the bowl up again around 10 and repeat step one. As I stated earlier this process Has not allowed me to be as efficient as I would like to be, so for the last 2 days I have only been hitting my crafty for about 12 minutes on my way home and then finishing that same bowl around 10 which has been working decently. Today I decided to fill the bowl up halfway using the lp, I will vape that on the way home, and do another half fill around 10 tonight. For individuals who have tried it both ways, which way is more favorable to you and why. Also if there is another way being used that may be able to help me become more efficient please let me know. I appreciate the input

Hi Very high
@MoneyVapeTheWorldGoRound Do you pack your loads full? I used to fill mine to the brim with as much possible I could without impeding the airflow. Uses a lot of medicine though as Crafty bowl is huge IMO.

I have now started to just fill the loads up lightly to the top then a tiny press down with my finger. I still get the same flavorful amount of clouds I do with a fully packed load. Maybe worth giving a shot? Other people here have reported that you don't really need the liquid pad just pack the half load down with your finger or the orange tool.

Also if your cleaning your Cooling Units in ISO and saving it up you can make some QWISO oil and smear that onto the LP. It goes a long way and lasts forever!! Great stash extender I am finding.

I fill it full, thanks for the advice I will probably use the LP on the way home and compare later on when I vape without it....... Will keep you posted. Also I have soaked my Cu in ISO the last couple times and saved it in a jar, but once it gets to the color I am looking for how the hell do I separate the good stuff from the ISO lol. I know its in this forum somewhere and if no one has time to explain please point me in the right direction . Thanks

Half bowls should work better for your situation, unless you like the reheated taste and to separate the good from the bad put a coffe filter on the lid of your jar, and pour it onto a flat glass surface (eg. Glass baking sheet), once the iso evaporates your literally 'golden'
