I've posted further back in the thread a detailed document on how to setup an Android VM on a Windows PC as long as you have Bluetooth 4.0 LE support (which you can add with a cheap USB dongle)

So as long as you have a Windows PC ... I would guess you could do this for ~$10 even if you don't have Bluetooth on that PC/laptop.

Great idea! I have VMWare Fusion but forgot about Virtual Box. I found out that the general process works on a Mac, too, only this Bluetooth on mine doesn't support low-energy Bluetooth. I'm thinking it should work with one of those USB doodads. Thanks!

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
I managed to bug the girlfriend into giving me my present earlier. I thought I was getting the crafty for sure until she handed me a sealed envelope which was a huge disappointment..

Little did I know it was the invoice to my crafty. I won't receive it until Friday because they were having issues with the app and weren't sending any units to the u.s.

So now I'm playing the waiting game.

Marry her.

She's the one.

Happened to see a 60" micro usb cable in the dollar store. Can any of you experts tell me if there is a reason why I shouldn't use this cheap cable? As in bad for the battery or anything like that?

I see that Planetvape sells the Crafty. I wonder, it's probably easier when having to use the warranty not having to deal with sending back to Germany? Have many bought through Planetvape? Just wondering for those of us still on the fence. I realize there's a chance of issues especially with portables.

Well gentlemen, ladies, I have officially purchased the Crafty.

Never in my life have I paid extra to have a package expedited to me.

I'm on X-mas break, time is valuable, if I could get 3-4 additional Crafty days of winter break....

I paid a little extra.

24$ but I'll have it on Saturday. Otherwise, it wasn't coming until the 31.

I did good in school, I have pure unadulterated free time, and I've been anticipating this unit since you guys got my hype about the Crafty pages and pages back.

I'm all about design, and I think this product is very unique. It took many vapes to get to this point. It's interesting from a design perspective, because the simpler answer was just to make the Mighty.

Someone said, "you can't sacrifice pocketability" The Mighty is just, so much more straightforward of a design. From a manufacturing perspective, they couldn't make the product smaller, by adding those additional components, they figured; shit let's at least give the Mighty twice the battery to make up for the bigger size.

The Crafty, however answers those design challenges. They didn't sacrifice the digital readout.

Rather than making the product bigger, you change the way people interact with the unit, you make the display outside of the unit. Genius. Rather than change the product; change the people/product dynamic. People already have these screens in their pockets.

When stealth is a factor, and the unit is shutting down, vibration. No noise, no constant checking the glowing temperature screen, when it buzzes in your pocket, you know it's ready, that's very stealthy.

Anyways, I'll give it few sessions and try to summarize my experiences.

You guys have got me very excited, and as someone who started off with the iOlite, I can't believe how far design has taken these products. I'm thoroughly excited, and I hope you all enjoy your Craftys.

Okay legitimately guys I know nothing about iphones, I have an iphone4 and the crafty wont connect to it, but it'll connect to my friends newest iphone.. I'm really high and confused and i just want to use this thing without having to borrow someones phone LOL. Also here's my quick crafty review : this thing is awesome, probably going to upgrade to the mighty though, the clouds this things puts out is an absolute beast, at 210 this vape has impressed me more than any other portable to date. It says it all on the box. 'Purity.Flavor.Effect' THEY WEREN'T KIDDING.

Iphone 4 is not compatible. I think it's from the 4s onwards.

thats lame.. I wish there was a windows app, like this thing has microusb, as if i cant set it through my computer without bluetooth :( :/

EDIT:
This guy clearly put a lot of work into this and it deserves more love. Respect @JCat

I wish you could connect via microusb though.

Holy fuck this thing gets you high o.o and this is coming from someone who mainly uses oils.

Great Scott!
Whoever sells the first water pipe adapter that gets my interest is getting my money lol. I like the idea of bypassing the cooling unit, simply because I can then use that while cleaning my cooling unit. But its really not a big deal. Any decent way of hooking this up to glass is worth it.

we should start a petition to get storz and bickel to release crafty app on other devices, old iphone, symbian, computer.

Its not a choice they are making just for fun. They could make a PC, linux, or Mac app if they wanted to suggest a BT adapter and only support that one.

As for the older phones it is a hardware difference. They do not have BTLE which is the kind of battery efficient yet stable enough connection to allow this kind of use in the first place. They don't care what phone you have, so long as it has the physical capability to do what is needed. They aren't trying to upsell you on phones, its the new phones that allow them to sell vapes with thus feature. I'm sure they'd love to have more potential customers, its just not technically feasible.

I just ordered my crafty yesterday. I've been using a mflb for 3 years and also occasionally a pax. I've read some but not all of this thread. I appreciate all of the specifics and suggestions for use. My main needs are around using a healthy medium and for maximum discretion. Any tips on minimizing odor leakage, either of stored flowers or of vaped flowers would be greatly appreciated. I find the pax to exude a strong smell, and that is problematic. The mflb much less so. Thanks.

You just need to power down the device when you know you can draw out the remaining Vapor otherwise whatever vapor is still in the cooling chamber will leak out. See earlier on in thread where I posted pics. If you do what I said above youll be just fine. Odor under control

For flower odor control try nature preserve jars.

You can do the same thing on a Mac as well. It comes down to having a Bluetooth 4 adapter that android-x86 supports.
Did you actually get one working? I would tend to agree with you and that's my hypothesis but I'm yet to have anyone confirm that it works that's tried it here on the forum.

Theoretically it should work on a Linux distribution too with Oracle VirtualBox installed and Android-x86 ...

Oh hell yes, looks like I'll be getting my Crafty a day early. I won a little holiday easter egg hunt for a quick 20$ that covers my expedited shipping. I was going to be waiting until the 31st, instead I'm getting it on the 26th. It's amazing that something on the farthest western point of America can make it the entire way across the US to the far east in under 72 hours, that's including the merchant handling and shipping the item, under 72 hours.

I just blew tasty vapor clouds that space itself sucked up. If you run outside and look up you may see them as supernovas, nebulas and galaxies!

Happy for you!

I have with a different Bluetooth 4.0 device. I doubt the crafty is much different.
