Thank you. I haven't decided if I need that capacity yet. Dioes the couchlog get a lot of warranty work? I'm surprised VGoodies doesn't have it.

I wouldn’t say a lot of warranty work, but I have seen a couple of the temp controller pucks go bad. It happened to one of mine… but there are ways to use the CL with a traditional VVPS, you might need to find the right adapter cord and keep the voltage below 6V, if you do

I love this device, especially for its polite aesthetics.

My only gripe is the stiff wire, makes it a bit fiddly.

I bought DC barrel connectors (5.5x2.5mm) and soldered them to some speaker wire of the original wire's diameter (18 AWG / 0.75mm2). Now it handles much easier, and I also like the look of the copper wire.

But here's another idea for a product I would totally buy: wireless stand / mod or maybe log version 2

Imagine having a stand, where you can just gently drop the log into, with the connectors touching just by gravity. Easily pick it up for use, and put back to heat. Maybe the power dial could be integrated.
The connectors on the stand would have to be shielded a bit, so you don't accidentally short them with jewelry or by putting the log in at a weird angle.

Maybe this could even be a mod kit with an adapter for existing logs.

I have been working on this exact idea for a while (inbetween other things to pay the bills) - and "The connectors on the stand would have to be shielded a bit, so you don't accidentally short them with jewelry or by putting the log in at a weird angle." is exactly one of the problems - That and getting the soldering right on the connectors that were clearly designed to be machine soldered (pins sooo close together)
