Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Got this cute little piece today. Visually, it's definitely very appealing, and I like the mouthpiece. Also luckily not wonky.

I’m also still a bit unsure about the water level. A bit too much and your mouth is full of water, a bit too little and it doesn't recycle properly (that's with the TM2). I need to play around with it a bit more. Dry with the CC Omega at 480F it is nice.

Definitely a good distraction until the high-end stuff from CC arrives.
I received a couple of the pieces I ordered from this seller today as well! Nice thick glass on both!
Really appreciate the recommendation of this seller!

Interesting, I’ve always tried to caution people about using ultrasonic units, as they can be quite destructive. Many never learn how they actually work, and proper usage. And yes, I own a US made, fairly powerful unit.

They are often recommended on FC, but while sorry for your loss, hopefully it can aid others as a precautionary tale!
Haha nah I only put stuff in there I'm okay with losing. It's only for the workhorses!

Has anyone had experience with this goo roo clone? It’s around $50 usd which is great.
I’ve been searching for a smallish simple bubbler with a removable downstem and mouthpiece. This might be it!

I don't have experience with that product, but many people around here are happy with the Saml FC-MOD which is similar in design (maybe slightly better). It should cost about the same or cheaper depending on the options.

Yes that one is fine, but I do think the new FC mod is better and it is actually cheaper...

Which of the three downstream options would be best for a firewood/diffuser style ball vape?

Always the diffusion downstem, that is the main one, nine holes with open bottom, just like the original goo roo... Also don't get the ash catcher unless you want a second chamber of volume to fill and water perc (some people like the other down stems but they are not for me with this one at least)

I've frequently bemoaned the lack of cheap glass in the UK, so here are two options for folks who don't live in the US. I've posted one of these here before, as a travel option but a slightly larger version arrived last week (same basic perc, larger capacity, with a carb and more delicate mouthpiece). I've a feeling VGoodiez stock similar in the US but both these pieces are available worldwide, and pretty keenly priced.

I need some help please.

I'll be purchasing an Anvil around Xmas time. Atm using Dynavaps, and I occasionally break out a Sake glass bubbler (I have to say, I do not enjoy this bubbler - unstable, loud, and would probably end up maiming myself with an Anvil, haha).

I'll just add, I'm woefully ignorant when it comes to glass and all its terminology (percs and whatnot). I think I'm after a bubbler that you can add a whip to (although I loathed my very brief spell with the Volacano Hyrbid, I really did enjoy using the whip!).

Although I haven't managed to read this entire thread, it seems a few pieces seem to be mentioned a fair bit:

SAML Klein Bong Hookahs - no whip, unfortunately
6 Inch Mini Dab Rig Colorful Thick Glass Bong - again, no whip.

This looks fun! I might pick this one up as well; I just need to find it in 14mm:
new 16mm diameter tube 18.8mm female joint glass hookah mouthpiece

This is the one I really like the looks of:
Baby Box Bubbler (Mini Cube) 14mm

However, I've just seen a post expressing that these cube designs are not ideal at all; complaining they require a lot of water, with plenty of drag and blowback. So, if this is the case, back to the drawing board. :bang:

Some considerations:

- I'm fine with being talked out of using a whip, but I have to say, I think this is how I'd enjoy it the most.
- Perhaps a bubber is totally unnecessary with the Anvil (I'll be ordering the longer mouthpiece). And if this is the case, then I'm all ears (although it would be nice to have that experience as an option).

I’d highly recommend this recycler, which is my favorite DHGate glass piece: FC-198

I always use it with an S-shaped dropdown like that one: Dropdown
A dropdown is great because it adds cooling and helps keep your piece clean.

The FC-199 is another popular option and comes with a whip: FC-199

J-hooks are great! I have that one and used it a lot before I "upgraded" to glass from the US. Definitely a good value for the price.

EDIT to add: I don't have an Anvil, but I do have a Tempest and a TA3. They perform great on glass pieces, both dry and through water.

Thank you! I meant to have included the FC-199. But I could only see the 18mm, and would ideally want a 14mm, but I suppose I could use (and should use, regardless) one of those Dropdowns you mention? Or perhaps I should go for your first choice! Decisions, decisions. :p

Yes, that piece is 18mm only. A dropdown offers the flexibility to use it with both 14mm and 18mm attachments, while also helping to keep your piece cleaner. So yeah, I'd definitely recommend it. Shoutout to @Shit Snacks though, he's the glass master and the one who taught me about dropdowns.

EDIT to add: Just note that the FC-199 is a rather large piece. For the Anvil, I think I’d go with the FC-198.

Thanks a lot (and thanks @Shit Snacks !)! Sounds like a plan, and less cleaning is always a bonus. I might be sorted, then!

yepyep Duder got you covered spreading the good word! I never worry about sizes thanks to drop downs, I have everything for everything now, however if you really do want 14 mm and a whip included, you might want to check out the Sneaky Pete Great North predator bubbler I think they call it? I don't think it is as nice as the new FC Mod from SamL however (that one is better with the diffusion downstem though it is 18 mm) but it might be a good option for you?

I'm not sure if it would be ideal with anvil, but that style is really great with everything, I do think a lot of anvil users actually really enjoy the 199 very much, but unsure... The 198 is awesome, great way to experience a recycler, instead of the other klein you shared (which is incycler vortex funnel at the top, and very tricky to use with vapes for full function, so always dissuade people from it)

The other little rig you shared is fine also, basic function, but tiny, yeah and what you want is modular mouthpiece if the goal is to attach a whip (you can get adapters for that variety of places so it doesn't have to come bundled with the rig necessarily, and I would also highly recommend getting pure high grade silicone tubing like from amazon instead of using whips that come with the rigs anyway) sometimes they fit mouthpiece

Thanks man, plenty of things to mull over here. I think I'm now drawn more towards the 198 after more reading, although still attracted to the 199. I guess I ought to have a little search on the Anvil thread as well (should have done that before, sorry). Thanks for the advice regarding the whip, I've seen other people saying it might be a bit dodgy/bad airlfow.

I like to run my Anvil on my O’Connell inception jhook. Prefer dry over water. Flavor is much better

I've got a very basic j-hook for my Dynas, and I love them (still not sure why tbh). I'll certainly be looking for a very nice j-hook at some point for my Anvil, that's for sure.

I'm looking for a small 14mm (or 18mm with adapter) hammer or j-hook style bubbler to use with the lotus. Anyone have anything like that saved? Here's a few I have found so far.

(it's 10mm but supposedly they will make 14mm on request)

(doesn't say what size joint)

Hi,
I'm looking for a round bong with a hose.

I'm interested in Mega Globe MK 2.
Now I discovered an offer on Aliexpress, but I'm not sure whether I should order there.

And is it exactly the same model as in this video?

Here's one on dhgate that looks like the same thing. They probably the same product but the dhgate one seems less sketchy since it has pictures.

I need to stay off this thread, I didn't realise glass could be so interesting... :ugh:

@Shit Snacks I see you purchased this piece a few months ago:

New glass chimney glass chimney water pipe glass base GB-315

Just wondering what your verdict is, after this time? (Or anyone else who's got this piece).

Also, can someone link me to the best whip adapter (ideally on Dhgate) that I'd need, (perhaps a mouthpiece link would be useful as well). Cheers!
