Okay I know I said I would stop, because they're not exactly cheap, though I think they are a bit cheap for what they are, which is truly beautiful work fully unique with color accents and heady elements, very thick glass all around high quality... Anyway I just had to report back to show them in person, so nice next day shipping Vegas to SoCal:
This photo cannot do them justice at all, fortunately the can on the tall one is indeed narrower than my Biao bent neck, but I think the one on the right is going to be a new easy favorite for me (and is now my most expensive piece...) Perc function seems strong out the sides, the wider bulb base is a nice feature to accommodate, and the mouthpieces seem decent a little on the narrow side, but now to try them out! Will be posting in the Halo thread for starters, no more about them here?
The TAG 9 reverse shower cools even better than I had hoped. Dabs are incredibly smooth, even without the double perc attached. I think I like it just as much if not better without the percs.
I think this means I can leave cold wet handling of ice behind.
Anyone care to recommend a J-Hook for this so I can see it/use it as a sort of Sherlock?
I guess it needs something with a decent angle to compensate for the down facing orientation of the 14mm connector.
That reminds me of a subreddit called frugalmalefashionI still think that they belong here (and in the scientific glass thread) because it would seem to me that they are significantly lower priced than many of their competitors for that quality of glass (if it is as good as you say).
Of course a $40 glass piece is cheap...but a $600 glass piece can also be cheap if it could be worth $2000 on the market.

Many thanks, Pam - - I mean @Shit Snacks - - I had a feeling you might chime in with your voluminous glass knowledge. Much appreciated.
I see a rig at TAG that really has my name--Multi-perc lots of cooling filtering*--on it, the mid-sized double honey comb plus turbo rig. It would be the most expensive piece I've yet purchased so I've been looking at the second-quality option. But would be really disappointed if second-quality meant tilted percs or other functional problem. I'm fine with cosmetic issues, having many myself! Anyone with experience with TAG seconds that could encourage or discourage me? You folks just know so much about this stuff. Thanks.
Thanks for digging that out and the positive comments. Very close. They show three different sizes, bent or straight neck. Your's looks like the large 16" straight neck. I'm looking at the 12" bent neck. There also seems to be a 30% off sale on everything.TAG's "second quality" discounted pieces have a good reputation around here. I've never heard any complaints about their seconds. I have one (the first TAG piece I ever bought a few years ago) that was sold as a second, and I can't find a noticeable defect. In fact, I think it's the same one you are looking at (16" double honeycomb to spinning splashguard).
This one:
Hey guys, got a piece with the most hairline of hairline fractures in it. Not all the way through, probably not photographable, right at the joint to the body and the mouthpiece. About 50% of the way around. I cleaned it out with alcohol and it seems to smoke fine. No leaking from the joint when filled with liquid and turned upside down. Is it still safe until I can get it to a glass maker and have them throw it in a kiln? All I know is I should not stress the joint anymore.
To my knowledge, with small enough of a fracture, that should mend the glass together so long as a glassblower takes a look at it and OKs it.Yeah I would just be extremely careful, if you do still need to use it! Not sure about throwing it into a kiln as a way to save it...
I have tracking...I just called Goo Roo. They still haven't shipped that fucking stem...
That firewithinglass bubbler is freaking awesome. Anything like that available in Europe?
Can't wait to see what develops...he wants to make glass that is more designed to work best with them instead of smoking
