I picked up one of those recently (@Shit Snacks posted someone had one for sale on r/entexchange for only $60 and I scooped it up). I like it so far. It sure is a chugger from chuggland.

Try playing with the water level, I keep mine slightly below the shower head.

I played around with both higher and lower water levels than this.
I felt this one gives the best chug without any blowback.
A little bit more and I get blowback, a little less and the chug disappears I feel I might as well be hitting it dry.
This level just feels right to me.
Maybe that last pic made it look higher than it actually is. Here's a better one. The water barely covers the slits:

Hey just thought you guys would like this one, he’s not “cheap” but for sure in the Gooroo licit range of prices on his scientific pieces and he’s putting out some interesting perc designs, bubblers especially look sweet. I have a feeling his prices will climb over the next year or two but we’ll see.

Totally agree. Started following them on IG right before they launched their website and was surprised the prices were in that lowish range. Got 25% off a nice little ~13" 18mm tube for being one of the first orders and I'm super happy with it. Looks like you can still get a 20% coupon for signing up on their site.

Oooh yeah this seems like very reasonable prices for what you get, there are even a few bent necks and bubbler style, clear pieces and heady accented too, I was contemplating grabbing some new Lamart stems made by glassCharlie (there is a fumed spiked donut one I have my eye on as a mouthpiece for my modular bubblers) but they are pretty damn expensive for what they are with conversion rate, transaction fee, and steep shipping cost internationally...
So I am seriously contemplating one of these^ instead, even though I was done buying water pieces, aside from upcoming Cloud Connoisseur line and maybe Licit in the future... The one on the left comes to $128 shipped after discount, and the one on the right is $140 though it had a fucked up perc apparently that was fixed... Edit: No I was wrong, fixed just means the perc is fixed as in stationary not removable? His special custom perk is called fixed reverse "perctosuccess" with awesome stacking!

There are a gazillion choices for a water piece for the TM because it is so powerful and mates so well with glass. I use an RBT adapter, but anything that ends in a joint should work fine. I prefer 18mm glass, tho many prefer 14mm.
My current favorite pieces are the FC-UFO,
the Yingmin5 Rattlecan,
and the D022
If you like big glass there are several great pieces from Goo Roo and other American makers, tho they tend to be more pricey. I just bought a really nice TAG piece tho it is a little heavy for my preferences. All of these and many many others are in this thread...

I use Cranberry Extract in my water to make it easier (much easier) to keep the glass from getting grungy. All it usually requires to keep it clean after using this is a hot water rinse. There is a whole thread about this stuff here. You don't need to read the whole thread tho it is interesting. I swear by it.
I had that made for me by OGB (OregonGlassBlower). It's about 10" long and I had him start the bend about 3 inches up from the joint to get my face further away from the can. I got this a while ago but at that time he had 2 widths of tubing and I asked for the wider one.

I love glass and seeing the constant stream of cool glass - is great - but also wow makes me want to buy ... but then I realize I really like what I have and I can vicariously enjoy all these cool pieces. I love finding out how well they work. Love it.

Haha I totally feel you, it definitely is bad, like the custom fancy wood vape envy? It's the one of a kind envy, although some of it is not truly one of a kind, the glass or the wood, but you know, I totally agree! Sorry if I'm giving you the envy, want to give you the vicarious joy instead... I am glad that I have invested so much into glass lately, after investing so much into vapes for so long, it's all excessive but at least now it's universally so!

Me too. I know how much trouble that could lead to. I generally buy my glass for it's function rather than it's beauty so I have avoided the heady glass. There are only one or 2 splashes of color in my whole glass collection. I DO like art glass but I don't own any. My Mom had a few nice pieces but my brother got them. He is more interested in displaying art than I.

My daily drivers: TAG-9 with Lamart mouthpiece and Herborizer (herb setup). Mobius Matrix (ok not a cheap rig) with Herborizer with concentrate setup. It's a great day in Herbo land.

If I take my TM to a friends I almost always bring a glass piece, even if it's a simple one like a D020. The only vapes I have that I 'regularly' use without glass are VapCaps in their various forms (including Revolve now). And even then I occasionally use glass, with or without water.

Exactly. Beautiful stuff out there, but boy, is it expensive! When I see some of the prices it makes me wonder who/why are buying them? Are they collectors? How many $1k+- pieces could one justify? Or, how would you choose one $10k piece over another, if you were buying the one and only piece you wanted/needed? How do you work up the courage to take one down off the shelf?

The Mobius is as high as I would go. It's still way more than I would like. I'm super glad there is more affordable and well made options. I'm trying a piece by Licit that I like - Virginia company. The Fire one looks great too. Looks like he does a recessed joint style bubbler which I like. I bet that's in a more reasonable price range.
I'm not judging anyones choices so if someone ones to drop $40 or $1500 it's up to them. I find that the cheap piece I bought doesn't satisfy me but pieces above that and below the Mobius work well for me (so does the Mobius - it was a treat).
My aesthetic is very functional so a lot of the more expensive glass doesn't make any sense to me as I wouldn't collect it for art sake though maybe some do.

Yeah I used to be more focused on the deal, I mean I still am, but fortunately I can afford to spend a little more now, never thought I would ever spend triple digits on a glass piece, still have not gotten to the $200 number yet, only three of mine were a hundred or more... So if I get these fire pieces they will be my most expensive yet... Think I have to get at least one, but I am now trying to decide if I should get both for $300 shipped (vs $140 for the wig wag rig on the website or $180 for the bubbler through IG) which he was nice enough to offer
