Jane contacted me back and said that only the new version of the fc-1000 that is smaller is available. Coupon expires soon. What to do what to do.

I messaged Jane last night and she informed me that they had a second bath of the FC 1000's that they were shipping and that in the future they would be shipping the smaller version once they started producing them.

I am going to message again just to make sure what she told me last night is accurate. I informed her that I would want to cancel my order if the smaller version is the only one available and she did not say that my order would have to be canceled.

Received my Matrix Pillar this week! This fires NICE, highly recommended for vaping. However I have discovered some cracks at the bottom of a few pillars. Many start from the inside face of the pillar tubes & go up. Water/air does not flow thru the cracks, functions as intended so far. Was referred to Jane but hadn't yet heard about this.. Suddenly I am not so tempted to acquire a replacement my Fc-1000. :\

Functional, cracked piece > pristine condition, slightly less functional by design piece. Still I will demand compensation for a defective item. I may wrestle a straight fab outta him if he goes thru with the proposed pillar piece. I thought to get the maximum benefit from a pillar perc the idea to have a small surface area or pathway from top of the pillar to the mouthpiece. Instead he makes it larger? :mental:Frankly one is a bong & the other a bubbler. They may require differing tweaks, but BOTH need more reinforcement along the inside "ring" where the pillars sit.

According to Jane, the smaller version of the FC 1000 has not been produced yet. I asked if the dimensions were the same, she said that the second batch of the FC 1000 is nearly identical to the first with very little difference, her words, she did not go into detail what the differences were.

Yes. nano fits with no trouble on mine. Keep in mind you'll probably need an adapter because D-Cycler is 14mm male. 14mm F > 18mm F adapter gives it even a bit more clearance and allows for simple lift to clear easily. I really like this pairing, tho just a little less than my nano on the GB-187. Mostly because of GB-187's larger can and ability to hit it real slow and easy, keeping diffusion to a minimum.
Many a happy night with the GB-187, it will be missed. However the FC-186 and UFO have made my top two and with a Yeti Hook being commissioned and my VAS kicking in I set her free!

Lol that vertigo cycler is flawed. 50$ straw. Save ur money
Well mine works fine...
I literally had a dab out of it like 20 seconds after taking that pic...

It can really only handle that 1 water level, any more and it doesn't quite perc/recycle properly, and any more and you can indeed take a drink, but I quite like it...

You understand wrong, our paints are safe, you can buy one to try!"

edit.

i also ordered a cheap tablet, i wonder what kind of crazy chinese spyware is built into those
did you order the painted egg then?

chainz,
Well, my fc-1000 finally showed up 28 days later, and the function is on point when you keep the water below the pillars

....Buuuuut it came with a crack in the perc, so no "recycle mode" for me, it just chugs and chugs. Bummer. Hopefully my straight fab fairs the trip better and Steven makes this right somehow.

Debating between a recycler or micro double chamber rig. Both will make the vapor come into contact with water twice. So should i go with personal preference from here or are there some other factors i should put into play when purchasing

Dont think vertigo designed that recycler to have water pull up the drain tube (as seen in both your water test and function video). The water should go under the perc not up the drain tube. I had the same problem and got a refund from CCG.

I don't really care about a vortex, and my vapor travels exactly where I want it to.
The water from the perc also goes exactly where I want it to - up the pillars, then the uptube and into the recycling chamber.

So long as I'm not drinking water (which I have said before is very possible with this piece if you don't have the exact water level), I don't really mind if the pressure from me drawing makes the return water level jump up a bit...

Just a flawed design all in saying is it hits very different then the american one its modeled after. I even got a refund from CCG cause no matter what water level I had it was a 50$ glass straw. To each there own but arnt these all knock off rigs at the end of the day modeled after an american one? My point is it does not function as VERTIGO intended it to, which means it probsbly dosnt function how CCG intended it to.

The 2 main differences in this and the american one (whixh i owned for almost a year) is the funnel in the top was poked in wayyyy to far causing the water to shoot right into the MP, and also the drain is attached to high (causing it to pull upwards). I got my 55$ back from CCG and put towards an egg. Sold the vertigo for 20$ to a close friend. Multiple people agreed it was flawed.

Im just trying to look out for potential buyers, but to each there own.

CCG's torus clone showed up today, function is on point and build quality is great. The holes for the incycler seem very small and from the water test I did it's probably going to be a b**** to clean. Overall I'm underwhelmed compared to the fab egg and fc-1000 I've received, this one's going on craigslist.

got my fc-1000 today and it's in perfect condition except for one little slit in matrix perc is chipped doesn't really affect function not sure if I should mention it to steven just a little bigger whole other than that I'm really happy with the fast shipping and quality/function of this thing it's really big and thick and hit's really well ordered 6/20 received 6/30 that's some fast shipping all I need now e-nano and custom gong from VaPeD&CoNfUsEd  also my straight fab is just shipping out tomorrow :p

I'll try and make one later tonight, it definitely drains quickly.

edit -
here http://gfycat.com/GenerousUnitedCoral

this function looks way smoother than my WOL torus =[

WOL torus has a super slow drain (which is why mine's been sitting around), need to order one of the CCG ones looking at that.

the slits on the CCG torus perc are impressive compared to the little holes on the WOL torus perc

I really can't recommend this piece, at least not for my purposes. With an extreme q on it it's too draggy to even function. It might be ok for combusting but then you run into the fact that it's gonna be nearly impossible to clean. the only way for water or other crud to get in or out is through tiny slits or tiny holes.
