Curious Gorilla
Sounds like something smells purple.
That is definately not as sad as it could have been, glad it still works. Easy to make a wooden base for it that would look cool.If only they hid big wobbles...

Get a plank of wood maybe half an inch thick, (could go thinner and use ply) slightly wider than the glass base (when it was completely round)
Cut 2 squares the same size, big enough to fit the base of the rig with an inch or 2 to spare.
Cut a circle in the centre of one of the pieces that matches the glass base.
Glue (and screw if you got no clamps) the 2 pieces of wood together, then round off the corners. Shape as desired.
Clean out glue and wood bits from the hole.
Silicone the broken base into the hole(or some other flexible glue, if you use a glue that goes hard/rigid it may cause issues with the glass). Use lots. Fill the void under the glass base.
I have a couple of nice tasting but cheap and unstable rigs that I have been meaning to do this to BEFORE i break them. I have to get rid of my square To-it first. Need a round one.
You could try casting/pouring a resin base round it, but the glass might not like it if there is any contraction as the resin dries (I dont know enough about resin casting to be sure).
