CCA Liger banger V3.0

Picked up a bubble cap from @israel_glass (IG) at a local shop earlier. Won't be home for another like 10 hours, but I'll try it out for a couple days and let you know how it works with the 30mm.

Was cheap and looked the right size so I grabbed it to support a local blower. Coojo is still working on mine, had some color issues. He's sending me pics as he has new runs, which is awesome. He's very communicative and I would definitely suggest reaching out to him if anyone wants a custom.

I also found Coojo to be communicative and easy to work with.
He sent me multiple pictures of different colors of blue when he was at the glass supply shop so I could decide which color blue I preferred.

This was for a $45 cap.

I went with brilliant blue.

I really hope I'm not gonna be dissapointed by the performance of the new sapphire insert... The website says they are "67 karats" which is 13.4 grams. I was just weighing my cracked sapphire and the back-up I'm using and they weigh 14.2 grams, or 71 karats. Both from late Dec'16/early Jan'17. Same batch, or just about...

Heavier/denser ones should technically be better as they can hold more heat and react less to temperature dips from the dab + cool air flow.

You can even see a difference on the walls. Its machined different. But no noticeable taste difference or anything.

May also explain why its been on sale since its release. The new sapphires have yet to be sold for $300+ yet.

From everything that Josh has mentioned on IG and everywhere else i have read said that it should use all existing carb caps.

I dont foresee any issues using the coojo or weirdeer caps on the Liger Air or any even the hurricane. Caps like the tsunami which have grooves maybe different.

Which images were you referring? Everything i see would lead me to believe its going to be identical or nearly enough to be. If it uses the same inserts and they are trying to minimize material, they would keep it the same as its already about as trim as it can be for the size. I think any bubble cap and practically every saucer cap that works for the v3 should be the same for the Air (minus perhaps the fitment of the Tsunami cap)

I’m on my phone unfortunately but the cca710 insta has been showing a vid of a dab out of the Air on the story feed occasionally the last week or so.

The top part appears to be radiused different which may preclude the use of the Tsunami like @Shooby mentioned, but probably nothing else. I know that inserts are supposed the same so this stuck out at me as something that’s possibly not the same.

I have recently become medical and get some very tasty oils now and my flowerpot does not do it for me with dabs..what’s the best way to get in the liger game for the best price and whatnot..I’ve seen all of the versions but have heard issues etc. just wanna know what’s best way to get started.

I haven't touched my flowerpots in a while myself. Currently there isn't a liger available for sale new from CCA. They are due to release a new version in two weeks which is called liger air. You can place an order for it now and wait in line. Ligers are typically made to order and takes about 2-4 weeks from past experience.

Regarding the bub cap I posted earlier, the bottom touches the dish, so no seal. Works great on another banger, though.

@alittledabwilldoya' and @Shooby How close does the nip on your Coojo's get to the dish? I asked him to make mine a couple mm longer, and am wondering if I should nix that. Here's what it looks like:

With the Ligers, i dont think you want the nipple so close to the inserts to cause the oil to splash up on the ti walls. But thats my stoner opinion.

As far as looks, it wouldnt really matter since its inside your Liger.

Yea I thought about that, but I like the better control. I asked for a tighter pull since I planned on having it closer. What I really want to know is if yours sits more or less than 1cm above the dish. If it's more than 1cm, then I'll be fine with it a couple mm's shorter

I didnt remember seeing a locking nut in any of the drawings and figured that was part of the 50% weight reduction.

So, after seeing the pics of your coojo caps, I ordered one. DM on IG got nearly instant responses. He is making me one with iridescent black/gunmetal speckled finish. Hopefully to match the rainbow finish of the liger. I'll post pics when it arrives. It was super affordable, and he is a joy to deal with

Not sure on how to measure the height of the nip inside the ligers to know if it's 1cm above the insert.

I realize this now xD If it's too long, I'll commission another. Considering that I can get two of these for less than one chad cap, even including a tip, and he is so communicative, I'd have no problem returning to him for another order.

When I get the cap I'll see if I can find my calipers and get some measurements for anyone interested.

Someone dropped a dab between the Ti and the sapphire insert. It got all around the sides and bottom and now it's stuck in there a bit. I'm soaking it in Dark Crystal right now, so we'll see how easy it is to get out.
