Cool, I bought it from Vapefiend so I emailed them to see what they think.I've used the regular gong from PV and was way too loose as well. They will exchange I do believe
I wonder if the new M1D2 I have, or any of the aftermarket battery packs like the ones made & sold by members here, use newer batteries with lower internal resistance because my solo seems to run hotter?

I've said this several times, please let me try once again. There is absolutely no chance that 'better' batteries are making it "run hotter".

Correct me if I'm wrong here but a 30A battery with a lower internal resistance versus a 10A battery with a higher internal resistance should be able to "push" a greater quantity of power and get the heater up to its proper temperature quicker.
This is also why I thought the Persei ran a lot better with those Sony 30A cells vs. the normal AW ones. But again if I am wrong about any of this let me know please.
Very well said!I've said this several times, please let me try once again. There is absolutely no chance that 'better' batteries are making it "run hotter". That's not how this kind of vape works. It's temperature regulated. REGULATED. That means the temperature is controlled by electronics not battery condition. Or 'heater power'. As long as the battery and heater are 'strong enough' to eventually make temperature (and turn the 'heat' LED off for a while) it's at exactly the same temperature that step has ever delivered. The only thing that changes really is time to that first cycle ending. After that it's simply the percentage of time the heater is on that changes, the temperature remains the same.
Looked at another way, the control throttles back the power on cue. Same as engines in cars, past a certain point the driver slacking off the gas (or curse control doing it for him/her). How many potential HP the engine can produce is irrelevant (it only changes the percentage of full throttle used).
Open loop vapes, with no real active temperature control (like Persei, Cera, MFLB and so on) are a different deal. Best to keep the two cases separate, going to higher performance (in terms of flat out power on demand) batteries on taht basis is a simple and needless waste of money. There will be no detectable change for practical purposes. Folks should not blindly waste money here they could spend on dope.
That's the way closed loop systems work......marketing and net.wisdom not withstanding.

When I had my older model it would only lower down one temp setting and only for a few seconds. Is it the newer model?
Get the red o-ring, that fixes the loose stem issue
You need the after market seals!Solo noob here... Love it so far, but I have a few questions... Is it normal for the temp to drop from 5 down to 1 while taking a hit? Am I pulling to hard? Also I know loose stems are the down fall to the solo... But is it normal for it to be loose after 2 days out of the box?
That huge of a drop is probably you pulling too hard. The stems loosen up with heat, yes. When my Solo is cold the stems take some pushing to get in, once it's warmed up after a session I can take them out very easily.Solo noob here... Love it so far, but I have a few questions... Thats interesting it does that. I feel I could rip mine as hard as I wanted on the water pipes or just dry and never had a problem with it dropping like that. My new model one should be here by friday!! It will be nice to have a super reliable, ultra easy to use portable again.
It does provide a better seal!Ok I'll give them a shot!
Will this help with the temp drop?
My old M107 is strong and powerful as the day I took her out of the box.Thats interesting it does that. My newer one I changed out the battery pack and it's my driver. I had a bad cell in one of the two batteries. Rare situation I'm sure.
I'm not qualified to say what your issue is? I hope the addition of the seal is enough?
Otherwise send it back!
These thing are great really!
Hang on... A new battery is much cheaper and can almost double your sessions... Plus super easy to do it yourself. Easy on the wallet
So what are you learning in school?I like how each vape has its own technique. I will master them all one day .

Good field!Computer Science and whatnot
Hehe. You'll learn to talk Ataxian soon enough. I think I'm high enough to try: I think he meant the school of vaporizers!Computer Science and whatnot
