Just got my replacement Solo (hurray). No time for extensive thoughts, but I just wanted to let you know that, despite both being genuine M1D2-model vapes, the new one is subtly different from the old one-
One thing common to both vapes, and which I've not seen mentioned- you know if you remove the metal cap, the heater is fixed down with four screws and two little plastic clips?
On both of my Solos, only one clip is holding the heater in. the other hasn't quite come high enough above the lip of the heater to hold it in place. Both vapes are solid feeling, and though a natural-born meddler, I've not felt the need to try to correct this.
Oh, and for the M1E2 they need to spend a few more pennies on the silver buttons. Tinny, in a world of wood.
- There is less thread on the screw-on cap bit, i.e. fewer turns required to fix it on.
- The finish seems glossier/tougher.
- The oven bit is tighter than on the last one, i.e. it was much harder to pop its cherry (apologies) with a stem.
