Listen to
@CarolKing and you'll do well. My Solo with the straight stem and no o-ring is really wobbly, so much so that I can't pick it up by the stem or the Solo falls off, and if I turn it upside down a gentle shake makes the stem fall out. I use the o-ring because I'm clumsy and the friction that the o-ring provides keeps it in place when handling the Solo. I still don't pick it up by the stem because with this particular stem it can still slip out. I've had other straight stems in the past that were very secure with the o-ring on and shaking it couldn't get it off. I usually move the stem around the Solo while using it as well, out of habit. She likes it when I rock the stem
I hold mine with my thumb
because that's the easiest way for me to hold it. You could use a piece of 1/2 " silicone cut down the middle length-wise as a heat sleeve on the end, easy to remove and place. If you want to use less material you can do a variety of screen mods, currently I use two flat dome screens back to back and it reduces the stem down to about 1/2 the size
this is a better dose for me personally. I can remove both and flip one over and have a full stem but usually the 1/2 stem is enough. Big enough to get a session at level 2 and enjoy the amazing taste and effects of this ChemDawg, then I can go at it at 3-4 or get it on the water path and go up to 6-7.
The special cutoff charger that
@OF made and sent me doing work
If you have a chillum that can fit, you can use some silicone and add it to the end of your stem. Longer glass airpath cools the vapor a little bit and after a while the inside of the chillum is coated in vapor resin.
@ataxian showed us this one!
