Arizer Solo 3

Yeah, the hi-flow stems are the way to go. That thought just caused my two brain cells to rub together and remind me of something: the hi-flow XL stems (or what I was sent as an XL stem) holds more than the stock Arizer stem, but significantly less than the Arizer XL stem.

Arizer XL on the left, hi-flow XL in the middle, Arizer standard on the right. @TigoleBitties are your hi-fow stems like this too? That could be the source of the capacity discrepancy. I've been using the hi-flow ones so long that I almost forgot about this.

I've always thought that ring that holds the screen on these could be closer to the dimples.

Holy crap I think you're right here. I forgot for the same reasons you did. I've been using the hi-flow stems for so long. They do look noticeably bigger.

I'll check in the morning but I don't think the difference is as pronounced as with your stems.

That's a good tip, mate. As far as stems, I use the default. I don't mind the restricted airflow because I'm coming from cigarettes, and I like it.
The only thing that I don't like is that S3 makes cough, especially on-demand mode and I didn't see anyone mention it here, am I the only one?
I'm between a bong, a hook, and a bubbler stem. I'm leaning towards the hook because I dislike cleaning bongs, and bubblers have a tendency to leak. However, I'm unsure if the hook will be effective in reducing coughing, as I have no prior experience with it.

If not, can you please post a picture with the hi-flow XL and the Arizer XL?
Sure, will do after the workday. I took another look at your pictures and the dimples in yours seem to be in the same place (level with the glass screen in the original Arizer XL but your screen seems much higher up on a ledge of some sort and not touching the dimples. The screen in my hi-flow XL WPA is concave and is pressed right up those dimples and supported by them so from memory, the volume it holds should be closer to the regular XL.

I hear you. The S3 is a powerful vape and I think hitting it natively doesn't always provide enough cooling. I always use a hook or a dry rig when I'm using it. Pics below.

I recently managed to break my Arizer bong stem while cleaning it with a toothbrush.
I didn't drop it and wanted to remove the burn marks from the top edge, and suddenly it came off...

Not so bad :)

So I looked for a replacement and found 19 euros for the original Arizer a bit too expensive.
I found an offer on Amazon for 14.99 euros for a pack of two.
I immediately noticed that they are different sizes...

photo of all three here... the one on the far right is the Arizer, and the other two on the left.
The middle one actually fits a little less than the original Arizer,,, but the one on the far left fits a little more than the original Arizer.

I'm happy too, and as you can see, I use the left one the most

No, if you look earlier in the thread, many of us have said that... The power that is present, and how harsh it is, I would not want to use the stock stems ever again honestly that little short straight stem is now pretty useless imo aftermarket glass FTW

Yeah I mean even the stock stems, there are just much better options, better hooks, nothing is equal, so I would recommend looking through this thread from more suggestions of what other people are using

Well. Now you have daily size and weekend size bowls 😉

I'm not an expert on technical issues like battery life, but a couple of weeks ago when I was looking, I saw several models with more than 0.5g capacity. I was ready to buy the DaVinci IQ3 which has a 0.7g capacity, but the shopkeeper told me that he has a lot of returns for it but none for the s3, so he convinced me.

To tell you the truth, the Solo 3 in on demand mode is a bit underpowered. I have to heat it up for at least 30 seconds in session mode and another 15 seconds with the herb before I can get any vapor.

My solo 3 is like this, I have to press on demand twice for it to produce vapor. Session is way faster and cloudier for my s3. I can probably sometimes over pack too but session at 200c still handles it better than on demand at any temp.

Yo, where on earth did you get those two stems. They are beautiful 😍

In terms of tolerance and the S3...I noticed my tolerance getting upped fairly quickly by using the XL a number of nights in a row. I also found that I started reaching more and more for my stronger strains (usually have at least 5 or more available).

I did not enjoy pushing to these higher tolerance limits. So what works perfectly for me, and maybe this will help you, on work nights, I only use a single dynavap. Once the weekend hits, I use the S3 with an XL bowl (at least). I find doing this, my tolerance waxes and wanes really in sync with how much I want to consume during the week and weekends. I also have different strains of varying potency. I use that also as a tool for balancing out my tolerance and making sure on the weekends I'm having a really nice experience and during the week I still get something, but def not too much. I prefer this better than quitting/starting etc.

Hope this gives another angle for you. Enjoy.
always find it interesting when people write about tolerance.
I smoked joints every day for 28 years... 2 grams when I was working and up to 3 grams on my days off.

I've been vaping for 6 months and my consumption has dropped to 1 gram per day "without a tolerance break".

Thanks! They're actually j-hooks connected to a WPA and not stems but the one with the green cooling marbles is from GoodVibesBoro, a glass maker that makes glass for vapes. They also have Solo3 specific stems. https://goodvibesboro.com/

The other one is a cheapie from dhgate

It's ok now. A lot of vapor with the first puff, it just doesn't work very well if you pack it too tight.
The problem is the cough and i mean a lot. I must find a way to resolve this soon because i can't use it. :bang:
And also, there is absolutely nothing in my country, I mean vape accessories. Most people here, they smoke.

200c though the straight stem is pretty intense. Make a smaller inhale until you don't cough.

I use this (the larger piece on the right) which makes it easier to inhale more, but I can still cough: AliExpress

I think there are several factors involved when it comes to clouds. I've had varieties where I only got thick clouds after the second pull... It also makes a difference whether the weed is still a little damp... In my experience, if the weed is a little damp, more clouds form.

What country? Hopefully you can still get stuff shipped... Yeah I don't enjoy using mine as much with stock setup or high temps

I like them too👍, but I have a question. That hook at DHGate has an 18.8mm female joint, so would I need a 14mm female to 18mm male adapter to make it fit?
Sorry mate, I am a little irrelevant.

Greece, mate, and shipping from us is not worth it. I don't know about AliExpress, though. I recently purchased some great stuff from amazon.de, such as an AC Infinity inline fan and a Mars Hydro tent. The market here is too small, and the available tech is outdated and expensive.

Yeah I don't know how easy shipping would be but yes you can use an adapter, what I did was get an 18 mm WPA from Good Vibes, it uses a screen instead of those glass holes, so much better imo and it also fits slightly looser so it is easy to remove and clear hits quick (might be expensive but he will ship anywhere although might be a wait too, I would check out 420 EDC for more readily available options)

Yeah you can definitely find 14 mm other places, I'm sure we can find you something, although the right balance of price and usefulness hmmm

Exactly right. I'm using an adapter in the picture if you zoom in.

There were some good options listed above. Hopefully one of them works out for you. I would think DHGate would ship there too?

Check out the glass section here, there are a variety of threads, some specifically about buying internationally depending on location, but also for hooks (I just posted a nice one there, that has a foot to stand upright and a carb hole, made by a great artist in Canada)

Yeah so the Solo 3 is great, but I fired it up just now and it showed me low charge, I plug it in and is shows me 27% charged. That's high for a low charge. Is that normal? This is a warranty replacement and the other one even when the battery indicator was red you could still get a bowl. This one I don't even get to the battery indicator flashing red.

I think it's probably normal. I don't like how Arizer displays battery life but the way they do it is to break it up in 20% pieces. There are 4 bars in the battery indicator that each represent 20% so that's 80%. Here's the weird part... the last 20% is represented by the empty rectangle with no bars inside it. It looks like a completely empty battery but that actually means it could have up to 20% (+/- some error) left.
