I have a huge problem of starting shoes without finishing them haha. I decided to start Outerbanks. And after the first episode. Yeah it’s got me hooked. Nice long episodes too. Got two seasons. Following the different classes of peoole I thought was gonna be difficult for my dumb ass. But I got a pretty good handle of what’s going on haha.

Haha yeah that one was more fun than it had any right to be! I still need to get into S2...

Please tell me that some of you have watched Squidgame by now.

It was really fun, and I have to say that Korea has been really upping their cinema game in recent years!
I binged this entire first season a couple weekends ago, and I highly recommend it.

Finished it a few days ago.

It was better than most of the tosh Netflix churns out. The first episode was particularly fun eliminating so many.

I think the fact it is no.1 in us and uk somewhat reflects the quality in general these days.

Yeah. The guy who played Gi-Hun (Lee Jung-Jae) was excellent. His acting made that show.

And I now have a full adult crush on the actress who played Sae-Byeok (Jung Ho-Yeon). She's fucking gorgeous!

Looking forward to season 2

Squid game was epic. Watched that real quick. Can’t wait for season 2.

Also Chicago Party Aunt was real good.

I do need to get on Final Space season 3. But I haven’t gotten there yet. I wasn’t too fond of the second season.

all seasons of Good witch are now available at netflix ... if you are looking for heart driven, non violence type of entertainment they have that ...
there were quite a few made for tv movies that started that series , while the show on netflix picks up after the initial movies' timeline ....

Be prepared not to laugh, season 3 gets real dark real quick, not really a comedy at all anymore unfortunately and ends with a big cliffhanger before the show is canceled!

Reminder this is the Netflix thread though, and we have this other thread, since final space was on TBS, adult swim, HBO Max:

Thank God we got Seinfeld back on streaming, now on Netflix lol

I'm in my 70s and have begun to have a hard time watching violence, especially with dramatic build ups. But I've really been enjoying watching Fargo stoned. Interesting stories, interesting characters, and just enough humor.

I’ve jumped on Altered Carbon now. 2 episodes in. Really feeling this show. It’s something different and I like the hole crap on sleeves and uploading your body. Never thought I would enjoy sci fi shit. But apparently I do. That classifies as sci fi right? Lol

I can't recommend "Midnight Mass" on Netflix enough. It's by the creator of "The Haunting at Hill House", which I enjoyed. But this was much better. It's like the best TV adaptation of a Stephen King novel I've seen, despite it being an original story from Michael Flanagan. I especially recommend it if you were raised Catholic. That adds a whole new level of terror.

Have you heard about the boom on Mizar 5?
I also thought Midnight Mass was pretty decent, def agree it adds alot if you were raised Catholic and spent plenty of time sitting in mass.

The creepy versions of mass hymnals from my childhood probably added to my enjoyment for sure.

going to be one of the best shows I watch for sure.

I don't want to spoil anything. After finishing it, I'm just kind of surprised no other horror movie has used the creepiest aspects of Catholic theology in the way this series does. I'll never look at mass the same way again. And I already thought it was pretty creepy.

What are your favourite Netflix shows (Fall 2021) to binge watch over an afternoon vape?

I just finished Turn; Washington's Spies. Next up, rewatch Marco Polo.

Turn was fun, Halt and Cath Fire was great though (these both came out about the same time airing on AMC) Seems you like the historical stuff huh!

By the way there is already a Netflix thread here:

Plus the general TV thread here (which I prefer, because Netflix originals are everywhere for everyone, but internationally there are different shows for different people in different places, like Marco Polo will be available to everyone anywhere on Netflix, however Turn may not be since it is an AMC show originally as I said) also here can talk about Hulu HBOmax Amazon Apples shows etc:
Bahaha the preview comment^ from when I was having far too much fun with @cybrguy

Also there is this newer TV thread lol

Any here waiting for the return of Stranger Things? It is coming, but it is still a wait.

https://www.eonline.com/ca/news/1308880/stranger-things-season-4-is-arriving-sooner-than-you-think

While I enjoyed the first three seasons, I'm not so optimistic about the new episodes. The big thing here, is 'how does the story explain the time passed between season 3 and season 4. Kids grow up, they change and instead of young teens, they are soon to be young adults. Season 4 will take place almost 3 years since Season 4.

Thoughts???

The Trip (2021)

Norwegian film that just showed up on Netflix.
It's sort of an action/comedy/thriller that was lots of fun!

No idea if this was already mentioned, but the jake gyllenhaal flick "the guilty" was epic. Watching a good actor perform his craft is like watching art. And he absolutely murdered it in that film.

Rarely do I take viewing advice from my 17 year old daughter.

But Atypical is brilliant.

Just finished it and our evenings are less fun now we can't enjoy a couple of episodes.

About a young man with autism and how he, his family and friends deal with the increasing challenges of the start of adult like.

Superb.....
