How does this compare with a Lightning Pen?

I don’t dislike mine, it hits hard, but I’ve always found the vapor harsh and nearing unpleasant with the stock tubes. Never combusted though.

Has anyone updated to the new firmware?

Got my replacement unit today. So far so good.

It’s definitely turned on, and I hear them for everything else BUT it reaching temp. I bought straight from Arizer so fingers crossed.

It should also be beeping when it reaches temperature like the air max no? That is also not working here.

Did my unboxing, not sure what to make of it. It’s larger for sure. The display, while color, is a much lower quality TN LCD. The new unlock thing is crazy. The top end of the housing is off center by like .3mm and there are two light nicks in the black finish. I’ll overlook that stuff on...

Does anyone else find that the ceramic is actually harder to clean? I find that I usually have to scrap the tough stains off with a wooden poker.

I get some of those thick alcohol prep pads, wrap one around a wood poker, and go to town on it on max heat. The pad scrubs way better than a qtip with that poker.

Interesting email. The issue would certainly be electronics related I’d think? Not to come across as an apologist but a batch of boards using a faulty or incorrect IC/resistor/cap wouldn’t exactly be unheard of. Or a firmware bug. I just don’t see any reason to believe anything shady is going on.

They should sell the TM2 battery cap for the original.

I’ve never observed any sort of performance changes from the alignment that you mention. So long as the screen isn’t upside down as others have mentioned, that’s just how they are.

Is the Plus worth it if you have the OG? I’m tempted with USB charging alone.

Had to reseat the haptic motor again after it stopped working. I do worry about long term reliability.

It’s back working, knock on wood. I removed the plates, repositioned the motor, then used some contact cleaner on the spring and contact just to make sure. Hopefully didn’t mess anything else up. That o ring stays in place on the top plate on mine.

Wow It lasted for less than a month before the vibration just stopped working. Speechless. Is there a fix I can do or am I going to have to ship it back?

I ended up buying some tin snips and cutting some other screens down to size.
