    Question about glass thickness

@Green420 , most vaporists prefer the smaller pieces marketed as "dab rigs" rather than more traditional bongs. For vaping you don't need, or really want, a large volume or an elaborate perc, they tend to steal flavor. These labels are somewhat arbitrary so there is plenty of overlap in...

This is exactly how I load, works great. I always use a basket screen as it gives a more even roast, less tendency to produce a ring. The cooling unit tends to get clogged up with resin too fast.

Boiling point myths and the science of flower vaporization

Nice write up, thank you for that. It's always driven me crazy how people who go on about the science of vaping talk only about temperature and ignore time and pressure.

It probably requires a machinist but I want someone to design a heat exchanger that fits down over the air intake holes and uses the incoming flow to cool down the outgoing vapor. Look at the design, it's already doing some heat exchange, it just needs to be taken to the next level. I won't...

I don't take the o-rings off any of my vapes, haven't had a problem so far. I don't do long soaks, just a couple of minutes while I'm cleaning something else and then it gets scrubbed and rinsed with water. Haven't noticed any loosening.

Any recommendations for a good 4 slot 18650 battery charger?

I have a 2 slot Nitecore that charges at 0.5 A and wouldn't buy it again. It works fine but is sooo slow. The kind of cells we use can charge at 2 A with no stress on the cell. If I was to do it again I would spend more money on a charger that can charge at least 2 cells at 2 A each (beware...

I always like a little math puzzle. The ave US price for eletricity is $15.75 / KWH. A 3000 mAh battery cell can be converted into having approx 11.1 WH of energy at the nominal 3.7 V. That means it costs approx $0.17 to charge a cell with a perfectly efficent charger, adjust that price up...

They have a 15.7 mm and 16.7 mm, which of these sizes did you pick? I purchased some 16mm silicon caps from Amazon but they are just a little too tight and not safe to push all the way on. Do you ever push these on over a rimmed basket? Can that realistically be done without the load going...

I have some rubies lying around that are meant for that or trapped between baskets in a long thick wall stem I have. Haven't been going to many movies lately (whatever happened to movies) so hadn't gotten around to it.

    High capacity portable?

A TinyMight could be good for you. The load size is adjustable but is best somewhere between 0.1 g and 0.25 g. Reloading only takes a few seconds (similar stem load procedure as the Air 2). It's fully on-demand convection. If you want to use more than 0.25 g just refill (capsules are...

I am sensitive to heat and I can use the stock stem with its cooler, but only once every couple of days. It's good for trips out, going to the movies, that sort of thing. If I use the stock stem too often I get a sore throut. At home I put every vape through a small globe with a whip. The...

Chemists (people who work in Chemistry, not at a Pharmacy) use what they call "boiling stones" for various lab work and they probably use them in Sweden too. They are just soda-lime glass beads and those are good enough for cooling (don't use soda glass for heating). See if you can find the...

    Higher percentage flower question.

In my experience it's more that it gives you bigger and better hits rather than more of them. It absolutely has more effect than lower percentage and your stash lasts longer. The volume shrinkage of the ABV compared to unvaped (prevaped ??? ) can be huge with top shelf material.

Are you saying the problem is that the wood shrinks a little and that makes the electrical connections loose? That makes sense, but I think oxidation of the aluminum is the main problem.

The battery you have isn't ideal but it probably doesn't explain the problem you are seeing, especially when it is fully charged. Follow all the de-oxidation instructions, including cleaning the battery cap and thread, before trying a recalibration.
