Thanks for posting that @ChooChooCharlie . Interesting coil in a ceramic box arrangement. I really hope they last long enough to produce a more mainstream and robust design.

That cell has gone bad. You can't really tell the health of a cell until you put it under load. With no load it can read 4.2 V and seem fine and then as soon as you load it the voltage drops way down. The better external chargers can tell when a cell is going off and will refuse to charge it...

That means internally that pack has 2 Li Ion cells in series, just like 2 cells in a Mighty. The "nominal" voltage of Li Ion cells is 3.7 V (4.2 is their max voltage). It's easier to make vapes operate at 7.4 nominal because they can get good power levels with less amperage (which burns up...

    DaVinci MIQRO

Yes, you can get sometimes get multiple good sessions out of a load. It depends on the temps, how hard you hit, and the quality of the flower. The Miqro, being a conduction vape, isn't great for this type of usage, but it can be done. If you are curious conduction vapes heat the bowl and...

DC powered electronic devices control power levels by turning the power on and off really fast. Look up "PWM power" if you are curious. Sometimes the frequency of the pulsing is in the audible range and you can hear it. It's not a problem, this gets reported for lots of vapes.

    New vaporizer for beginner

Don't believe anything you read on the TVape site, they are famous for their phony reviews that claim unknown off-brand vapes are better than the best in the market. Some of their vapes are OK (because someone else designed them), but they are all rebrands of something else with possibly some...

You can use as is or with a rimmed or unrimmed basket. I find baskets give more even air flow (TM1) than having the herb right against the sides of the stem.

The cooling unit is kind of famous for how fast it collects resin and needs cleaning. You won't find basket screens to be any more trouble for cleaning. The unrimmed kind move around a little which can be annoying, but that stops as your stem gets a little sticky. I use a WPA with rimmed...

    Discontinued Ghost MV1

Paging @JCat (author of that page). I believe you need Bluefy or some other app on the iPhone to allow the website to interact with Bluetooth and the MV1. I've been using mine without the app for years, let me know if there is anything I can help with outside of the app. Edit: I found a bunch...

Yes, it's the most powerful 18650 made and will work anywhere an 18650 fits. It's a little more expensive per unit of capacity than some other cells but it's easier (and safest) if you just use these everywhere.

The load (heater in a vape) determines the current draw, not the power source. If you put a 2 A cell in a TM that draws 15 - 20 A bad things will happen. The TM regulates the power based on the temp setting, not the cell. Edit: In theory, as the voltage of an overstressed cell drops the TM...

Overdrawing from a cell can make it hot, a huge overdraw and it becomes very very hot. Yes, in the most extreme case it is a fire risk.

It's an unlabelled Li Ion pouch cell like you find in lots of consumer electronics. The (former) Vape Critic did a partial tear down video.

I would bet heavily that there is a problem in the electrical path of your vape. It's not the battery cell, cell's can be bad but they are virtually never inconsistent (at a particular voltage level and load). Something needs to be corrected at the battery connection or the strip that...

I stir occasionally, maybe 1 in 10? Just to see if it improves anything, it doesn't, at least not by much. I wrap my index finger around the top of the bowl to make a cup and stir inside that. Very little spills past the finger. Gently compress it back down and it stays. I never use a top...

So, a cap on the end so nothing can fall out? Most people use a rimmed basket for that. I've seen people who've pushed the basket partially back up towards the rim to make the whole thing flatter. Other types of screen will be harder to handle and take up more space. If you want the herb...

I haven't seen any reports of that but many have trapped glass or ruby 3-4 mm beads inside the cooling unit. It's reported to cool better and gunk up slower than the default.

I hope the design isn't trying to use Li Ion cells as a heat sink, that would be crazy. Li Ion cells should never be allowed to exceed 60 C (140 F) which is about the temperature of hot water out of the tap. If the cell feels like it will burn skin it's way way too hot.
