I’m guessing the answer is yes, but, do the capsules bring some conduction to the TM2? And do you feel it’s more of a conduction high when compared to no capsules?

I think it's pretty minimal tbh.
You'll have to take some back to back hits before the capsule is at "vaping temperature" and by that time i would expect the herb to be almost extracted. And to reload you'll have to let the capsule cool down again so you're back where you started... LoL
At least, that what is think, i'm not sure since i never tried the capsule that came with my PH.

Edit: @Shit Snacks beat me to it, the post appeared when i hit send...
At least we seem to agree ;)

In a certain sense yes, it brings some (minimal) conduction. But it primarily takes away a lot of airflow. The biggest advantage is with the smallest quantities, where you get an even extraction, but more in the range up to 0.02g.

Fair warning, I only use the titanium caps because for my TM use case the capsules are more important than getting the best vape quality possible. Lots of people feel the way Snax does. So while I haven't directly loaded it too much into the stem, I can say that even with the dosing caps it feels like a convection vape. But depending on your ocd level they keep the vape ridiculously clean. It always bugged me that i ended up with green specks around the edge of the bowl, and with the caps the abv is a nice even roast. there is nothing to even brush out of the caps.

Is that coiled metallic foil as a cooling unit?

It's not something I would try as I prefer no metal in the vapour path. I'm interested to know how you keep the gaps in the spiral though, nicely done!

yes, it's a rolled strip of offset aluminum foil.
it was a quick thought, I just thought of rolling it around a nail, adjusting it a bit and thanks to the springiness it creates gaps by itself.
first of all I was interested in whether the rolled foil would cool down with this labyrinth and at the same time not increase the air resistance. (the balls in the gvb mouthpiece cause me higher air resistance and after two uses they also stuck together and the air resistance is even greater. in addition, I was uncomfortable, when drawing, the balls hit my body-blocking my breath.)
upgravline was the best, but still too warm compared to venty at the same temperature.
secondly I was interested in the extension, which logically should also contribute to the cooling and at the same time not having to pull a long fragile hook.
I'm trying this for the first day and it's definitely colder than anything I've tried to use there so far.
the taste is fine. the foil almost doesn't heat up, so I don't know if it can significantly affect the taste. definitely not in contact with the herb, it is quite far from the heater... aren't the capsules also made of aluminum?
I will test more...
I will try paper, it is eco, but the question is whether it will cool better.
research good luck

Interesting, but in my experience glass and metal are not good partners, unless there’s enough room for expansion of both from the heat, glass is always the loser, hate that popping sound when the glass breaks. An alternative would be to have wider gap and using orings to absorb the expansion.
I've only tried it at my favorite temperature for all vaporizers, which is 180 degrees Celsius, and the foil barely warmed up.
But it's true that I'll do about three or four rather short puffs at this temperature and then turn it off. If it were in company, it would probably start to heat up more.

I own this one and wouldn't recommend it. It isn't sufficiently polished to use it comfortably as a drip tip and it doesn't fit smoothly if used as a 14mm adapter.
Thanks, could you tell me does it get hot when used with a Titanstem?

The drip tip itself?

On demand mode set to 8.
Titanium stem, TM rimmed basket sieve, cooling unit and drip tip/14mm adapter.
Nope, doesn't heat up at all.

FYI the unpolished feeling in my lips hasn't been as bad as I remembered it. I still prefer the glass drip tip though.

I find the Storz and Bickel capsules definitely bring a bit of conduction...I don't use the TM capsules they don't hit as well.

yep that what I hear about them! if I'd know that vgoodiez makes ti s&b caps I would have tried them first and would probably be using them today! I just couldn't handle the aluminum regardless of airflow. I still have it in mind to get some ti s&b caps to try sometime but at $40 for 5 I will wait until some sort of sale

Here's my advice about the S&B capsules. It is very easy to push the stem in with sufficient force to press the screen out of its position down towards the heater.

On an OG TM that can cause a short across the heater, which would probably not be good. The TM2 has another screen above the heater to prevent that.

…or perhaps combustion of material if not a complete short. Way back when with my OG TM, I accidentally dislodged the screen above the heater and it landed on it causing a combusted load (the taste was less than thrilling - yuck).

I’m getting closer to ending my weekslong hiatus/T-break (7 weeks but who’s counting? :( ). SOON I’ll be reacquainted with my TMs - can’t wait! :peace:

Congrats. I really should be doing that as well. I could save soooo much money. But that combination of a TM2 and the tinymigh.t_bowl is just soooo much fun. Eventually ...
It was for occupational purposes, I’ll leave it at that. Related to that I’ll be making a long-distance move (from a legal state to a medical-only state, for now though it should go legal soon) - and I’ll need to carefully pack my TMs, other vapes and accessories. I’m having a moving company move me and I don’t want them touching any of that stuff, LOL. My 18650s are all charged up and ready for my partaking resumption soon. PH TM2 will lead off followed by my OG TM. I love them both above and beyond my other vapes!! :peace:
