Comparison threads should be made in Ask FC. As I mentioned earlier, some comparison between vapes is inevitable in the vape specific threads, but we discourage too much of this type of discussion in vape specific threads to keep the threads on topic and avoid OT derails.

I kept the cap on my Solo attached and covering the heater whenever I wasn't using it. One day I went to use my Solo and took it off, and really took it off. It broke at the nub and no longer hangs from the lid. For a long time I feared losing it because I wanted to keep everything clean, but I've come to not care about it at all. I keep my gong stem on it when I put it away to keep something in the oven and stay low profile. The Air stems are more low profile than the stock Solo stems.

The door that covers the heating element is not replaceable so don't lose it! I think I will take it off rather than lose it in the wild. Shit, part of the Air is not perfect. hehe ;)

Then what makes you sure if you take it off you can put it back? Isn't that replacement?

I'm making a rash assumption (yeah, I know......) it's the same scheme as on Solo. That is it rides on a barbed shaft molded into the bottom of it. Easy to see inside the Solo cap. I've removed several on Solos and put a few back on. To put it back you need to pull the shaft past the barbs from the bottom. Only with Air you can't get to the bottom. I bet that's the rub? Just a guess, but I'll give odds........

If you have a Solo, try it there?

I get all hyped up with you chaps over the air, then they launch it months and months after you over in the 'mother land', so frustrating!

Hey, don't blame us Yanks (should that be 'we Yanks' or just 'us'?), the Cannuks done done it. Blame them, we do.

Hopefully soon the shops will be awash with Airs for your enjoyment. Hopefully you have other vapes to console you until then?

Regards,

I've been using my bent solo stem the last few days with my Air. The small Air tubes are nice but I prefer the solo stems over anything else.

I feel like the flavor doesn't taper off nearly as fast as with the solo, but at the same time, there is so much vapor production at the lowest 3 temps, that I don't even bother with the 2 highest temps despite usually being a high temp vaper. I prefer the larger size of the bigger glass tube and it hits really really nicely.

Still having a great time recently sharing my Air with friends. it seems to be more group friendly than a solo IMO. everyone can hit it effortlessly, i don't need to explain to anyone how to hit it. this is no question a massive improvement off the solo!!!

thats so funny cuz thats exactly the first and only negative i noticed (when it happened on my video, i was definitely taken off guard & i basically considered the cap as good as gone at that point because i would be taking this out and about with me & i lose enough stuff already...). when the stem is inserted, i might try to make a habit of actually taking the cap off and keeping it in my pocket (although this seems like a way i would lose it also).

sorry for the comparison, but my solo is like an old whore that just needs to retire...she has gained a lot of experience throughout her career & is excellent at her job, but now her oven is too loose and stems just drop out of her due to having a bit too much fun in life. i really love the resistance (once it gets warmed up) of the air and i hope it actually stays at this level...the most satisfying push/pull in/out of the oven chamber ever.

if the air were to get loose, that would be the only other negative i can think of...(of course, i have yet to use it, so lets hope the negatives list stays right there)...

@exit, that's relevant for the social types, so HOW is it easier to use, what's the difference, really?

The higher temps work better for pain.

It seems the higher temp fetches the more sedating compounds, right? That's especially Indica territory too. But what I've found is that the Diesel strains that work best on my sciatica (lower back based) do so without requiring the upper temp sedation, so I get relief, my lower back and legs get heavy, even on the first tokes, that are otherwise more "up", no sedation. And I've had the analgesia get dramatically counteracted by following up with a different sativa, say a Red Congolese. The sativa up is cumulative, but the pain returns. So it's a different mechanism.

Strains that do this for me are e.g. Original Diesel, Sour Diesel etc, and I imagine every person has to find the most effective strain that way, but it's a lucky find when you do find it ...

Just thought I would report that the top vented plastic cap does indeed screw off.

Also my NCR18650B's work perfectly so far!

Looks like its assembled the usual Arizer style with Philips screws and easily removed parts. GREAT
Is there really any need for the cap? I could live without it.

I got the double yellow my first night using it. My vape was both very very hot from using it a long time and low on battery+plugged-in. So I'm unsure if it was one of those, or both, that's responsible for the double yellow flashing lights.

Yup I was thinking the same thing, it was either too hot, too low, or a combo of both.

I'm doing whole sessions on White. Everyone is loving the Air over here. Especially ease of loading and cleaning.

Am i the only one who couldn't wait for the price to drop again? :mental:

I ordered a Black Air at full price, with a black sleeve and 2 extra batteries for $307.96 shipped. :cuss:

I'm sure i will order another Air as a backup. As soon as the price drops again. I already sold my brand new backup Solo to a friend. To help fund the cost of the Air. But i still have to sell my used Solo first. before i buy a backup Air. ( Wife's Rules ) :ugh:

I wish Arizer had an external charger already.

I personally liked the size of the dual battery Tenergy charger from the T1. I probably would of already ordered the black dual Tenergy charger OF posted a few pages back.

But I'm patiently trying to wait and see what Arizer releases. :bang:

I'm so excited that i need my Solo to calm me down. :D

Signature is required. They will take it. @CarolKing mentioned leaving a note on your arizer order form special instructions to leave in a designated spot. But be sure it's not gunna get snagged, I doubt they'd send another, since you opted out of the signature.

Noticed a bit of a design flaw this morning. If you're planning on buying multiple batteries to swap out for long, on-the-go sessions...you might not want to buy a colored skin. It covers the battery compartment and so far has been very tricky getting off. Especially when the skins been on there for days.

It's possible the skin is easily removed by a certain motion, but I'm not seeing it. So far I've just pressed really hard on the top part of the vape, but this is where the top silicone latch is. Doesn't feel kosher.

edit: the latch for my charger port also gets easily caught on the skin, when removing it in the direction you need to move it in to reveal the battery compartment.

@Ratchett do you think it's possible you could create your own sleeve/condom for the air? One that addresses issues like the one @SD_haze mentioned ?

They'll take it (of course). "Signature required" means exactly that. They need a signature on their form, here a 'yellow chit'.

You think if I lefta note on my mailbox they would leave it ?I've done that before but not for something out of country

No. It needs to be on their form so they can scan it on hand scanners to clear their 'paperwork'.

If you're not there they will leave the 'chit' instead. You need to sign your name on the first line, print it on the second and write the address on the third to get the package. If they don't catch you the chit goes in with the mail (typically lost in the junk mail), the package goes to your local PO to 'the cage' to wait with t he rest of the packages). They usually hold it about two weeks before returning (or in cases like this, scrapped) although I've had stuff go back in two days.

It's the same chit that you'd be signing to get the package if you were there. Sometimes it lists the addressee part, sometimes they just fill in the tracking number.

The computer tracking should change and show 'attempted deliver' or something like that, but that can take a day or so to update.

Bottom line is you'll need to go down to the local PO for your zip code, stand in line, and sign for it there.

A hassle, but workable. And IMO worth it.......

Good luck.

Noticed a bit of a design flaw this morning. If you're planning on buying multiple batteries to swap out for long, on-the-go sessions...you might not want to buy a colored skin.

(Ignoring the obvious straight line) how about slicing the skin into two pieces at the seam between cap and body? That is leave it in place and take the bottom 3/8 inch or so off with t he cap?
