XVape XLUX ROFFU

Thanks.
Have you ever used the Roffu without the spiral cooling piece and gasket?
I just realized it is possible to run the mouthpiece without that piece.
I would try this myself right now but won't be able to vape again for another almost 24 hours...
I'm wondering if there are flavor gains to be had...
I agree with Les about the custom glass from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd (Jo_DA Glass).
And its not super pricey, at about 40 bucks.

But, the in-between solution is the Roffu glass mp. When using that, you don't use the spiral cooler, and you have two choices. You can orient the mp directly over the chamber, for a very direct connection, as Les mentioned, or use it offset, which is about as cool as the std mp, but gives a nice glass tube for the mouthpiece itself. And, of course, it is also a wpa...so a whole other range of use patterns available there.

Seems like a dumb question but has anyone tried replacing the glass tube in the WPA with a different stem? Something with better cooling like a hula stem or more durable like my revolve?
A couple pages back, it looked like someone did.

I like to tinker/upgrade stuff, but i try to stay away from drilling/modifying stock pieces of whatever. It looked like they drilled it out to put a different mouthpiece in.

Yikes, maybe not then. Just wanted a cool mouthpiece that isn't likely to break :(

Yup, works great. See link below: POST #823

Thanks, looks perfect, and I've just checked, my 11mm V1 glass sleeve fits my V2 Revolve. Would I still need the chamber screen in for loose herb if the Revolve has it's own screens installed?

Don’t get me wrong. It looked ok and looked functional.

If you want a custom MP, i would talk to @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd …he makes them. And they all look excellent. They have had great reviews here.

I never ended up getting one from him because i like the stock WPA.
It's more the durability and cooling that I'll miss from the revolve. If others are fitting bent hula stems and the revolve's glass tube in then I'll pull the trigger for 420 and then see if i can get a metal revolve body that's thin enough to fit the roffu

You can still use the wire screen that goes in the Roffu silicone GASKET. I’m only using the SS capsules/pods, with the Delta3D Roffu loading tray. So I don’t use any Roffu screens, I keep the Revolve wire screen in the glass stem to catch anything that might come through the pod, but it’s probably not needed.

Very nice. I'm about 20 minutes from pulling the trigger and getting a roffu on a 420 deal but I'm not sure if the dosing caps for this one are smaller than the Airvape Legacy Pro's and if the loss of concentrate mode/lifetime warranty is worth it

I will be honest, it is a nice little device. I literally never take it apart as I use the caps in it. Stays pretty clean.

I dont think you’ll be disappointed. As far as portables go….this is where i am staying unless someone talks me into a Tm2…..this site is the DEVIL!😂

I always use the Caps also. Cleaning is a breeze with them. I also use the glass chamber and no screens at all to get the best flavor.

No idea, but I’d use the company’s pods, as they are specifically designed to fit in the load tube, no air loss.

Unfortunately both the official caps and loading tray aren't available in the UK :( I'll have to use fury edge caps and get a loader for those. Pulled the trigger and bought the roffu though, thank you guys for the advice

Has anyone had issues with their charging port? Last night when I hooked it up to charge the green battery image popped up like normal, then after about three up and downs on the charge level it stops says "no battery" and cuts off. I've tried different batteries, charging cables and power supplies all with the same results. When I charge the battery on another charger the vape preforms good as ever.

Referring to the exploded view in the manual. The upper assembly consists of four parts and a filter. The Zirconia Mouthpiece followed by a Silicone Part, Zirconia Cooling Airflow Box and then the Cooling Cap in that order. I can separate it into two pieces by pulling them apart to access the filter. But the top three come off as a unit. How do you separate the upper three components? I tried pulling with a light force but I couldn't get it apart. Do I need a tiny screwdriver to pry it apart?

Why would it be necessary to take it apart? I can see the need if one were to replace the Cooling Box.

Just pull on the spiral while gripping the sides of the MP. If your unit has been used a bit there may be a little vapor residue built up making it stick so try running the unit for a couple of dry puffs to heat things up and make disassembly easier.

Does POTV have screens that are similar to the DDave ones that I linked earlier?

If I'm ordering the bucket screens from POTV, I'd rather just have everything in one order....rather than doing two separate small orders from different places.

If you want a small mesh screen that will replace the metal screen in the grommet the Xmax V2 mouthpiece screen is the same size and is available @ POTV in pack with the V2 bowl screens, it’s the smaller screen and you get 2 of each.

The Ti Revolve stem doesn’t work as they don’t seal because of indentations at the bottom of the stem, the glass stems work, but cooling is limited. Unless you microdose or use on demand for a few pulls, the cooling of the DV stems is used up after few pulls, dimpled or beaded glass DV stems work good in session mode ie: DV BB6/9, XL hulas

I disagree on that statement. The Resolve vortex in the glass stem, inserted in a direct path to the Roffu oven, no gasket screen COOLS every hit, I only use session mode, as I don’t need to hold the button, but I often turn it off before the session times out.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. As much as I wanted the Revolves to work from my use in session mode it doesn’t cool after 10 pulls and the glass almost too hot to touch with the mp very hot even Gen 2 and my usual start temp is 328*F. Even when using a DV tip I find the Revolve’s stem gets hot, glass cooler than ti, but the vapor is cool, if you do more than 5 heats the vapor is getting hotter.

I think our usage is the difference. I use my Roffu with pods/capsules, and use the session mode more like on demand. So in my case the heat does not build up as you described in your use. I don’t ever get 10 pulls (decent) out of a pod, or do 5 heat cycles in succession.

My experience is similar. I use session mode -- but always stop after a few (3-5) hits. I use the WPA and capsules, and heat is NEVER an issue.

Lower temps (never over 180c/355 unless on a bong myself) and the WPA/glass mouthpiece fitted directly over the cooling unit (CU) cuts out most of the black silicon and improve flavor noticeably when the unit is brand new. The silicon seems to fully cure with age and becomes less of a problem. I sped the process by airing the silicon in the sun on a window sill for a few days, others had good results from oven baking for a few hours with low heat (95c/200f max)
Gotcha! Yes, dialing down the temp did bring the terps. My unit needs to be in the 340's to get it done. Even the 350's is skipping right past it and extracting quickly. If I start the sesh in the 370's it tastes like I'm doing a 1-hitter bowl.
