hello! i think you came in a great time to purchase, because SC3+ cores available now, it's perfect for low tolerance to THC people... I enjoyed it a lot
there were times when SC3+ wasn't available in the site

Second the SC3+. Mine gives me the power and airflow of the Alpha while using my stems for the SC3, which I also really like and come to use more lately. They’re all great and taste is so gooood! I am not forgetting my Alpha dogs - Alpha + performance is stellar and it is one of my rare vapes I have not combusted with! I know that units behave differently but my Alpha - from the drop before the recent one, seems to behave hotter than my Alpha+, or maybe it is the wide open airflow of the Alpha+ that diffuses the heat more than the Alpha? Anyway as @GoldenBud says, yes great times to get a dog.

Some will argue one particular heating core over another. I will say it depends on you and what you want out of a vape session in a given moment. I have SC3, SC3+, ACXL, and Aplha units. They all get me where I need to be and are all steady and reliable. I honestly choose based on what wood appeals to me now, and with being able to custom select different heaters now, it’s even easier to make a decision. There’s always something on the site that appeals to me and I have to force myself to stay away from the site for awhile once I’ve bought another. But I’m failing miserably and I keep adding more Dogs.

i enjoy low temp but mainly like going through a wpa at higher temp for nice solid vape bong hits, seen alot of people talking this up for that style i dont even understand the concept isnt it just an enail ? The vape im mentioning is the flowerpot ball 2 ??

In regards to getting a new dog im pretty keen have one in the cart already just waiting to pulll the trigger haha

Hello, totally new user here but I have skimmed through a lot of the threads. I have a few questions for experienced underdog users. I am coming from an e nano and wanted something that could accommodate more herb, so I was looking mainly at the XL and Alpha. I have seen mixed reviews on the XL and nothing but fantastic reviews on the underdog, so I've decided that a UD will be my next purchase.
  1. What size approx. would the Alpha stem vs E nano vs SC3+? Ex: 2x or 3x bowl size increase over the e nano?
  2. Does the SC3+ have a larger bowl size that the e nano? If so that may be an option as well
  3. I am usually hitting my log dry 99% of the time, what are the best stems, should I purchase the SS, Nylon and Glass, etc?
Any help would be seriously appreciated, thanks!

1/2. Alpha bowl is a 1/2 inch diameter stem, sc3+/enano bowl is a 3/8ths inch diameter stem (theyre the same size).
3. Glass direct draw stem with dimples is my fave direct draw method for all logs, hits super smooth amd flavorful and giant clouds.

Thank you, very much appreciated! I've been trying to figure out the size difference in the stems for a while. So definitely Alpha for me.

You also can create an even bigger bowl with your basket placement on the glass DD, but the taller that is, the more likely you have to stir between hits. Well, if you sip like I do. Big lung busting sessions are not likely possible for my lungs--besides, I learned to vape by sipping slowly on a Magic Flight, and sipping slow and long on my V3, and my IQ2 (on lowest air flow setting). My first log, a Woodscents + Dynavap tips just didn't seem big/wide enough. I bought a UD Alpha X when I didn't feel my Woodscents Dynatips were big enough, and when I didn't think my V3 was big enough. I immediately deepened Dave's screen placement...because you can! But now I try to use Dave-set baskets with his medium-to large sized bowl. Nice to have so much customization, though.

BTW @underdog @underdogette My Cherry Purple Haze is sooo huge (but it still fits my hand). I love having a tiny part of log vape history!

So far I've only had an og e nano but the larger bowl size is exactly up my alley. My tolerance is pretty high, I love the nano and log style vapes have become my favorite type,l of vape. But I would really like to pack 2-3 instead of 7-8 bowls each session, so hoping the alpha is perfect for my needs. I have also looked into Ed's and will most likely get one eventually, but the small size is what pushed me toward an UD.

I think there are lots of reasons to choose one log over another, and bowl size is a fine one. Although I tend to use my logs inverted these days in a WPA, with an adjustable bowl size. You might find this thread helpful:

I actually read that a few months ago and that helped me so much. FC is about the best source I have as a novice vape user. Smoked for almost 30 years before switching over about 8-9 months ago and feel like I've really been missing out. Out of every vape I've tried the log style is my favorite. The nano I bought second hand (very recently too) was damaged in a drunken man vs stairs accident when I allowed my brother in law to borrow it. So now in the market and I've heard nothing but great things about UD, my initial email interaction with them was great when I had a few questions.

Jerry showed us the smaller, very log-like Minivap a few weeks back. So interesting, but without the beautiful wood I became obsessed about when buying Wood stems for my Dynas. Anyway, that sounds like a good forum for log vapes.

Bummer about the drunken loss, @StoneyBeached ! I'd be so mad, trying not to yell at anyone. I've had my share of drunk accidents, but not with weed--there's a reason it puts you in the couch--to keep you and your vapes safe.

@Tai Sun did you pull the trigger? If so, which did you get?

You must have purchased one of the locusts? Live edge is so dynamic.

@Tai Sun Oh, that's cool--UD folks are great to buy from. I'm tapped out from xmas, but I'm barely learning how the Cherry UD works
I believe it was the very first live edge FYT, i keep it by my MyrtleScents WoodScents. I gifted away my PurpleDayz so I had to have two special logs to take it’s place. Log vapes are perfect because you can use very little material or you can use bigger bowls. I’ve had a few purchases from Underdog and Underdogette, not once have I felt like I overpaid for what I received.

OH, i think maybe you misunderstood. I have owned multiple UDs but a long time ago had to sell one and then my original was stolen. have been out of the vape scene for a while due to mainly those reasons and am unable work due to a disability.

However maybe i might start having to go to church because I think I may be able to obtain one a lot sooner !

Will keep everyone posted ! Aswell as more posts around here in general thanks communityl
