Gone all out on the balls....😂

Made a few of these now for backups. Actually got it nailed. No more stress fractures or tool marks. Push the stem into a tub of sand, compact it down hard and use beeswax on a ball end dab tool to stop it sticking. Blowtorch and a gentle push while turning the dabtool back and forth.

25x 6mm ruby balls in this one. The little ball cartridge I made before is an excellent cooler but a bitch to clean when bits of AVB get up in it. Might be overkill in the balls but draw resistance is still really free so why not...

Total cost per stem is about £15. Mostly the ruby balls tbh. Even in bulk they're at least 40-50p each. Still for a glass stem with 25 ruby balls in it that's not too shabby. Literally takes 5 minutes to make tops.

They stack in threes perfectly inside this stem, so I get 8 rows of three with a single ball on top, then three nipples trap them in place around the top ball. Forces the air round them for maximum contact.

Now that’s a nice diy job, well done! I was looking at these beads for the color, but pricey.

Here’s those Grav mouthpieces I ordered, decent glass imo, plus let’s me mix in other stems.

Thanks!! Been meaning to see exactly what the glass joint mouthpiece does. Was very excited when I got my Grav blunt with grommet but I ended up not liking it with my TM so I slapped it on my FW7 which I like it better for. I'm trying to get a custom Elev8r wand for my FW so it was nice I was able to see if I liked it or not first. What's the mouthpiece on the TM2 in the second pic, I think I'd like the wide mouth better on my TM? And are those two in the first pic flat ended, or is it just an illusion?

The glass piece from the second pic in my tm is this.
In the first pic, the two in the middle are round hose types ends, wish they were flat mps that would be nice….

I see why the grommet mp isn’t for everyone with its smaller mp hole. I actually like the restriction it creates, gives me at least the perception of more control over my hits.

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
I could also say the same for the sellers.....some of those postage costs are never right for a piece of glass that weighs nothing...if they can't be assed to sort their postage costs on their websites then they are limiting the business they get.

Except I say you'd be wrong, because I already explained, the website is having problems giving accurate shipping rates internationally, this has been a problem with this provider at least with covid etc and GVB even started paying higher fee to them to get the more accurate rates and still hasn't fixed the problem unfortunately... So actually putting in quite a bit of effort to resolve the problem, it just sounds like you can't be assed to send a quick message instead of coming here to post several complaints, so you can order the item with the proper postage... You are limiting what aftermarket stems you can get, is what I say again

i have done these things already. Thus my mild frustration with the whole thing
Yeah so that's exactly why you should contact for warranty then as said here:
Sorry, missed that. I would definitely send it back in for service covered by the warranty. I've never heard of him refusing anyone service.
I also haven't really heard of anyone having to pay the $75... Just send it in, clearly something is wrong, it sucks but that's life

Thanks for the shoutout @Shit Snacks

Don't know if this has been posted here but I picked up these screens for my TM stems

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2837266777...COpuPHgTPi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

They are a little big but I cut the side at a slight angle which makes them adjustable. They are super thick and stiff
Those are awesome screens, that's what I use in your glass vapes so I can use a straight tube instead of one with dimples keeping the screen in place. Sometimes all glass airpaths are a little much for me in the flavor department so I also cut a slit in it and stuffed it down the tube but with a little piece of a concentrate pad inside of it to help collect some reclaim and "dirtying" up the flavor a little bit. For my needs they're pretty much my most customizable screen I own, I can find a use for them in several vapes I have. They don't ship to where I live so it was a 6 month wait to finally get them in my hands......wish I knew how awesome they'd be, I would've ordered more.

@vapeape77 : Ok here we go with the optical illusion again, the one you linked sure as heck looks flat, while this one seems round.............no?

Thank you for sharing your photos. I went to Grav and ordered. When I smoked I used their stuff all the time. I used Helix...super great. Anyway, thanks. I appreciated it.

Yeah I think you could probably fit one of those helix on a stem with the rubber attachment. Seems to be a cheap simple solution to a common problem. I have set one aside for larger attachments like the wpa in pic, as the rubber obviously stretches over time and won’t work on the smaller glass pieces.

Are the v2 dosing caps worth it? I’ve read some people saying it kinds of ruin the vapor and it’s not worth it at all.
I received my TM2 two weeks ago.
Awesome vape and I have a little experience with these famous V2.
I ordered two for science lol, and to see if it would be suitable for outdoor use exclusively!
Coming from a P80 myself, the TM2 is perfect for outdoor use.
And these V2s would logically be a very good setup for stealth and quickly loading a stem effortlessly. Their main use case in my opinion.
It works for what I quoted above, but it's not worth it if you're using your TM2 at home sir.
Overall I'm very disappointed and if it's to keep your stems cleaner it's not worth it either.
Logically these V2 will accumulate resin quickly, and will be quite annoying to wash I suppose.

For the taste there is clearly a sacrifice to be made lol, and I found that I had to increase the temperature much more than usual (9-10) to obtain a dark brown ABV, and well extracted as "usual".
So, these dosing caps make the TM2 feel like a middle-class vaporizer 😂.
Completely destroys clean convection taste and clouds are noticeably smaller.

It's a small waste of money. And these V2 suffer from a manufacturing defect, are narrow compared to the stems.
It just doesn't seem to be effectively optimal for a convection vape like the TM2.
The TM2 is still easy to pack with the help of a container containing the weed already ground for an outdoor use case 👍

Hope this helped you, and can save you a few dollars 😂😂

...someone on Etsy never seen them before is making leather sleeves using the Tinymight logo on it. I know you are not allowed to do that only if permission was given...anyway, I read a really bad review...so be cautious.

I recently bought a glass stem for my Tinymight that never arrived. I was robbed. I am forced to buy from other sites than my usual ones because it seems that EVERY site has NO stock on ANYTHING! Frustrating. I go buy a stem, gone. I finally buy a stem I get ripped off.

Amen! You're a few days ahead of me and your post helps me feel like I'm not the only one who isn't in love with the TM2 as my new DD. Re sacrificing taste: I'm seeing the same tradeoff between flavor and effects. And at the higher temp needed for effects I have to use water that decreases the flavor. Re resin in the stems: it's more cleaning in a week than I'd do in a month on the Mighty. If I'd known it was going to be "just" a portable, I'd have passed and saved the $500+ I spent on the TM2 + glass + a coarse grinder. Bottom line after 10 days: it's not better than my Mighty overall, just different. Actually, since I'm having to run the TM2 through water, it's not much more portable than the Mighty. So I keep reading FC and Reddit, hoping to find tricks I haven't learned yet.

Well, I did it. I placed an order with Tinymight today. Their system rejected two credit card numbers and then worked with the first card tried the second time.
I did not envision being able to buy one because I am living in Uruguay where I'd have to pay 60% duty on the purchase price, but can't import anything costing more than $200 US anyway, and no vaporizers at all.

However, my wife decided to visit her mother in the States, traveling with an empty suitcase. She will visit a friend to whom all is shipped.
Now I am trying to also order batteries, glass, and other items to enhance the experience and bring some assurance that I will still have (hard to get here) stems when I break the first.
I have been doing good and haven't broken a Solo stem for two years.

I sprung for the full package to get the five extra stems, 55 & 80 mm, 3-D long cooling, WPA, and the bubbler. Other extra items will be welcome as well.
From Grav I will get the Upline Taster, Octotaster and a mouthpiece (too bad their glass joints aren't 16 mm glass).
Amazon is supplying 4 and 6 mm quartz and ruby balls.

I appreciate all the information, ideas and perhaps feedback from the forum.

Personally I love my TM2 me 😂.
My criticism concerns only these V2.
I vaped for a year and a half with a P80 and the TM2 is a game changer for outdoor use unlike the P80 which is extremely fragile. A fall on hard ground and it's over lol.
Actually my very first vaporizer before the P80 was a Mighty. I don't really count it in my experience because I only keep them for 5 days lol
It's too big, very ugly and really not portable if you don't carry a bag around your shoulder. And the components of this outdated device do not inspire confidence in me personally.
The TM2 fits in my pocket and with the original stem it's very stealthy, unlike this whale from Mighty 😂.
For outdoors
I use a small container to store my ground weed and easily load my stem with the CU but without a basket, inhale to load, and blow into the stem when done to get rid of the weed.
Loading is easier than with a Mighty this way.

In terms of flavors I remember that the Mighty is less good in flavors than the TM2 and the production of vapor superior also on the TM2.
I am very sensitive to the heat of vapor, and I vape outdoors between 2 and 5 maximum! This is my limit. Beyond that I cough hard with the original stem.
It's really not pleasant.
At home I use it with the only piece of water I currently have (a big update is coming hahaha) dry and through water.
It works relatively well, but I'm sure with a higher quality model, I would enjoy my TM2 even more.
For more portable use at home, I opted for two quality JHooks.
It will be superior to any of these bead filled stems for higher temperature use.
For smaller stems to maximize my outdoor use with the CU or without it, I'm still looking for the right setup for me.

I hope you find the right configuration for you, to enjoy your TM2 more.
500 dollars is an investment and at this price you can have a superior configuration with a plug-in vaporizer in my opinion.
But the investment is worth it thanks to the versatility of this device. And he hits hard lol
👍

Nice looking stem! Do you put them through an annealing process after you form the dimples?
