The post is way back and it was made by me . I can fish it if you like ,but here is a print of an insta conversation.
Edited:
@Djsleepy confirmed that too...:hmm:
Thank you guys ! So it's sure I did read it and forgot... sorry
Must've been distracted by Jimi hitting the TM
Sure ! Thanks for the excuse 😅
The TM2 battery cap will fit the OG unit if you file the nub on the underside down to match the height of the nub on the OG battery cap (only about 1mm would be needed). The only concern if it’s not filed down is it ‘could’ compress the negative terminal spring more than it’s intended.
On my TM the TM2 battery cap just makes contact with the battery after half a turn and i can go a bit more than a 1/4 turn more without much force then it's locked. Same feeling than with the OG that doesn't sits flush with the rest of the unit with less turn so probably less secure.
the only version I would be concerned to get would be the very first one that didn't have battery polarity protection or calibration function. My model from may 20 has had those fixes. The latest version will have a serial number.
The board allowing calibration and LED stealth mode was implemented around late January 2020. My TM from Nov 2019 was in RMA at that time and the maker told me he was waiting for the new boards to update my unit, that I got back early February 2020.
In short
OG TM - No temp calibration , No colorful leds
1.5 TM - Temp calibration , Colorful leds, better reliability
Except there are ones in between that have temp calibration and colorful LEDs... Does not need to be a 1.5, what cheebs said
My OG TM has calibration and only red LED except in calibration mode.
For me 1.5 TM would essentially be - new German board, better fit and finish, serial number ?

Here it is direct from TM on why not to swap battery lids

Hi, the battery lid doesn't usually sit correctly on most og units as the TM2 wooden body a bit taller and that's why the new lid also comes deeper inside to make contact with the battery. In og model the TM2 lid tries usually push the battery deeper than necessary when fully screwed in, and flatten the spring of battery. And also in the og model lid the shape is designed to mechanically lower the chances of wrongly oriented battery form making a contact with it, the Tm2 lid won't offer this protection.
Noted ! Thank you !

Mine arrived! Less than 4 days from Dr Vap in France (who listened to my request for extra padding, they double boxed it!)

Looks like I got really lucky on the grain and color! Beautiful fit and finish, slight smell in there, from the machining I think, gave it a quick clean of the body and there is black oils etc coming from the inner threading in particular... Disassembled and did quick iso swab of the metals, now letting it sit to air out, will soak and clean the other parts, plus do burn offs before taking it for maiden voyage (maybe tonight latest tomorrow)
May I ask if your on the east coast or west coast? Im a little intrigued cause I also recently placed an order with dr vapor France and I’m in Florida and with the hurricane and all I wanna see about how long I’m looking at with weather delays

TM mistakenly sent me two TM2s in two separate packages. I checked and I only ordered one (I was placing my order on my phone in the middle of a work meeting due to the timing of the release and at first I said to myself, crap I order two by mistake) and I checked my credit card statement and they only charged me for one. They did send me two tracking numbers with the same Order ID in separate emails, but I didn't notice until I looked after I got the second unit. I just sent them an email to see how they want to handle. I have to admit that for a second I considered just keeping the second one, but that didn't seem right. They are a relatively small company and I would have felt guilty when I used my TM2 if I didn't tell them and ask how they wanted to address the mistake.

I see the TM2 being my go to vape for a long time, while the improvements seemed minor when I first heard about them, they added up to make the TM2 noticeably better than the original (and that is saying a lot).

So they got back to me, I am going to mail it to them and they will reimburse me for the shipping. They were thankful for me reaching out.
Finally worked it out with TM, it took them a bit to get me the shipping info (I am sure they are super busy with getting TM2s out) and I sent the extra TM2 to VGoodiez as they requested on Saturday. They are sending me a free portable bubbler and gave me $30 credit to use in the future. I was not expecting anything from them other than at most the shipping ($10), but I thought they were very generous. They are experimenting using Deutsche post postal package delivery which is much cheaper than the other shipping options when sending non-vaporizer stuff (i.e., accessories) and they are interested in how it goes.

I posted in the shipping thread too, but I'm in California so that may be why it was so fast? @Vapetrees order took a few days longer

I did an EverClear soak of everything for about an hour and got no discoloring at all and then rinsed in water and did a burned off. No off tastes on my first vape. Still enjoying the honeymoon.

Gorgeous!!! ENJOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! OMG I LOVE my TInymight....just love it.

My titanium stem does not have any issues (smooth as a baby's bottom), but tbh I have not tried it yet, I have been using my glass from my OG TM.
That is my favorite with the cooling unit inside...I learned that from George Vapefiend...and I put a wooden tip I purchased from one of the fella's...mine looks primo. Love it. I also have the long glass stem...super nice too.

@Shit Snacks I’m in California too. Mine took longer because of the day I ordered I think, and because it was delayed by customs. It came double boxed too! I didn’t ask for it to be. That’s how they sent it. Also, my titanium stem does not have any issues. Sorry to hear yours does. I love the grain on yours. Let me pull mine out and see how it looks 😂

jfc yours looks INCREDIBLE! I stg, if I didn't order mine direct I'd be wondering if I got a counterfeit... it works great and I'm def satisfied but it's hard not to be a little bummed seeing pics like these, when the grain on mine looks closer to that of the TM1 than many of the pics I've seen.

Oh! I didn't realize we were in the same area haha I forgot you did customs hold up too... Yeah it's not a big deal with the Ti stem, I'll try to get a photo to post here, I was expecting it to be maybe angled but not with the slight taper angle so I don't know either way I've got plenty of stems!

PXL-20220927-073120769.jpg

Yeah you can see what I mean here, the way the edge is cut at a slight angle for another level, it's almost like it's being rounded although they are angles, it's not as bad as I thought at first now that I take it out again, but in the photo it is a bit more of a tactile sharp edge that makes me a little more weary for mouth or inserting into the TM, would be nice if they were fully polished and rounded? Would cost more of course...

Inside the stem was not too dirty, but there was a bit of dirtiness inside the inner steel tube as well as the threading I mentioned earlier... The cooling unit however seems to be pretty sparkling clean!

Haha well I wouldn't worry too much about that, it was even possible to get the OG oak with some nice grain potentially, that's always the nature of any wood, colors and grain, for better and for worse!

@Shit Snacks take your time to test it, and then please post the practical differences from OG model

Of course, but the practical differences should be pretty apparent? (Depends on the definition of practical I suppose, but the biggest benefit seems like the overall fit and finish, more of a finalized feeling, polished unit with all around better parts and build)

The grain looks like a mini sand dune on a beach. Beautiful unit SS. Let us know your thoughts when you take her for a spin.

@Shit Snacks Are your both ends like that ? Mine also has that edge on one side too,i think it is meant to be on the bowl side. I think the little conical slope on the inside is meant to facilitate better the use arizer style cupscreens, which get a bit wider near the rim,but i might be too high. The other side on my Ti stem is perfectly rounded.
I was also surprised how clean is everything in the TM2 package ,it is the cleanest out of the box vaporizer i have ever encountered. I will have yet to snap some photos but i am also happy with the grain style .

So when the batteries deteriorate over time, do they become less efficient?

Will they still need the same energy expenditure to charge, despite giving less back?

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Hey everyone,

for many years I was a pretty casual stoner, but already liked glass vapes. Mainly to reduce the amount of herb.

For some time I started to smoke pure Joints again (so slim and short joints. Tobacco only used a 'buffer' after the filter). After getting into endurance sport again I bought a cheap vape on amazon till it broke. When I wanted to replace it, I found a good deal for the Crafty+ and bought it.

So far the Crafty+ works great. I only have like 2-3 sessions per week and I really like it. But I noticed how I sometimes wanted 'a bigger hit'. The High with the Crafty good, but it takes like 10 minutes to fully toast the herb. Normally I cycle through the different temperature states. It's great for relaxing on a walk or late evening. But sometimes I wish for more and something quicker.

I though about buying a DynaVap with some kind of heater. But for the first time I read about different kind of heating mechanism. For example the TinyMight does a better job with the AirFlow. I also like all the 'Design'-Features like replaceable batteries, temperature control on the device, etc.

Is the TM2 the right device for me, or would it be to similar to Crafty and the big price wouldn't deliver me the upgrade I 'expect'?

I have a Crafty I just bought and just LOVE IT! Its small and light. But, the VAPE OF CHOICE is the TM 2 this is a vape that has it ALL! The power, the taste, all of the bells and whistle's...for a perfect price. Comparing this with what is out there....please buy a TM 2 you will NOT regret it at all. For my experience and I am a newbie...TM 2 has become my Firefly...which was my number one for awhile...not anymore. For a powerful portable that is not plastic...TM 2 hands down the best.

Well that came to $310 shipped (presumably +a $5 international transaction charge I'm expecting) so I did the damn thing, while there was plenty of stock without a bum rush and a great price! Seems like it will be transferred to USPS shipping from LaPoste in France... Hopefully quick? Meanwhile I confirmed my security of an eventual purple heart direct as well  (and a GVB stem)
I wonder why it was so cheap here. I ordered from Dr. Vap too just now and the price went from 349eur to 290eur at checkout. After shipping I think it wound up being ~320eur.

Does anyone know about how long it takes to get from France to the states? Super stoked to be getting one of these.

I ordered one on Saturday so we are both sorta in the same boat. I think my tracking says that fedex air has my package on the French side. I live in FL so hopefully this hurricane that’s about to hit us doesn’t fuck shipping services to bad

Also you’ll probably also get a additional 9$ conversion adjustment charge on your credit card. At least I did.

Yea I'm up in Virginia so not to far from you. Good luck with the hurricane down there.

Even if they hit me with the $9 it still makes it cheaper than direct. I think as of now I'm looking at $311 so far. Awesome savings. Assuming Docteur Vaporisateur is legit which according to threads and posts I think they are.
