TinyMight / TM 2

I looking forward to finding out what type of wood the red TM2 is made out of. I think that is the only question that I haven’t seen answered about the TM2.
It could be made out of balsa wood which I’m sure it’s not and I still want the red one.

Not sure where it was confirmed exactly, but someone mentioned here that it is purpleheart wood actually,
Was it confirmed or speculative? I don’t recall. Does purpleheart typically look red? I know we’ve confirmed the woods aren’t stained. No matter I’m sure it’s a nice wood - the red one of course (and the others too). :peace:

EDIT: in real TM news, my Tinymight exhibited a couple of odd battery level incidents. I’ve been using a few old VTC6s in the rotation among newer and more p26a’s and I actually got 1 buzz at the battery level when turning it on with one battery (it only last a couple of draws but I rarely get 1 buzz with newer cells). With a different one I got 3 buzzes turning on the TM, took a draw and then it died. I cleaned the batt terms too very well recently as well. Strange indeed but how l love this vape!

Seem to be, based on I think maybe it was someone messaging... someone lol and what I had replied with at the time, was that I have had experience with reddish ph, so there is no typical for purpleheart really as it can come in a variety of different shades depending where it is sourced and other factors (uv rays tend to turn it brown so it also can be finished to look different ways protecting the color and bringing it out)

Read the battery voltage after a FULL charge with a voltage meter (DMM). With NO LOAD, It should read approximately 4.1-4.2 volts.
Next vape two bowls, then remove the battery and read the voltage again. If it’s a lot lower, then the battery is near or at the end of its life.

Under an amperage LOAD, heater drawing current, the voltage will always drop a bit, even with a new battery, and the voltage lowers slowly until you get the “low battery” indication. On older, warn down batteries, the voltage drops much quicker, and you get less vape “power” time.

Anyone using rechargeable batteries should own at least one inexpensive DMM….. relying on a device “buzzing” is …..

I thought there was a copied ig post or something in this thread soon after the the colours were announced that stated the red is a "naturally dyed" wood.

@Djsleepy are you saying the red unit is dyed walnut?

I didn’t think there was any dye in the woods and they were natural. This is what I recall posted herein, not necessarily the type of wood which I’m unsure of (nor am I wood expert) though Walnut and Purpleheart have been mentioned recently which are plausible. :peace:

I always thought walnut had a coffee or dark brown color. Are you sure the red TM2 is made of walnut? Perhaps there is a red variation of walnut…

You guys misunderstood, he said the standard base unit, for the pre-orders, is going to be the walnut... not the red.

Someone was able to find a post with the speculation that the red one was dyed wood, but can that same person find the post that said it was confirmed purple heart too??

And will oak be available as a third option...?

Nah, I didn't find that one, I bet it's soon after the post I liked to though if you fancy finding it. :brow: I don't think there has been any confirmation of the wood type for the red device, at least not from someone connected to the manufacturer. I hope I'm wrong though because I'd love it too be an exotic wood.

Edit - thanks @FelixVonTrapp not enough of a confirmation for my mind tbh, but maybe @vapen00b is connected to TM and I want aware...

I tried emailing ville earlier, will update if I get a reply.

Haha oh yeah thanks! He is not connected with them, but he was messaging with someone at the company pretty sure, that's who told him about the PH, and for me it seems to check out at least :2c: :peace:
